I like to collect Bailey School Kids Books and they are good. That one wasn't the worst one but wasn't the best. But the authors did a good job.

Bravo, almost
Any recorder player will enjoy and learn from this book.

I have been playing the alto recorder for a year now. This book taught me a great deal about the instrument. What's even better,
the book carefully introduces the repertory and where to find and read about it.I am delighted to learn that I will never run out of material to play.

The book is written with care, verve, and love. However, the reader is assumed to have considerable knowledge, to know without explanation, for instance, the implications of wide windways and bores, and narrow windways (p178). The history of the 20th century recorder revival, of great interest to contemporary enthusiasts, is brushed off twice, as "described and discussed in several publications." Fine, then why not this one? This should have been dealt with more carefully. The illustrations are very poorly reproduced. I am still suffering from eyestrain from trying to find the recorder in Plate 27.

Overall, though, this is a book any recorder player will want.

What I liked about The Case of the Spooky Sleepover
My name is Jack and I am a 7 year old first grader. This book is the first Jigsaw Jones mystery I have read. The mystery solver's nickname is Jigsaw. His nickname is Jigsaw because he solves mysteries like puzzles. I like the book because the mystery is cool. I like it that the kids are about the same age as me. These books are good for active readers.

dream catcher
This was a very interesting book because it had the ability to keep you focused on the objective at hand and still transform you from one setting to another in a very fluid manner. The way everything ties together is masterful. Be sure to read the two previous books before this one so you will be able to enjoy this work as it should be enjoyed.

A Well Crafted Potboiler Western
Allen Ring wins a ranch in a poker game. When he goes to claim it he finds mystery and romance against the backdrop of a festering controversy that threatens to erupt into a blood feud. With his trusty rabbit eared double barrel, a cur dog, and his wits as a gambler, he solves the mystery, defuses a range war, and wins the girl. All in all, a well crafted potboiler Western.

I'm not wild about audiobooks. I don't like having someone read to me. On the other hand, I love radio shows, both old-time radio and the modern BBC and CBC productions. When I'm on the road, there's nothing better than listening to radio shows on audiotape.

"Four Card Draw" is not a radio show, but it's not simply someone reading a story. It's an "Audio Dramatization," a sort of hybrid. You get the first person narrative of the story teller, but the dialog is dramatized with actors. Not quite as good as a radio show, but good enough to have me going back for more.

Where is the Bonhomme Richard?
The Bonhomme Richard sank in flames more than 200 years ago off Flamborough Head Yorkshire UK The wreck has never been found (not even by Clive Cussler) Ships often lie on the seabed many miles from where they were last sighted. The Thessaly sank in the 1880s off the Friesian Islands. The Royal Navy Admiralty Charts will tell you where this wreck lies and who located her. The Cap Palos was lost off Whitby Yorkshire in the 1920s. She lies at least 50 miles away. Cannons are located within 50 miles of Flamborough Head. Are they from the first ship of the US Navy

How global is advertising?
A very interesting book, written by many authors that have lots of experience in different fields/countries. It all comes down to the questions "how global or local shall we advertise?", "what are the success factors for global advertising?" and "how global are our consumers?". There is no black and white, but the book gives tons of examples, hints and suggestions about the different levels of grey, how they can lead to success or failure. Overall I can recommend the book, although it will not give you the simple answer you are looking for, simply because there is no simple answer.

JFK for a New Generation
Published in Hardcover by Southern Methodist Univ Pr (1996)
Authors: Conover Hunt-Jones, Conover Hunt, and Hugh Sidey
Amazon base price: $34.95
Used price: $14.77
Collectible price: $15.64
Average review score:

Surprisingly thorough coverage for a "coffee table" book.
Although this book is intended for the "next generation", I found it well worth reading, and was impressed with Ms. Hunt's thorough and detailed coverage of the assassination, and its aftermath, including an examination of every possible theory as to "who killed JFK". Being a large-size "coffee table" book, there are, of course, many photographs, which adds immensely to its impact. "JFK for a New Generation" is a great addition to the subject for both newcomers and oldtimers alike.
