Peg Kehret The Winner
I like Peg Kehret The Winner. It is a good book because it is somewhat exciding. Once you pick up this book you wont want to put it down, I know I didn't. It has an intersting story about a boy who wants to be a track star. Peg Kehrets book The Winner is a very exciding story, and I would recomend it to anybody over the age of 10.

VERY GOOD BOOK... YOU CAN LEARN SOMETHING!
This book was very good! It's abotu a boy that can fly like the wind, then in an accident he becomes paralyzed. Now he likes this girl, and she has been kidnapped. He saw it happened... but the guys said that they were moving, Can he get to her in time? RECOMEND!

Great for reluctant readers.
I used this book with 5th grade reluctant readers and found them not able to put it down. Since it is easier reading than many books of 5th grade interest and it moves quickly, the kids loved it. I actually had a boy reading it going down the hall to lunch who hated reading. He kept running into the child in front of him because he was reading.

This book blows
Terror at the Zoo is a story set in Seattle about two kids who decide to sleep over at a zoo. Unfortunately, they soon discover that they have company; a burglar is also there. The book basically consists on that premise and setup leading to that. Besides being about one little episode, Terror at the Zoo is horribly written and amazed me with its corniness: at the end, the two kids escape by telepathically talking to an animal.
So, let's sum it up: one episode, badly written, stupidly corny. A great read if you have Down syndrome!

A Great Book!!!!
Peg Kehret is a great author, NOT! You should read this book if your into action books. What happened at Terror at the Zoo is a girl gets a gift to sleep over at the zoo with her little brother.Peg Kehret is a great author, NOT! You should read this book if your into action books. What happened at Terror at the Zoo is a girl gets a gift to sleep over at the zoo with her little brother. Then during the night ah... While, well, is in the zoo, he steals a, whoops I almost gave it away.
The book starts with a little excitement. It contains a real lot of action. The main character has a lot of courage. The ending is not a big surprise.
I think Peg Kehret meant the moral to be Murphy's rule. What ever can go wrong, will go wrong. You should really read this book.

Not very realistic--keep looking
I did not find this book very helpful! The sample vows and promises did not seem very realistic to me. Most of them are in dialog form, and I've never been to a wedding where the bride and groom exchange vows/promises alternating line by line with eachother. I'd keep looking if I were you, that's what I'll be doing.

A Wonderful Guide
This book was a originally a gift to me. By combining parts from the many sections, my fiancee and I were able to come up with truly individual vows that said exactly what we wanted without being overly sappy. My fiancee is an older gentleman who is very plain spoken and he had no trouble finding exactly what he wanted to say. All in all this book was a wonderful reference guide.

Extremely Helpful!
This was extremely helpful in giving me ideas on how to express my feelings when I got married two years ago. I knew what I wanted to say and it gave me enough imput to get my own thoughts together and come up with something from the heart.

Easy 2 Read
A Review by Cory

This book was fun and easy to read, almost at every time there was something important happening....You can't really lose attention to this book or you get lost fast...but its not like you would lose interest anyways.
In this book there is really nothing that I hate. I can't really talk bad about it. To a person who likes to actually read I personally think that you would not find anything wrong with this book. It has conflicts, dialogue, action, it has everything. So the least thing I can say is ENJOY.
This truly is one of very many good books!.

And yet another exciting book of Kehrets!
Wonderful intriguing book! Too many details to summarize however. 2 points off because it was too short and it was mmissing something.

Don't tell Anyone-Peg Kehret
This was a good adventure book. I think it's great for kids of all ages.

Megan is 12 years old. She finds feral cats in a field, one pregnant. One day she witnesses a fatal car crash. The other story that connects is of a man named Shane, a criminal who wants to escape. When Megan interfers with his plan he goes at lengths to get her out of the way.

This is a great book that will keep you reading to the end.

One of the better books in the series
This suspenseful book will have children of all ages on the edges of their seats. When Rosie's best friend Kayo is kidnapped, Rosie must discover a way to rescue her on her own.

An exiting thriller
An exiting book in the Frightmares series. It's about how these girls get kidnapped in the desert. It gave me goosebumps how one of the badguys was going to make Rosie walk barefoot through the cacti.

Encore! More Winning Monologs for Young Actors
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (1999)
Author: Peg Kehret
Amazon base price: $24.15
Average review score:

Not worth it.
This book's monologues are mostly nicely-written but pointless. They are easy to perform, but they give the actor no opportunity to actually do anything. Most of these monologues, I would never use for an audition. I suppose the book deserves some credit for a few very good monologues, but overall, it was a disappointment.

It was pleasant.
This book was helpful in selecting a powerful monologue. Most of the monologues in here are set for teenagers and comedic. However, there are some clever serious monologues for a young actor also.

Great Book for student actors
I bought a couple of monolog books from Amazon.com, and this one was certainly the best. It provided me a perfect selection of comedy and drama, and the pieces were not too long or to short. Though the book says for young actors, I recomend this to anyone in high school as well.

This book is okay.
I didn't really like this book. The monologs were of an unusual sort, they were really abnormal, that is, most of them were. They also were hard to "act" to. They just weren't my style.

It was o.k.
this was a pretty good book expected i expected more! it said in the add WINNING and it wasnt really the kind you act out on stage with they were the kind you express yourself or make up a little play for your friends and that is not what i expected i was very disappointed because now i have to find a new book.

Excellent
I found this book excellent for monologues. Trying out for an acting club, we used monologues from here as our cold readings. They put everyone at ease because they are so perfect for kids. Everyone got really into the monologue they were assigned. In the club, we will perform live with big puppets like they use on tv. For each of our puppets, we will use one of these monologues. They're fantastic! The kids we perform for will absolutely love the monologues!

A good book
It is not an amazing literary work, but it is fun to read, for adults as well as children. The entire series is well-written, and most deal with social issues. This gives children a way to relate to their world and form their own opinions.
