This is probly one of the best books I've ever read. It's about a girl named Katherine (kit) who is sick of doing chours. She longs for adventure and finds it when she sees a patriot named Will, about to get cornnered by the loyalist officers. She beconds him to the house and hides him till the soilders disappear. When he finally leaves she knows they must meet again. She soon gets involved with the band of patriots Will is leader of. The thing is they think she's a man. This book is filled with romance and adventure, a must read!!!!!!!!!

a wonderful book!
I love the Hearts & Dreams series. I've read everyone. Thefirst one I read was Charlotte and I loved it! It's still my favoritebut Katherine is my second. It was a wonderful beginning to the whole series and Cameron Dokey is brilliant. I recommend this book along with all the other books in the seried and Hindenburg 1937 (I havn't gotten around to the Washington Avalanche book but I'm sure it'll be great because Cameron Dokey wrote it.)

Absolutely Marvelous Writing!
"Katherine: Heart of Freedom" is one of the best books I have ever read. It is the only one in the series I've read so far, but I'm going to get the others as soon as I can! I'm not going to write anything about "Katherine" - except to say that it's great- because if I do, I know I'll spoil the ending! I recomend this book to anyone! Happy reading!!

Good romantic thriller.
Chance Davies wanted to marry Sarah Anderson for just one reason: she was the sole heir to her father's vast estate, an estate that would provide Chance with the wealth and prestige he never had because he was the son of a Yankee in South Carolina on the eve of the Civil War. But a jealous former lover, angry over Chance's abandonment of her, curses him, turning him to stone. Not even Sarah's love for him can stop the curse. In the present day, seventeen-year-old Kathleen leaves her Seattle home to move with her family to the Anderson estate. Although suspicious of the oddly human statue in the garden and the mysertious secret admirer who sends her letters and gifts, Kathleen dismisses rumors that the houes is cursed as little more than fairly tales. Little does Kathleen know that she is the only one who can break the curse and save Chance from eternal torment. But the one who cursed him, given eternal youth and beauty because of her worship of darkness, will do anything to stop Kathleen from freeing Chance, and time is running out. I thought this was a very good romantic suspense novel, and I really enjoyed the ending, which certainly proved that what goes around comes around!

Blue Moon
I fell in love with the characters! Everything they went through I went through. I lost the book and it's been years since I've read it but my love for the characters and the writers words haven't faded from my mind, or my heart! I would recomend this book to any one with a romantic heart and a love for happy endings!

Can't remember the first thing about it, but...
I read this one, like, four years ago or something, and I can't remember for the life of me what happened, but I do remember that *Blue Moon* rocked. Don't ask me how, maybe it was the guy. His name was Chance. I think. All in all, this one's up there among the great teen romances that actually got my grudging respect. I also remember that I really respected Kathleen, the heroine, or whatever her name was. She was brave. I think. :)

Charlotte: Heart of Hope (Hearts and Dreams , No 2)

A wonderful continuation of the Hearts and Dreams saga.
Teenage Charlotte Campbell was happy enough living on the Indiana frontier, in spite of her family's simple, meager lifestyle. But it's 1814, and war is raging. Fearing for their daughter's safety, Charlotte's parents send her east to stay with her aunt and uncle in Baltimore. But Charlotte isn't safe there, either. Not only are British ships threatening the city, but her uncle's mysterious midnight meetings begin to lead Charlotte to believe there may be a traitor in her own family. This book had pretty much everything in it: mystery, suspense, action, and of course, romance (Charlotte falls in love with Matthew, the grandson of Katherine, the main character in book one). I highly reccomend this series if you are able to find it, and you enjoy historical romances.

Great Book! I really recommend it!
I recently checked out this book in the library. I had never heard of the series, but I figured I would give it a try. Well I am so glad I did because I absoulutly feel in love with it. This book is definitely one of my favorite books I've ever read. I can't wait to read the other ones in the series. READ IT!

A Wonderous Book!

Carrie: Heart of Courage

An Awesome Book!
This book is really great! I've read all 4 of the books, and this is my favorite. It's about this shy girl,Carrie, who's always scared, sort of like chuckie on the rugrats. She meets this guy, and really likes him. His name is John Stapleton. All of Carrie's family is brave, her mom snuck on a boat, and followed the gold rush, just for the man she loved. This guy, John Stapleton, cares about other people, like the poor. But Carrie's friend, Jessica, who is VERY pretty, also likes John. This is the story of how carrie finds out who she is, and the story tells her life, and what happened to Carrie...
A great book, you have to read it!

