very helpful information
I read this book after starting my new job as a debt collector and it helped me to triple the amount i was collecting the month after I read it. I only read the areas that directly affected my specific job, so I can only speak for some of the book, but what i did read was well written and very informative. A definite for anyone collecting or dealing with credit collectors.

Still the interrogator's Bible
Decades after its first edition, this is still considered the best work on interrogating a criminal suspect. The authors walk you through every step, towards the goal of clearing the innocent and eliciting confessions from the guilty. No detail or nuance is left unexplored, not only of the suspect's behavior, but of your own as well. This book is a must read for anyone involved in criminal justice.

An informative text and commentary
Showcasing Dante Marioni's glassblowing with 139 colorplates and four black/white photographs, Tina Oldknow (Curator of Modern Glass at the Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, New York); Joseph Marioni (twice artist-in-residence at the Pilchuck Glass School); and Edward R. Quick (Curator, Presidential Materials Staff, National Archives and Records Administration, Washington, D.C.) offer an informative text and commentary that enhances our understanding of this truly gifted man and his work. Very highly recommended for all serious personal, academic, professional, and community library collections, Dante Marioni: Blown Glass provides a "reader friendly" step-by-step depiction of the process used in the making of a blown-glass vase, a list of public collections, solo and group exhibitions, bibliography, biography, and index.

Great!!
This is a great book. I learned keyboard from it years ago (using the 1982 edition). I'm now back to order some more for my kids who are learning keyboard now. This is not your traditional approach to learning piano----much better. However, I'd rather it not assume so much that you know musical notation already. I had some knowledge of notation starting out so book was good for me. However, I think you can learn keyboard (playing popular music) without starting with traditional notation (which initally can be so frustrating).

B.Wells, Esquire, reviews The Fall of the House of Habsburg
This is a marvelous little history of one of the great royal dynasties of Eurpoe which came to an end with the First World War.

Proof of the universal appeal of this book and Crankshaw's writing style lies in the fact that this reviewer has read the book at three different times in his life (once as an undergraduate, another time at the conclusion of law school and yet another time about a year ago). Even though each of these three readings occurred at times when the reviewer's outlook and background on the subject matter was quite different, he derived pleasure and something new with each reading.

A great book!
I enjoyed reading this book. I was able to sense the enthusiasm of the author as he oulined FIVE well-defined steps to success. It is loaded with inspiration! The testimonies throughout this book helped to charge me up as well. I think that students from middle school to adulthood will truly benefit from this work. Although I am already in the work world, I am constantly doing various courses to upgrade my skills. This book has truly motivated me to continue to strive for excellence in academia. I believe this book will inspire others to continue their academic pursuits and propel those who want to improve in school.

Excellent retelling of the Great Awakening
I have read a number of works on revivals and this revival in particular. This is the one book on the subject that I have gone back to time and again. It is both scholarly thorough and devotionally helpful. As I read of the changes in the lives in the villagers of New England I became more and more impressed with how true revivals are such awesome and precious things.

This book is very helpful for our day as well. In describing the excesses of this revival (especially those that had to do with Davenport) and in the detailed accounts of unwanted side-phenomena, we see sad similarities to what has been experienced in some of our churches today. This book shows what a true revival looks like.

The writing is sometimes a little stilted (the book was first published in 1842), but this is a minor price to pay for all of the good information it brings to the serious reader. I certainly recommend it.
