"This is a great series and it has a promising future"
Ragnarok #2 kicks butt!
The second manwa in the series is just as good if not better than the first. The art style is amazing. Alright enough about how great the manwa is, let me tell you what to expect. Don't worry I'm not going to spoil anything. Well if I do please don't be mad. So the plot thickens in the second volume. You are introduced to shocking new secrets about a couple of the characters. This is also were the real fighting starts. And don't worry if you have a faint stomach the fighting scenes don't get very gory. In Ragnarok 2 you'll also be introduced to Loki and his group of assasins. They are mysterious and not much is revealed about them. They are sure to play some important part in future. So I really can't think of much else to write because I really don't want to ruin anything for anyone. Hope this was helpful. I really recommend this to anyone who enjoys manga or anime.

A BEAUTIFUL READ!
This book was great! I was so into it that I finished in a day! I laughed with Darkhorse, I smiled with Erini, I lost my mind with Shade, I died with Drayfitt, I helped save 'Aurim Bedlam' with Cabe and Gwen,I gasped at the sight of Nimth, and I even cried at the end ( If you have read it you know what I am talking about, but I don't want to spoil the ending if you haven't). I felt so comfertable with the characters because they were so real (You're Real! ). I was blinded by the tears in my eyes the first time I read it but when I re-read it when I got control over myself, I picked up a hint that there was a possibility that Shade was still alive. I have not read the later ones so I don't know, but I am dying to read them! To summarize: If you haven't read Shadow Steed, you have missed the adventure of a lifetime!
This book was cool. Period.
I think this book was excellently written because it blended an interesting plot with a large amount of detail. The book had a fast pace so it would apeal to younger readers or people who enjoy action books. Richard Knaak paints a perfect picture of the battle of an eternal steed against a foe of unimaginable power. A must-read for fantacy lovers.

Fantastic Read
I wound up reading this after several of the other dragonrealm novels, and you really don't have much reference to any of the other characters (Cabe, Gwen, Gryphon, etc) other than in the prelude. However, the characters here are endearing and entertaining. You will cheer for the good guys and hate the bad guys, typical of Richard Knaak's other works. If you read this however, you must follow through with his other novels, although Children of the Drake and Dragon's Tome drag a bit, it does set the stage for Firedrake, even though Firedrake is the first in the set, I believe.
Un-Fogs the Mystery surrounding the Dragonrealm!
This book, the Shrouded Realm, un-fogs much of the strange mystery of the Vraad and the Dragonrealm itself. I was so surprised at all the things I discovered, like the origin of Sirvak Dragoth, the Guardians, Darkhorse, and, most importantly, the slight clearing up of Shade's past. I love the author's style. He slips subtle hints about things that you would miss if you were not looking for it. and even then it feels like you know something nobody else does. I recommed this book!
The Crystal Dragon

Very Good!
This book is a must read for all Dragonrealm fans. In it, Nimth is let into the Dragonrealm by the Crystal Dragon, who is really the last of the Vraad and a character that you met before if you read the Origin of the Dragonrealm, in an attempt to stop the wolf raiders from taking over Legar. Also, the wolf raiders awaken the Quel and take Darkhorse prisoner. The Gryphon and Troia return from over the sea and Cabe Bedlam is led by dreams to the aid of the Crstal Dragon. Very suspenseful and well written!

Great!
a great book about the Emperor's hatchlings and Toma's sudden reappearances (although he was really there all along) and evil plots. Kyl, the heir to the Dragon throne, travels to Talak and Penacles to visit the rulers before his coronation, accompanied by the power behind the throne- his brother Grath,Drakhorse, and his mentor Benjin Traske. Interesting things happen while they are there- an assasination attempt that ends up killing Toos, a ceremony in the crypts of Talak. When they return, they are taken prisoner by none other than the infamous and powerful Duke Toma at the Manor. It all finishes in Kivan Grath, where a battle to the death between Toma and Cabe has a somewhat tragic ending. But I cried in Godzilla. Toma has always been a favorite of mine- the drake you love to hate. A must for all Knaak fans!

Must Read!!!!!
This book is a must read for all richard Knaak readers, especially if you enjoy his Dragonrealm series. Dragon Tome is about the mysterious Libraries of Penacles and the first Bedlam in the Dragonrealm. If you have not read any of the Dragonrealm books, I would recommend that you read The Shrouded Realm or Firedrake first.

A Must Read!
This book is a very good conclusion to the Origin of the Dragonrealm series. It solves the mysteries of the Libraries of Penacles and is the first appearance of a Bedlam in the Dragonrealm. It is a little creepy but still very good. A must read for all Dragonrealm fans!

