Brings you back to the real meaning and feeling of Christmas
The combination of his writings along with scripture quotes and his beautiful paintings is inspiring, comforting and a reminder of what Christmas is really about. A gentle, peaceful, heartfelt book in the midst of the commericialism we so easily get caught up with.

Heart Warming
I gave this book for a gift. I really wanted to keep it for myself, so will be buying another copy. Many of the pictures trigger memories for me- especially of my childhood. This book is a little serenity and comfort and get-away from a busy day. Kind of like spiritual refreshment. Love it!

Perfect for Mother's Day
If you have been searching for the perfect Mother's Day gift, your search is over. This is a lovely collection of paintings and verse, which can be personalized with your own thoughts and memories of your mother. I liked the ability to enhance the book with my own thoughts, and still have a nice collection of Kincaid's work in one small volume. It is very nice for a birthday, or any special time when you want your mom to remember what a special person she is in your life. This one is a must!

The Light Will Take Your Breath Away
The depictions of Kinkade's work in this book are so vivid that they will make your heart flutter! Each painting offers some new hidden discovery while the verse provided with each picture can bring tears to your eyes. This book has been prominantly displayed on my coffee table since I brought it home and has proved to be an inviting exploration for all my guests. Be sure to look for the hidden "N" in each painting. This book will not disappoint.

Season's of Light- Kinkade in a nutshell.
This collection of nineteen paintings, accompanied by passages from various literary pieces,is a neat little book that manages to convey an introduction to the art of Thomas Kinkaid in a compact manner. Tasteful and thorough are adequate words to describe this book. Having read several negative comment's about the author's work by art pundits and critics, I was surprised by the masterful way the paintings were done, reminiscent of the early Renaisssance palettes and early baroque chiaroscuros. I may not be an art critic (though I do have a degree in art history),but I am once again sadly confronted with how cynical and mediocre liberal academia has become. Today, if art does not shock, anger or offend you, it is summarily dismissed as inferior. But consider what makes art masterful. Michelangelo's Pieta for instance is a masterpiece, because, asides from the superb technical work done on the marble slab, it moves us to an emotional response, the pain of the mother with her dead child, the dead Christ off the cross, His death for our salvation. Art should move you, spur you to be better, to reach a higher place. That is the true value of art. Kinkaid's work, to this end excels.

Soars Like an Eagle
Kinkade's "With Wings Like Eagles" will restore a sense of pride in America to even the most hardened cynic. Biblical passages are woven with reflections on our country's history to show that our nation does indeed have a purpose in God's plan. Given what the citizens of America went through with the 2000 presidential election, it would be easy to lose heart about our political process. But just sitting a while with this book, and reflecting on the great but simple values that built this country, will rouse in the reader a sense of pride and purpose that goes beyond political partisanship and bickering. With Wings Like Eagles shows, both through its writings and Kinkade's paintings, that the greatness of America lies not only in its Constitution but on the moral fiber and values of its individual citizens.
