Can't pick and choose the facts you use.
I was involved with Rudy and Frank for part of the research for the book. I aranged for Rudy to be bailed out of jail after being arested in Miami as a matter of fact he ended marrying his bondswoman. Funny how much of the "facts" Rudy had me check out that didn't quite add up never made the book. Anyway, Rudy used me as I imagine he used many of the Tyson-King clan and he got left out. Too bad, my heart is broken for him. As far as I'm concerned he deserved what he got. He is a user in my opinion.

World Tour!
What can I say but "Complete devotion to his clients safety." I should know this first hand because Rudy protected me while I was the lead singer of the Grammy award winning Latin group of the year (The Barrio Boyzz.) For those of you that haven't read this book, it is definitely a must! I am currently working on my new Spanglish solo album entitled "Diaries of a Broken Heart," "Diario De Un Corazon Erido," which I am happy to say that the single from the album has been chosen for the soundtrack of the movie, " The Inner Ring." Which should hit the stores early this year on "J" Records. I do this safely knowing that Rudy will be there on my next world tour.

PS For all our fans don't forget to call "J" Records to receive a free copy of my single "I Shall Return," " Y Volvere."

God Bless, and follow all your dreams!

Unbelievable
What a book! I couldn't believe the deceit and fraud committed upon Mike Tyson by his so called "family". No one could have this bird's eye view of the live of Mike Tyson like Rudy, his personal bodyguard for over five years. Some of the evidence Rudy has regarding Tyson's rape case is staggering. I challenge anyone who thinks Mike Tyson is a rapist to read this book. I guarantee you will have doubts regarding his guilt. Rudy does a fantastic job of describing the ins and outs of the bodyguard business, fanatic live of "Iron Mike".

Letters: C.S. Lewis, Don Giovanni Calabria: A Study in Friendship

A warm correspondence
"Te beatum dico et dicam" = "I call you blessed and I always shall." Thus Father Don Giovanni Calabria addresses C.S. Lewis at one point in their correspondence out of gratitude for his work as a scholar and author. Between 1947 and 1954, C.S. Lewis and Don Giovanni Calabria exchanged a series of letters, written in Latin, sharing their concerns with each other and encouraging each other to carry on in the work of God. There is real warmth of feeling on both parties parts, and even if you don't read Latin, you will enjoy the English translations of this exchange. After Father Calabria died in 1954, Lewis continued to correspond with his fellow priest Don Luigui Pedrollo through 1961. Moynihan did a fine job of rendering these letters into English vernacular, so that Lewis's distinctive style can still be detected even through the lense of translation.

must-read material for New England riding
With basically one day to plan my trip (so I am a bit last-minute these days), this book was an indespensible boost in the good-time department. It is a great book to get you started, and provides all the necessary clues to create your own journeys. After a couple of days, you get to understand the way the maps illustrate the individual roads, and marty's book helps you identify the best kinds to explore. Sometimes the routes get confusing, but that just adds to the adventure. Makes a great gift, as I told the friend who got it for me.

Excellent Introduction to Tam
This book is perfect if you don't know where to go on Mt Tam's 200 miles of trails but have always wanted to explore the mountain. The trail summaries, "getting there" instructions and maps, as well as the actual trail maps are easy and informative. The trail ratings (for running and hiking) are useful as well. This book makes a great gift.

An easy read and some great best practices.
Although I am not a sports fan (I literally don't know what season it is most of the time), I found that the book did a great job of highlighting the best practices of great coaches and how managers out in the business world can apply them in their every day work. Since reading the book I've been able to leverage many of these best practices to build and motivate highly successful teams in the commercial software industry.

Tying to make the boring into the palatable
What to do if you're trying to make something as stupid and boring as the bible into something that a poor gullible child will accept? This is the problem faced by the authors, and they do a half-way decent job of presenting bible idiocy as something partly entertaining as a comic book. Should be useful for gullible, brainwashed parents attempting to produce gullible, brainwashed children. Start them with Santa, and if they believe that, move on to the bible in comic book form.