A very good read for all Dragonrealm fans!
This is a great book to read if you have read Firedrake before. However, if you have not read Firedrake you need to read it first so that you know what the characters are talking about. Then this is a great book. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, especially when Tyr prophecizes about Cabe's death. A great book for fantasy fans!

Dragons Rule in this book.
Lets face it I am not a big fan of fantasy books but this one I found to be a pleaser to read. I loved the way the Dragons where not portrayed as stupid animals but as cunning if not evil for the most part rulers.
I read this a few years ago and became fascinated with the way it showed the dragons way of life and culture. I enjoyed reading it then and pleased to see it back in print.
Food for the imagination!
Let's get straight to what you want to know, why this book is so good. You do have the typical conflict between good and evil, wars are waged and light seems as though it will fall. There are powerful warlocks abound, a beautiful enchantress, and shapeshifting Dragon Kings. But as usual, something unexpected occurs, and so the forces of evil are thwarted once again. The thing about this novel, is that the unexpected really is unexpected. Knaak creates a plot filled with twists and turns, not to mention fantastical concepts that I have not seen paralleled in all of my readings. I give this book a five purely on its ability to drive thought and imagination. Once you get past some of the rather unimaginative names (i.e. the gold dragon is named Gold, the black Black, and so on and so forth) then you are free to enjoy a magical ride of intrigue and suspense.
Dragonrealm Expert reviews Firedrake
I've read all of the Dragonrealm series which consists of The Shrouded Realm, Dragon Tome, Firedrake, Ice Dragon, Children of the Drake, Shadow Steed, Wolfhelm, The Crystal Dragon, and The Dragon Crown. Each of these are spectacular fantasy books, and Firedrake is by far the best work of the bunch. There are many well developed characters, and several good storylines going on at once which all come together for an outstanding climactic end. Most definitely one of my favorite books. Much better than any other Fantasy stuff that I've read including AD&D.

A great start in a good series
Ok. This book is awsome. Well, I suppose I should write more. I suppose I could tell you that Richard Knack is one of the best writers when it comes to plot twists. I could tell you about how the book grabs you and makes you want to read the book in one sitting (you should be warned at this time that while reading this book time passes at a much faster rate so set an alarm to go off whenever meals are ready). But the two things that make this book so endearing that you will want to read it time and time again are that Knack is possibly the best writer when it comes to battles of sorcery (his unique ideas and perspectives really make the magic come alive) and then there are his characters. Now I have read many books with cookie cutter characters (I know you all know what I mean) but Knacks characters are both unique and ineresting. All of them have something more going on than the story at hand and that is the way it should be. Alright, I'll give an example, stop shouting. Where did darkhorse come from and what are his motives, is he a friend, or is he just following the best coarse for his own motives. You find out in later books but I'm not going to tell you so there! I could tell you all of that but I think "This book is awesome" pretty much sums it up.
Firedrake
It is a really great book and i haven't read anything better in my life. I can't believe how good his books are and I can't stop reading them. I am constantly looking for other books written by him. I love the adventures and can't wait to see whats else is going to happen. I felt as if I was fighting right along side them, fighting the aweful Duke Toma. I cheared when they defeated many of the drake lords, and I wish i could have given Azran what he diserved myself. I love the ending, and I will keep reading more of his books. I recomend this book or any of his other books to anyone of anyage with any sort of imagination!
Fire Drake
I thoght this book was awsome!! I cheered at Cabe's esacpe from the Brown Dragon and the defeat of several other dragon kings. I enjoyed reading about the Gryghon's, Cabe's and the Lady of the Amber's adventures in the dragon relm. I felt as if I was there fighting along them and aginst the awful Duke Toma. And about Cabe's mad father Azran, I wish I could have given him what he deservrd by myself. The ending was better than I could have imagined. This was the first book by Richard A. Knaak that I've read and it kept me coming back for more and more of his books. I'm now hooked and I can't stop, I don't want to stop either. I've never read better books than his, and I dought that I ever will.

All of the characters look very realistic on a manga scale. I myself have read many graphic novels in my lifetime and this is in the range of the top five graphic novels.
The storyline is based on a girl named Iris Irine she is the dughter of a powerful man by the name of Lord Irine. Lord Irine's eldest daughter was to be sacrificed 12 years ago but things didnt go as planned. Iris escaped and was adopted to an army. Now in this book Lord Irine's daughter is back "and will feel her vengeance".
This is all I will tell you for right now but you will have to purchase this book to find out the rest.
