The BIG day....................
Sometimes you just get carried away.
Amy, Number Seven, is now an official teenager. But, on the morning of her birthday, she wakes up and finds out that she has matured quite a bit. The only problem is that she's matured more than she wanted to, and now looks like she's in her early twenties. So her mom takes her to a hospital, but after a few days there, with no results, she runs away. Amy finds a shelter for abused children and gets a job there. The first few days are fine, Brother James and Sister Karen, the couple who own the shelter, really care about the kids and want to help, but after the appearance of a young girl who was illegally smuggled into the U.S. everything starts to go wrong. The government wants to give the girl to her family but Brother James insists that she stays with the shelter. Can Amy find a way to solve this problem before Brother James does something drastic? Happy Birthday, Dear Amy was a great book. I recommend it to all Replica fans.
Amy's turned thirteen - and she has some real growing pains!
In just a few days, Amy Candler will be turning thirteen, and she's psyched. She's planned a huge party on the beach, and she can't wait for the day when she wakes up and will finally be a teenager. But the surprise that awaits Amy on her thirteenth birthday is anything but pleasant. Because overnight Amy has gone from twelve to twenty-five! Her mother's friend Dr. Dave, who also worked on Project Crescent, finds nothing wrong with her - but he insists that she stay in a hospital until he can reverse her overnight aging. But after a couple of days in the hospital, Amy is bored, so like the teenager she is inside, she acts impulsively - and runs away. Soon, she becomes involved with a shelter for runaways and a lost little girl that becomes the center of an international incident. And not only that, but she wonders if the "organization" may be after her once again. Will Amy EVER be herself again - or has she missed out on her teenage years for good? Read to find out. I reccomend this book to all Replica fans.

Q: What could have ruined such an interesting premise.
A: Thoughtless plagarism. And I don't mean each character which is obviously (or is that obliviously) ripped from the stereotypical world of today's TV teen. The loner, the politician's son, the nerd, the twin, and (of course) the supermodel? These characters have no more depth than these two word outlines. The plagarism I'm talking about is a paper thin retracing of a classic 1940Welles novel. Much of the novel dumps what I think is a promising premise for mindless character drivel. Instead of cleaver ideas, Marilyn Kaye has filled the book with cliches sponged out of a melodramatic mish-mash of failed romance and weak mystery novels. The plot can't stretch what few surprises it holds long enought for the characters to read like they are intelligent (or even capable) human beings. I can't tell you how many times I chided the characters for 'conveniently' forgetting about what they should know. Last On Earth is out of this world. Perhaps it should have stayed there.
Last on Earth
I liked this book. It was interesting at some parts like when they went to the hair salon and they were going to do Tiffany's hair but they left it in too long and all of her hair fell out! There were also other parts that were not so good like when they locked Cam in his room and they took 5 pages to get him out. That part was boring. I would suggest this book to a older person becouse I had trouble understanding it in some parts.
A thrilling science fiction novel.
Twenty five teenagers at an overcrowded New York City school have a basement classroom. One day, they emerge to find that everyone else in the city, and possibly the Earth, has vanished from site, leaving no clues as to where they could have gone. Now it's up to the teenagers to discover where everyone else has gone before the same fate befalls them. This was an edge-of-your seat science fiction thriller with a realistic view of what might happen if just a few teenagers and no one else was left on Earth. Unfortunatley, the last book in the series was a dissapointment.

A demon is attacking Parkside Middle School.
Amy and Tasha are in the eighth grade and have made a vow to help and even make friends with outsiders. Tasha tries to get to know Michelle Brooks, a shy girl with an amazing imagination. Amy wants to get to know Chris, who everyone thinks is a hoodlum. Tasha also tries to get to know a Megaman obsessed kid named Jerry, who immediately starts following Tasha around like a puppy. Meanwhile, all of the talented kids at school are getting their talent taken away. One minute the star quarterback is playing perfectly, the next he can barely throw it a foot. At first everyone blames the pranksters because it's what the pranksters do, but after Michelle calls Chris a demon and says he's the one stealing the talent, everyone starts to blame him. Amy decides to figure it out herself but when she hears about Chris spending time in a graveyard, and then sees him run into one, she decides to follow him and find out what's going on (watch out Scooby, Amy just might end up taking your job). And she does find out everything about Chris, but it's definitely not what she was expecting. This was a really great book and it introduced a new character, one I hope will be around in future books.
Another great book from the Replica series.
Now that Amy and Tasha are in the eighth grade, Eric - who is Tasha's brother and Amy's boyfriend - is in tenth grade, which means he goes to the high school now, instead of Parkside Middle School. It also means that he never has any time for Amy any more, and has been acting like a real jerk. This year, Amy and Tasha vow to help the outsiders. Tasha tries to befriend Michelle, a quiet, shy girl who has up until now been homeschooled. Amy wants to help Chris, a sullen boy who keeps to himself. Both girls find themselves followed by a pesky, nerdy boy named Jerry. When all the talented students at Parkside - beginning with the athletes - begin to lose what makes them special, Michelle starts a wild rumor that convinces everyone that Chris is responsible, and that he is a demon! Amy knows there must be a logical explanation - but can she solve this mystery in time? Marilyn Kaye has written another great book in the series that I reccomend to all Replica fans.
Amy Candler has no idea what she is about to face...
Everything was normal for Amy Candler and the other students in Parkside Middle School. But that was until the most gifted students started to lose their talents -- and the talented people just aren't talented anymore. Something is stealing the special qualities in the students of Parkside, and Amy, together with her friend Tasha, must dig deep into the strange, somewhat haunted mystery. And when Amy , now in the eighth grade, meets Chris -- the new loner at school who's been titled 'Demon' by the students, her world begins to slowly change. Chris is the ultimate suspect of the disappearing talents at Parkside. After all, he's so mysterious -- and haunting. Amy doesn't know if Chris is stealing the talents of everyone at the school. But the burning question is clear in Amy's mind as well as every other student at Parkside: Is there really a demon stalking the grounds of Parkside Middle School? Replica #17: Missing Pieces, although not the best, was a suspenseful and touching addition to this amazing science fiction series by Marilyn Kaye and plays an important role in the series that hints toward the near future.

ZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZz!
Okay, I love the Replica series, but I didnt really like this book. I guess the plot was okay but I just thought it was really boring!!! (sorry if I offend anyone. its just my opinion) I would still recommend this book to anyone who likes the series but I just thought it was a waste of paper, something the author put out so she had time to write another, better book. But you should still read it!
okay...
All right, I started reading the Replica series in 3rd grade and I loved them. But now I am in 8th grade and they are just not good any more. These books are ment to keep you drawn in untill you buy the whole series, but I am just to old for it. I'd reccomend these books to 3rd through 6th graders. These books are no challenge to read. I have always managed to finish them the day I buy them. Enjoy Replica while you can!
Being psychic isn't all it's cracked up to be!
Amy Candler and her friends are enjoying a birthday party on the beach when a sudden storm sends them running for cover. But before she can reach safety, Amy is struck by lightning. She wakes up in a hospital, not remembering anything since she was struck, but feeling fine. But soon Amy discovers a lingering effect. She can now read people's thoughts and see into the future. At first she finds her new gift fun. But when she begins to see unpleasant events, and is forced to tell students who asked for their futures that their dreams will not come true, she begins to wish she never gained this power. But is there any way to get rid of it? All fans of the Replica series will enjoy this book, the latest in this thrilling series. I can't wait to read the next book.

The Setting is a Synagogue
Wanted to correct previous poster. Story takes place in a synagogue, otherwise known as a temple. Not in a church. The holiday is Yom Kippur, the day of Atonement.
The Atonement of Mindy Wise
I would rate this book with an eight. This book really tells the readers how hard life can get to be. And that your life can get better just like Mindy's did. I really enjoyed this book. It was not like one of those books that tell girls problems as if they were a broken nail; they were real problems that we go through ever day. It tells you that every decision that you make daily counts. Just a couple words could make a major difference in your and others lives. This book shows how a girl who did not take the short cut to growing up. Her life is just like all the rest of ours. This book is related to a lot of books that I have read dealing with problems in life and sins. The book is told by Mindy and takes place in a church where she is repenting her sins to the Jewish god. The book is telling you all of her problems, and how she deals with them. A lot of other book that I have read do the same thing (telling they're problems) but not to a church! In this book Mindy spends all of her time trying to fit in that she forgets what she used to be like. A fun loving and caring girl. Now that she is hanging out with the popular group she is a troublemaker and a cheater. When Mindy went shopping she picked out all the stuff that her friends wanted her to get and nothing that she really wanted. And than when she gets home she realizes it and hates all of the outfits.

Cassie is Ok
This series is about 4 sisters, all quite different. This one,in case you didn't guess,is about Cassie.Cassie is pretty and popular and wants to be rich like the new friend she has made, then she finds out her friend is not happy.
Very Good Book
This is an excellent book that was not only entertaining, but can teach teenages that money is not everything, and to be happy with what they have. Cassie learns this very valuable lesson in a unique way. Marilyn Kaye is an excellent writer. I have read this book many times, and can never put it down!

AWESOME SERIES! GREAT ENDING! I LOVED IT!
The Return, the final chapter in this breathtaking phenomena by Marilyn Kaye may not be the best in the series (for me personaly it was volume 2), but it gave me wonderful closuer on all the characters and left me missing them. You know, like i actually knew them personaly. It's weird, but this book is so incredible it DOES make you feel that way. FOR THE AVERAGE AMERICAN TEEN: READ THIS SERIES! YOU'LL ABSOLUTELY ADORE IT!! I PROMISE!!!

