This is a wonderful book for a child with dyslexia after you get to college. This has a lot of helpful information. I need a book on how to get to college and then apply this book.

He did, and in doing so he assembled the first research laboratory and gathered around him a collection of great minds -- a rich assortment of men with varying talents.

This book offers exercises, explanation and examples of a transformative approach to radical social change. While I believe it is out of print, I will keep recommending it to anyone who's working on issues of oppression and organizational change within their movement.

In this well-researched and illustrated book two officers of the English College of Arms write with authority about the heraldry to be discovered in many different forms in some historic homes under the management of the National Trust of England. This book is a joy to read and browse, for the serious student of heraldry, and those seeking a deeper understanding of the uses of heraldry as seen in historic homes of Britain.

This collection of essays has a rather tight focus: it was compiled to mark the centennial of the "Shaw Memorial" in Boston by examining the events which inspired that sculpture, how the artist joined other media in celebrating the courage of black soldiers and their white companions, and how the saga of the 54th has moved out of Boston to take on a national life since the Civil War and especially since 1897. Thus the various essays present a nuanced picture of a widening cultural movement. Especially in the past half-century, black contributions to our national life have stepped forward to take their rightful place in our national consciousness, though much remains to be found out and held up to American society. Hopefully this volume marks the beginning of a national pride in which all can celebrate what blacks have achieved (generally at dreadful personal cost). I would have been interested in learning more about the poetry and fiction this regiment--and "the Shaw," its memorial--have inspired over the past 140 years. Whether they're wonderful or dreadful (and there have been plenty of both), stories and poems also demonstrate how our consciousness of black achievement has developed. We need all the help we can get, to learn from the past and move beyond it, but this book is a good start.`

This book is the compilation of Lectures given by Tesla in the late 1880's where he explains basically everything he has done so far, including real practical advice on how to build motors, coils, etc. Get it and ask yourself howcome he is rarely mentioned in today's textbooks.

This is one of the only elementary texts I've found that explains Latin meter correctly and from first principles. Handbooks of Greek meter often treat Latin in a 2-page appendix, saying little more than "The Romans borrowed all these meters." This book, on the other hand, is half Latin and half Greek, and works equally well for students starting from either language. The Latin aeolic meters are explained in terms of the glyconic, not in terms of "feet" as so many books do; this makes it easier to see how aeolic meters work and facilitates learning the Greek versions later. The meters of Plautus and Terence are explained, but saturnians are only briefly mentioned. The student of Greek is also well served by West's book (though this one is an easier read), but for Latin there is not a whole lot else that is as good.

This is a fantastic book that all OB caregivers should have in their pockets!! It goes beyond the usual text stuff and gets right down to "HOW" to give great care. Foley is a master at making things simple. This is a great book!!

Martin (Associate Professor, Department of Theology and Religious Studies, Villanova University) is a informative presentation introducing the reader to Augustine of Hippo, the theologian, convert, bishop, and polemicist whose spiritual vision holds abiding insights for the faithful across the span of centuries. A thoughtful and philosophical treatise covering the legacy of a great Christian historical figure, Our Restless Heart is a welcome and valued contribution to Roman Catholic Theology in general, and Augustinian Studies in particular.
