The Case of the Fiddle Playing Fox
All of John's books are funny and cute. In this book a foxhypnotizes the chickens and makes them dance on the floor. While hedoes that he sneaks over and eats the eggs. The next day Sally May is mad because she did not get her 12 eggs. You should read this book sometime and find out what else happens. END

Fabulous fiddling fox causes Hank problems
As usual, Hank is up against an unusual problem. The fox is in the hen house, but he's been INVITED!! The rooster, Drover and Hank are all suspicious about music in the night, but no one seems to be able to stay awake to find out what it is...

I thought that this was a wonderful book. Actually, we heard it on tape, which is many times better than the book form. The author gives each character their own voice and personalities, and sings his songs as they are meant to be heard. These tapes are great for long car rides, rainy days, and just about any other kind of day in between. I HIGHLY recommend these children AND adults.

The best book I read is Hank the cowdog!
One of my favorite books I have read in the past year was Hank the Cowdog by John R.Erickson. It is A marvelous book about Hank tries to fall in love with another dog he met. One of the major reasons I in joyed this book is because Hank and Drover stays ahead of the ranch security so nothing wouldn't happen to the farm or the chickens, but they decide that its time for A break from the ranch security. Another reason I found in the book to be so wonderful Hank and Drover goes out into the woods and they see four yellow eyes in the dark it was Rip and Snort. They were brothers but Rip and Snort didn't remember Hank and Drover, but Hank told them about the pit where they had parties and got drunk. Then Snort and Rip mumbled about it. Then they thought they would go we eat Hunk later and Drover for snacks then Hank said member what I told you about that don't eat friends that is bad manners. Then snort said, "Oh," but Drover ran off. when Rip seen the silage pit he ran but not snort; he stayed behind Hank. Then Hank said, "That was my chance to escape." To conclude Hank the Cowdog by John R.Erickson was truly my favorite book

Hank the Cowdog 36

Hank might lose his job to a dog who comes on the ranch!
This is a great and heartwarming addition to the "Hank the Cowdog" series. Along with tons of hillarious gags, this is one of Hank's best!

Delightful
What's better than a Hank the Cowdog book? Listening to theaudio cassettes, of course! The author himself does all the voices, and as usual, he brings the characters to life. In this adventure, Hank, Drover and Little Alfred must track and save Eddie the Raccoon from mysterious black-hooded hangmans in a haunted house. And if that isn't enough adventure for one day, Hank then has to save everyone from the neighbor's bull. Sure to please children of all ages and their parents, too.

The best Hank yet???
I have purchased approximately 12-14 Hank the Cowdog Audio Tapes/CDs for...ahem...the kids. Yeah, totally for the kids. Anyway, this one is my favorite. If you are considering any Hank Audio Books, this should be your first.

We hear of Hank and Drover's adventures battling the terrible green Charlie Monsters and what happens when they come face to face with the most dreadful of realities...trapped in Sally May's KITCHEN.

All the Hank audio books have classic lines that our family is often repeating (while laughing hysterically), but this one has some of the best:
"I don't want to be a cat"
"You STOLE my BACON!"
"That will be 15 Shame-On-You's Drover"
etc.

Buy it...you'll thank me!

Sheila McCarn
We have listened to this audio book several times. The first time we heard it was driving in the car and I had to pull over because I was laughing so hard I was afraid we'd have a wreck. Hank is not just for kids.

precious memories
Heart-warming memoir by an old-style Texas Fiddler and Cowboy. The reader can count on some candid remembrances of life on the road with Bob Wills. Excellent book; but if you're Old School Texas, as this South Texan reviewer is, be prepared to sigh every time you turn a page. They just don't make'em like Mr.McWhorter anymore, and we are all the poorer for it...