HIV+ Teacher Causes Controversy In School
This is a good book about a boy named Kevin Delaney, who is having troubles at home since his mother left the family, and his relationship with his P.E. teacher, Mr. Logan. When the parents find out that Mr. Logan is HIV+ they want to get him fired from the school and Kevin is torn between his favorite teacher and being loyal to his hero-father who is leading the campaign to get Mr. Logan fired. This is a good book about prejudice and about realizing that no one is perfect and even heroes make mistakes

Replica #15: Transformation
Amy Candler just doesn't understand why everyone else at her school is so into Cherry Lane, a new teen soap opera. She tries to get herself hooked, but every time she watches it, the show ends up giving her a headache. Headaches wouldn't be a problem for anyone else but Amy isn't like everyone else. Amy is one of twelve girls who were genetically made to be perfect. Her mother thinks this is the reason she doesn't like the show, because she is more mature than the other students. But lately everyone has been acting weird, more responsible, and frankly, it's giving Amy the creeps. No one has been getting into trouble or fighting at school. Even Amy's best friend and boyfriend are acting weird. Amy's already has her mind made up, she is going to find out what's going on before it's too late to save her friends. This book was interesting and showed how much Amy really wants to fit in and be normal. It definitely wasn't the best in the series but it was still a good book.
Pretty good addition to the Replica series.
Even though Amy Candler is far from being an ordinary twelve-year-old girl, she's usually interested in the same fads as most other kids her age. But not lately. All that the kids at her school seem to talk about these days is Cherry Lane, a hit teen soap opera. Amy just doesn't understand why everyone likes Cherry Lane - she thinks it's an idiotic show. Amy's mother insists that Amy's superior intelligence is the only reason she's not addicted to Cherry Lane. But when the kids at Amy's school all begin to behave perfectly, Amy suspects something strange is going on - not a single student has been given detention in over a week! Amy's determined to find out the cause of the strange behavior before her friends all become permanent zombies! This wasn't one of the best Replica books, but it was interesting in a somewhat scary way, and Cherry Lane seemed like a hilarious parody of all the teen TV shows.
CHerry LAne!
This is the 15th book in the amazing Replica series! Amy Chandler cant understand why everyone likes the new teen soap opera "Cherry Lane". She thinks it is horrible and a waste of time. Her mother says that is just because she is more mature then most of the other kids her age. But something else is going on. Everybody acts like they are in drugs. Their eyes arent focused and they look like they are in a daze all the time. Amy must find out what is wrong with her friends before something happens to her! A definite must read for anyone who likes the Replica series

Another but not as great book
Replica has always been a good books, but they r starting to not be as good anymore. Chris,Amy's boyfriend, dad comes to town. He hasn't seen him 4 like 4ever. Amy starting 2 become parinoid. She is thinking almost every1 that looks like thier parents r clones and they were made as spare parts 4 the parent. I like wierd books i really do but this is starting to get almost out of hand wierd. Amy is thinking too many peeps r clones and they really do turn out to be. Marilyn Kaye's beginning replica books were just alot better. Amy is getting to worn of a char. I mean i looked at the future books and they r gonna have aliens in it. I mean when u get down to your char is going to meet aliens then it's time to stop the series of books. I also think that Marilyn Kaye needs to get her replica books to grow with Amy so she can keep her readers. I mean i have been reading replica since book 1 was published and theese books r getting to small 4 me. When amy turns her next age (i think that should be 14) she needs her books to be long and vocabulary wise 4 the the 14 year old audienes.
Great!
This book was great! It was sort of confusing at times, but it evened out in the end and everything made sense. Amy's new boyfriend has always been a mystery to her. But when Chris' father comes back in the picute and needs a bone marrow transplant, Amy is suspicious. Great addition to the Replica series and a must for any reader!
Another thrilling new book in the Replica series.
Amy's new boyfriend, Chris Skinner, can't even remember his father, who abandoned Chris and his mom when Chris was just a baby. Now, fourteen years later, Paul Skinner has returned. He claims to have reformed, and asks for a second chance at being a father. Chris is naturally reluctant to give him a chance, but Mr. Skinner really seems to want to start over again. But when he announces that he is seriously ill, and needs a bone marrow transplant, Amy suspects he has ulterior motives. After all, Mr. Skinner has a rare blood type, and as his son, Chris could be the perfect match. When Grace Morrison, one person Amy never wanted to see again, reappears, she seems genuinely disturbed by a recent organ transplant, in which dying criminal Ace Tolliver was saved by the heart of his son, a college student who died in a tragic car accident. Amy is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery, and there may be even more lives at stake. I highly recommend this latest addition to the Replica series.
