Do not waste your time with this book
You are much better off with Kaplan or Princeton Review. The sample tests that Arco offers are not reflective of the actual LSAT (other books actually use real LSATs)and their explantions of the answers are not very helpful. The best prep is to buy the LSAC Triple Prep books.

Analytical/logical reasoning help? You won't find it here!
I've wasted 10 of my 30 days to my LSAT with this book. 15 years ago I scored in the 97th percentile in the analytical reasoning section of the GRE - I say this only to show that I'm not incapable of doing logic problems. I expected the book to help me get my somewhat rusty mental processes back up to speed. Instead, I was massivly frustrated by their muddy explainations of practice test answers and total lack of help in choosing the correct answer. Explaining that answer "E" is correct, but not why A, B, C, and D are not and what tricks lurk in them is NOT helpful! Buy the Princeton Review's or Kaplan's LSAT book if you need logic problem help, not this dud. By the way, despite what every LSAT book tells you about visiting the test site and doing a practice test in the very room where your test will be held -- forget it. Security reasons prevent test sites from giving out the room number!

Analytical part is awful
The explanation and examples of the analytical part are mediocre at best; the truth is that they are no help at all: they will merely confuse you more. However. the logical/reading comp. sections are not as bad.

Time-wasting if not skill-diminishing
I've read this book for LSAT prep. While the selection of passages is excellent, crafting of questions is simply a bad joke. To be precise, it is mostly the answer choices that makes this book time-wasting, if not skill-diminishing. The answer choices in this book are just not the kind of choices that appear in an actual test. Especially annoying is that many "right" answer choices can be right only after a very very long stretch of logic, which NEVER happens in a real test.

NOT WORTH
I have reviewed the first 3 chapters which contains explaination given by the author to tackle the reading comprehension questions. But to co-relate the theory(explaination given by author) to the practice questions is practically not possible.

MY CONFIDENCE HAS NOT INCREASED BY ANY CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! READING THIS BOOK.

Excellent study tool
This book helps the reader learn the correct way to annotate and outline the paragraphs on the reading comprehension section of the GRE*MCAT*LSAT*GMAT. It was very helpful.

Not the best review book available...
While I haven't tried any of the other books available for the test, I have to say that this one is rather aggravating. The review itself isn't too bad, despite the fact that it starts in elementary school math and progressed to topics that I don't think would ever be on the test. The practice test is horrible, with questions accompanied by incorrect diagrams, doubled answer choices, incorrect answers and questions, etc. I ended up getting an 800 on the Math IIC test, so it might not be completely useless... but I'd still definately recommend trying another book.

It was OK....but proofreading would have helped
I was so glad I didn't buy this book b/c there were errors in it. Not too many where it would be a book I would never reccommend, but there were mistakes. I am surprised b/c one would think a test prep book would be proof read before it was released. All and all it was a good book and I'm glad I had it to get through the GRE. I gave it only one star b/c it should have been proof read better. Hopefully the next edition will be correct

Didn't they proofread this book?
I found this review book to be very frustrating. My fiance, who has a finance degree, found many errors with there math examples. The answers to most of the math examples were typos and that made it increasingly frustrating. It squeezed too much useless information into each section and did not provide enough useful tips on saving time. If one was to buy this book, they better have a bookstore available to look at supplementary GRE materials. If you are looking for a confidence builder to the GRE, don't search here.

Just about ok.
Actually it is not a book a guy should buy. Maybe it is just worth borrowing and going through for a week. The exercises are not at all challenging and tend to give a false impression of the GRE as a very easy exam. Also it lacks a good word list.

Amelia Earhart (What's Their Story?)
Published in Hardcover by Oxford University Press (24 April, 1997)
Authors: Andrew Langley and Alan Marks
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

Sparse information and inaccuracies.
The attractive, easy reading format doesn't save this disappointing entry to the "What's Their Story" series. I had hoped for more from a reputable publisher, but I'm afraid I find inaccuracies in children's materials unacceptable. The timeline in the back gives the incorrect year that Amelia Earhart disappeared, a pretty basic fact that puts the quality of the entire series in question and the capabilities of Oxford to publish children's material in doubt. Our children deserve more respect than this.
