All about Ethnobotany
This book is a great compilation from leading ethnobotanists, describing the field, and bringing pertinent issues to the fore. It is an excellent collection, with well-renowned ethnobotanists like Plotkin, Balick, and Naranjo. It is an excellent source, and tells all about ethnobotany, the science that may preserve human existence now, and in the future.

Interesting, informative and important. A must read book.
I loved this book. A very readable journey through the court case which arose out of Colorado's anti-gay initiative, supported by a clear and descriptive primer on the larger gay rights movement. The pacing was crisp, the writing clear and the story told in a compelling fashion. I highly recommend this book.

Fascinating insights on a major constitutional case
Suzanne Goldberg, the Lambda Legal Defense Fund attorney who worked on Romer v. Evans, and Lisa Keen, the Washington Blade journalist who won an award from the A.B.A. for her news coverage of the case, have collaborated on a truly fascinating "inside baseball" account of the litigation. Particulary useful: their detailed description of the expert testimony offered to the trial court on the issue of "suspect classification" for sexual orientation discrimination analysis. This is a must read for lawyers and legal scholars interested in Romer and gay rights generally.

A thorough review of the first ten years of the tour.
My complaint is the retail price, but the book does provide a nice overview of various Tour stops and has a summary of champions of each ATP Tour stop. It also has profiles on some of the best players on the ATP Tour the last 10 years. [amt.] U.S/[amt.] Canadian is much too expensive in my opinion for a book of that size. I paid much less for the Encyclopaedia of Tennis by Bud Collins.

Awesome! Pictures of all the tournaments of the 1991 Season
I bought this book with low expectations, but you just get carried awway about all the tournaments during the year. You can see Agassi, Courier, Sampras, Mac, Boris, Edberg, Lendel, and even Sergio Brugera come alive in this book. I became a loyal ATP fan after reading this.

Excellent source of information on plant hallucinogens
This book is a very extensive source of information about plant hallucinogens. It gives historical backgrounds on the plants used as hallucinogens. It also gives very extensive informaton about the molecules that are responsible for their hallucinogenic activity. It covers the molecular structures and their abundance in the plant sources. There is also information about how the plants are used as ethnobotanicals. I would suggest obtaining this book to anyone interested in ethnobotanicals.

Influences on decision treatments are all surveyed
For a hundred years surgeons have believed every last cancer cell must be removed to cure the disease, yet scientific research may point to other ways of curing cancer. The Cancer Breakthrough You've Never Heard Of makes a case for conservative surgery and treatments, explaining terms for lay readers and explaining second opinions from advocates of limited surgery. Influences on decision treatments are all surveyed.

Not Christmas without this story
When she was in the third grade my older sister bought a little book of christmas stories with the nickles she had saved by not having milk at break time. "Christmas Every Day" is our favorite story from this carefully preserved little book. Our mother still reads "Christmas Every Day" every year for her grandchildren. Though we are all grown we still enjoy the story too. Even my oldest sister's hyper-active 7 year old sit's quietly for his grandma's reading of "Christmas Every Day."

It was a great relief for me to find that Amazon.com had "Christmas Every Day" because the little book my sister brought home in the early 1960's is quickly becoming too fragile to handle. Thanks Amazon.com, someday I hope to read "Christmas Every Day" to my grandchildren.

Makes being a computer technician fun!
Mark Minasi wrote the book, The Complete PC Upgrade and Maintenance Guide and it was a proven winner. Now we have the perfect addition to that book and hands-on lab manual that makes learning easier and fun and will help even the most experienced technician.

The manual includes 41 labs that have you working on memory, hard and floppy drives, modems, irq conflicts, troubleshooting, upgrading and everything in between. Also included are lab reports, which will help you, track your progress along the way.

The appendix included covers the four essential upgrades, the power supply, the hard drive, the floppy drive and the scsi card. Missing from this book is a cd-rom with utilities and questions. Also the book should have been tailored around the A+ Certification.

Overall a good value for the money and the authors are very complete and thorough in the lab they give you. As with any lab manual there is only so many ways to do things, you can substitute your own problems for those in the book if you need to. A handy book for computer schools as well.

Davis Cup
A great book and a fine review of the Davis Cup and its history. Several timeless photographs and interesting accounts of the ties as they were played. Any fan of the Davis Cup should own this book. If you have been to or watched the ties you will enjoy the memories. If you have not you will enjoy understanding the history and why the Davis Cup should become one of the most important championships in sport.