Bible comics
Great idea with uneven results. Some superb art in places, but not always as an appropriate counterpoint to the accompanying Scriptures. The parts that do succeed are worth the cover price alone.

a Biblical Renaissance?
This book was well received by me and my teenagers. There needs to be more artistic interpretations like this that tackle scripture. Not every translation done in this book is accurate to the Word of God but every piece is brilliant in its own right. Bravo! Encore!

Not all bad, not all good...
This isn't a bad book, but the information is very broad, with not as many specifics as one might believe - or want. For exapmle, the book does not contain directions on how to obtain a work card to get a job in casinos, or what a work card is. Other info has nothing to do with Nevada but is still useful, like how to write a cover letter. The best info is the geographic info and the descriptions of the towns and real estate. The book's shortcomings deal with jobs and money issues (save real estate)Also, the book's writing style is very informal, to the point of dumbing down the material. Still, it's a pretty good place to start, but you'll want more specific info later.

Finally...a book that puts Nevada within reach!
This book is very insightful for those who wonder what Nevada has to offer other than tourism and casinos. A must read if you are thinking about moving to this state!

Boo! NO MAPS!
I bought a few guide books to plan a trip to Seattle, the city of my birth. With only a few days to spend, The title attracted me because it is the TEN BEST THINGS to do.

225 pages on TEN THINGS?

NO MAPS - all landmarks are the same print color, events tend to blend into one another. Also the book is large, not an easy fit into the purse.

I recommend Access Seattle, which is a great guide full of easy to read maps, wonderful reviews and an easy to read lay out! Also gives you clues into festivals different times of the year. Not to mention, a good size to fit into a bag.

I gave it two stars because the book is rich in history. So, it is an interesting read, but I would not plan a vacation around it.

America's Emerald City
This book has been very helpful in planning my first distance adventure by myself. Instead of reading EVERYTHING about Seattle, it narrows down things to the important information of opportunities that I have in my short week visit. This has been a great help in deciding upon B&Bs and hotels, baseball tickets, boat excursions, etc. It is a must read for planning a trip to Seattle.

Don't bother unless you're 55+
My husband and I recently bought a home in Prescott, AZ and I purchased this book as a resource for the local economy, job info etc. as we plan to move to the area in a year or so. The section of the book on "job seekers" seems to contain mostly outdated information and refers to statistics between 1985 and 1995 only.

I have been to Arizona about 6 times and I skimmed through the book in search of additional information about the state I plan to live in, but didn't find much of anything I didn't already know. Most of the historical and cultural information is trivial; the climate, economy and travel information is no more detailed than what one could find over the internet by visting a city's chamber of commerce.

The information is also very general as the book covers the entire state of Arizona, so it is not a recommended read for someone looking for specific information about a certain city. This book might be good for someone looking for retirement community information and/or travel information if one intended to take a motor home tour through the state...otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.

Almost identical to 1991 Edition - Look elsewhere
I first started with the a book entitled, Moving to Arizona, published in 1991, then picked up this title, Arizona in Your Future, published in 1998, and writted by the same duo. The two books are the same! Minimal, very minimal updates, same use of tiny, completely undetailed maps and very bland reading. The "Top 10" reviewer who rated this book 5 stars obviously didn't read this book, just rated it. Please, make better use of your time and don't throw other readers off to heighten your standings as to the amount of books you review.

Very helpful BEFORE you come to AZ
I live in Arizona. I moved here in March of 2000, and before I moved in, I got a copy of this book, after having researched all the options in a bookstore. The good thing about the book is that it's an extremely valuable resource BEFORE you move in, and even if you're only considering whether to move to AZ. It gives you tons of figures and tips, ranging from how to deal with the desert weather, to how the state's "lemon law" works, just to name a couple of them.

The downside to the book, though, is the date in which it was edited: 1998. Since then (it's been three years now) lots of things have changed: area codes, population, some laws, etc. If you're looking for a state guide to use for tourism purposes, or as a daily reference guide, look elsewhere (I'd recommend Frommer's guide -it's truly complete and up-to-date).
