This book is no guide to anything
This author calls himself an "achieved" master, after reading this book one would have to be totally naive to take anything written by the author with any degree of seriousness. Don't waste your time on so-called "Master Ni.

Guidance for the sensitive
I took this book with me on a trip to Costa Rica and on my long bus rides here and there in between absorbing the beautiful landscape of the rainforest i was so well taken care of by reading this book. Now sure its not gonna grab your attention with drama or over excitement but it is really insightful and gentle. I enjoyed this book the first time reading it, knowing that i'd grasp it better on a second go around. I have this and many of hua ching ni books in my library and i receive him as well as the other "guides"/authors(Osho,Emmet fox,Arnold ehret, Thomas troward,Paul coehlo) that i have gravitated toward as beings that are kindred to my being. For those who dismiss him as phoney---so be it to them. Let your discerning heart decide.

Good fortune starts by not wasting your money
This book is not a Taoist Book, but a book by a new-age cultist selling his belief system to the gullible and naive. YOU HAVE ALREADY HAD GOOD FORTUNE BY READING THIS REVIEW AND SAVING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.

good things come to those who are good
this book is a great way to reform your mind and the ill conditioning that takes place in our country. We would all love2live a great world society of love and caring for one another and the secret is no mystery........it begins with ourselves. This book is a tool. One has the ability to use it for constructive cultivation or destructive ignorance. i wonder about the negativity in some reviews yet there is freedom to express and the power of truth does not need proof, it is complete in itself. This may not be the all encompassing book of tao, it is a good book for your spiritual being and in effect, your entire self.

Poorly researched and poorly written
After reading most of this text, I have a problem relating to this man as a Taoist Master or anything but a meglomanic.

For the Mystical you
this was really tough for me to comprehend and for that i accept it as something i will study and continue to build with. The simple fact that a symbol can teach you tells me that there is so much wisdom available all around us each day that if we stopped to take a look around, we would be overwhelmed by the enormous beauty in everyday life consistently teaching us more and more about ourselves. Approach this book as if its in another language, it is truly more than a mouthful, but taking your time, bite by bite, you will pick up on the mysticism within.

This buffalo rider ought to ride out of sight.
A new-age book that has nothing to do with the real study of the WAY... A book for the gullible and uninformed.

Working for self attainment.
Once again Master Ni has provided a book which helps to guide one to thier true self. This book is another tool to bring one not to an awareness of external spiritual trappings, but to greater alligence to one's inner-self. Well worth the time. Use it for your cultivation.

1st book in the reading list for the Ni cult.
This is one of the books one must buy (1st of 55 books) to become "enlightened" by this "achieved" author......A Cult for the stupid and naive. Do not waste your money or time.

Spiritual progress, minus the hype!
This book is a beautiful collection of spiritual truths from Master Ni's Taoist path of the Integral Way. It gives guidance without dogma, guilt ridden religious teachings and theological speculation. It is a treat to see Integral teachings shared without the suggestion that one must take on external religious trappings to be spiritual. Many of the teachings seem straight-forward, and this may disappoint some who need the esoteric "wow" experience to feel spiritual. The path of this book is spiritual teachings of integrity, that can be lived by all people, which can lead one to a simple and plain life of true spiritual achievement. A book for the mature spiritual student who is ready to develop from within. The plain path is easy to think you know but the truest and most difficult to walk. Master Ni assists in guiding one on this path.

NEW-AGE BOOK,
THIS AUTHOR CALLS HIMSELF A 'ACHIEVED TAOIST MASTER'...WHAT A JOKE....THIS AUTHOR IS ABOUT AS MUCH OF A TAOIST AS PORKEY PIG..A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME.

9-11
Amazing that this book was written before 9 11. too bad information like this is not available to those occupying high seats in politics, maybe wars and all these destructive conflcts would be handled better. Anyhow i've written many reviews today because i have read alot of hua ching ni's books. i felt the need to balance the amount of negative reviews given by one reader who most likely has not read many of Ni's book and who puts false locations to portray himself as another reviewer. It's not fair if you have an agenda and you are writing reviews that deter peoples genuine interest. Can we have more integrity in this review system-----let alone the world. maybe reading books like these can help, i'm all for supporting the positve cause...are you?

Buyer Beware
Hua-Ching Ni claims to be a "fully acknowledged and empowered as a True Master of the Tao". Acknowledged by whom. Possibly his cult in California? The book is a fine example of distorted subversive Taoist teachings and practices available intended for the ignorant, easily misled new-ager. Beware of any book that claims to be written by a 'true master of the Tao' and denounces all other taoist teachings, as well as all scientific and religious teachings. All I can say is buyer beware, and if your new to Taoist studies, don't let this book turn you off Taoist practice altogether.

Those who speak do not know...
While I am insulted by the above review, I am neither gullible, nor a "new ager", and, in fact, have studied Taoism for the past seven years. I am familiar with "The Way" in both theory and practice.

Far from being a "new age" book, Master Ni unfolds with great clarity and simplicity a philosophical foundation for understanding internal Taoist work. Despite the numerous slanders against Ni Hua Ching in this review section, his books offer a degree of clarity to many who would otherwise find only confusion in the teachings of the Way.

Furthermore, the negative reviewers do not substantiate their claims against Ni Hua Ching in any concrete or straightforward manner and seem intent only on slandering the author annonymously while massaging the reviewers own ego.

Disgusting.

Taoist Inner View of the Universe and the Immirtal Realm
In this book, the world's most prolific Taoist writer (more than 40 titles in English) describes the complex and profound spiritual realm in a refreshingly straight forward manner. Master Ni explains that the ancient Taoist turned their focus inward to explore the "inner" universe of spirituality. This very metaphysical book details what the author and pervious generations of Taoist Masters have discovered about the "Immortal Realm" from their own expirences. Those interested in the authors backround (spiritual linage) and/or perfer less metaphysical and more scientific aspects of Toaism, should read the authors excellent " Tao - The Subtle Universal Law and the Integral Way of Life."

Incoherent, bogus mumbo jumbo of "Taoism"
This Mr Ni puts himself out as the only chinese person who "knows". What a joke, If you would like to join a cult and have Mr Ni as your guru then I would recomend this trash.

Very useful book emphasizing naturalness and wholeness
It is always useful to realize that people have been "battling" for thousands of years with the same trend away from naturalness. This book emphasizes wholeness as a way of life.

For some readers, the sprinkling of Chinese cosmology will be totally off the wall -- for others it will make a lot of sense. Either way the theme is the same -- focus on making your life natural to you!

Ricidules and boring book
This author knows as much about real taoism as peter pan....don't waste your time or money

A worthwhile little booklet
This little booklet contains a well done translation of two classic Taoist teachings. Unlike the authors other books (original works and translations of classics), these teachings were made for the barely literate Chinese peasent. The language is very simple - on par with what the booklet "The Daily Word" is to Christian teachings. While it's overly simplified teachings may rub some the wrong way, these classic teachings are essential examples of how Taoism was passed on to the common Chinese.

An embarressment to Taoism
This author is very poor. This book has little to do with the Tao and much to do with boosting the author's already inflated ego...He calls himself an achieved master....HA HA HA, It you need some good humor by a man whom is trying to be the new Taoist "christ figure" here is your book

Good book by a humble man
This author has written more than 40 books over the last 20 years ranking him as the worlds most prolific Taoist writer. Sometimes he rambles but he always leads readers back to the profound. Some people are jealous of the high regard he is held in by those familar with his works and try to trash him. Read any of his books, including this one, and you will find him humble and wise.
