The author's approach is straightforward, without the usual sales mumbo jumbo in other books. I found his strategies for improving the odds of success very effective.
The book is a bit expensive, but after winning a couple multi-million dollar contracts that price seemed very small.
I've read many books on proposals, but this is the only one I would recommend. You won't need another book if you have this one.

This book is full of wonderful images: a proud graduate in cap and gown, a baseball team, uniformed schoolgirls, a couple posing with a classic car, a man with a dog, a young soldier in uniform, and much more. There are some particularly nice pictures of children that should appeal to contemporary kids. Together these pictures offer a moving glimpse into the lives of African-Americans in Roberts' time. Roberts had a real gift for photography, and the format of this book makes that gift accessible to young readers. Highly recommended.

The goal of the book is to teach you how to be in control of your emotional and physical well being. It deals with healing through mind/body communication. The causes of health problems can be identified. Emotional problems can be corrected by helping to change the biological conditions associated with them. Conditions related to stress are addressed. Behavior modification for children can be treated. This therapy is a great pain management tool.
This is an amazing therapy which has been proven clinically to significantly increase the healing success rate even with diseases formerly thought to be incurable. The therapy process described in this book brings hope for the hopeless. It is all encompassing and well written.

Johnson presents a highly effective methodology to aid one in finding a comfort level in such care, that is supportive yet does not allow for continued heaping of guilt, both from the self and others, including the parents.
This book is compassionate, yet permits a rational, Biblical plan to be developed, implemented, and best of all, to feel good about it. I recommend it to many I counsel with this issue, and they report back its great blessing to them.

Ms Picard is British, and assumes that the reader knows many other incidentals that American readers may not know. Half way through that book, I turned to this one instead. Perhaps because Richard Schwartz is American, his book is more accessible for "Yanks." His writing is lucid, yet this short book is crammed with fascinating details about 19th century English life. It includes such specifics as the fact that wigs were greased before being powdered, and that insects infested the wigs! There are countless other similarly specific details. For example, Schwartz is specific about what 19th century folk spent on various items, even comparing the prices of traveling by coach vs. wagon etc.
Now that I have finished reading this marvellous introduction to the era, I will go back and finish reading Picard's "Dr. Johnson's London" and will hopefully get more out of it.
