Danger in the SunOverall, the plot of this novel was fairly easy to guess. I had most of it figured out long before Sydney did. However, that didn't stop me from enjoying it. Francie gets a much bigger part, and it's nice to see more of her. And watching Syd try to maintain her cover added another layer of excitement. Frankly, I'm also enjoying the love triangle that is building with Noah and Burke.
Like the others, this is a fast read that will appeal to fans of the TV show.
Best yet in the series.Unlike the last installments where half the book is Sydney's adjustment to college life and the next part is the mission she goes on, this book is one seamless story -- which is because it revolves around a sorority from her college and the trip to Hawaii they go on. I never pledged a sorority, never went to Hawaii, and never went skin diving; I enjoyed reading about Sydney doing all these things.
It just keeps getting better

Good, fast read
Syd's First CaseFans of Alias will love this prequel novel. Getting a look at Sydney in training is a completely different perspective on the character, yet it fits in line with the show. Meeting Noah and learn more about his history with Sydney is an added bonus. My main complaint is that this book seems a little too straight forward. I love the twists on the TV show and was hoping more of that would appear here.
This novel is a fast read that will keep the reader turning pages. While it will have limited appeal to non-fans, fans of the series will love getting a bit of the back story on their favorite spy.

Nice pictures, but a waste of time
Beautiful Pictures
Absolutely Wonderful! The author does an excellent job of sweeping you into the vast Roman Empire that had reined supreme for many years. From Alexander the Great, to the his successors of Ptolemys', Cleopatras' and Berenices', we take a brief but intimate look into their lives. The morally corrupt family that they were, reining high for many generations over this strange and exotic land.
Interesting as it is, Cleopatra was not actually Egyptian. Although depicted in many ancient drawings as a pharaoh, she was actually of Roman-Greek descent. Her rein to the throne was given to her through succession and birth.
Facts do not always play a key role in this book, as information is not always on hand. The author tends to insert information from her own imagination when she sees fit to do so. I had no problem with this, as she makes it clear that those are her own suppositions. This book reads out like a good fiction novel.
Towards the end of the book, we travel with the teams who made some of this research possible. There are many beautiful pictures throughout. This makes a great coffee table book. I think this is a great addition to any library, and for anyone to sit down and enjoy!

This is a wonderful book, one that will please readers that know nothing about the subject, and those that know a lot. I am very glad that I was able to get ahold of it, and highly recommend it to you!