Amid the Chicago Fire, a girl discovers strength within her.
Timid sixteen-year-old Carrie Kelly feels as though she lives in the shadows of her brave, independent, and courageous ancestors. She knows she'll never be as brave as her mother Stephanie, who found her true love after travelling to California during the Gold Rush. Carrie does fall in love, with handsome John Stapleton. But when Carrie's outgoing friend Jessica falls for John as well, Carrie knows she doesn't have a chance with him. But when the devestating fire of 1871 rages across Chicago, Carrie is separated from her parents. If she is going to survive and find her family again, she must reach within herself to find untapped depths of courage and strength that she never knew she had. Althought I wish that the Hearts and Dreams series could have continued beyond this book, I have no complaits about the book itself. It showed that you never know your own strength until you are tested, as evident in Carrie. I highly reccomend this to teens who like historical romances.

One of the best books i've ever read!
This was the best book! I've read it three times and the ending six! Carrie is the type of person who I would want to be, yet she struggles to find herself and to live up to her family name. Yet, through her path to self discovery, she realizes she hasn't lost the love she thought that she had.

The best book I have ever read!!
This is the best book I have ever read. When I finished it I was kind of sad, because I wanted to know what happened but I didn't want the book to be done. I think it was a great storie. And at times I get carried away when I read and this one I really got in to. When I read I feel like the character sometimes and a lot of the time wish I could be the character. Any way this is a great book. And I reccommend it to everyone.

Another cool book by Cameron Dokey.
Cameron Dokey is one of my favorite authors. Although this was not her best book, it was still excellant. Kristin is a teenaged girl grieving over her twin sister's death. Death, watching over the cemetary, sees Kristin mourning at her sister's grave. He falls in love with her and takes the form of a teenaged boy so he can be close to her, and make her love him. I thought the ending was extremely sad, but it was the right one.

Wonderful
Ever since this book was first published, it became one of my favorite teen romance books. I will never forget it. Perfect. Read the book and you will find out.

A Delightful and Enchanting book!
I loved this book! :) I couldn't put it down! It was a great book with four romance love stories. They were all excellent. I really liked the fact that it included stories from the guy's point of view and not just from the girls. Everyone had made New Year's resolutions and they were all trying to follow them. I think that my favorite story was about Karina who always wanted to study and that was what all her New Year's resolutions were about, but her best friend Navajoa convinces her to have a good time. Karina falls for Borg(literally!), a hockey player. It's a really good book and i recommend it to everyone who likes romances and has a New Year's resolution for love!

A Beautiful Book That Would Make a Great Movie!
This a classic ill-fated love story, which is based upon the events of the German airship the Hindenburg. It involves a love-triangle between a beautiful young German girl, Anna Becker, who flees her home in Frankfurt, Germany to escape her Nazi brother, Kurt and his wishes for her to live a life of no freedom and marry someone she does not love after her grandfather dies and the household becomes Kurt's ; Karl Mueller, the man she loved once who still holds on to her heart even though he broke it and left her without an explaination; and Erik Peterson, a mysterious, handsome green-eyed man who helps her board the Hindenburg and captures her heart. Yet when all of everyone's secrets come out, who will receive the love and trust of Anna? To find out, read this beautifully written book that will make you shout with joy and leave you in tears! Wouldn't this book make a great movie? I loved it and I hope you do!

MUST READ
The book Hindenburg 1937 is a well written emotionaly effecting love story that takes place during the tramatizing time of WW2. The book is about a young German girl who is living with her grandfather. He dies with his hands on a pair of ticketts to board the Hindenburg in his hands. She is sure that this means she is to board the Hindenburg and leave Germany for America but her brother won't have it. So she escapes and boards. A girl unescorted and looked for is not safe. So she simply walks up to someone and says "Hi, I've been looking all over for you". Luckly it works and everything is going well until she sees her X-long time boyfriend on the ship who is now a nazie spy. And no matter how much he hurt her she still loves him. A love story, complicated mysterie, and more aries. I cannot even express how wonderfful this book is. WARNING: Be prepared to cry after I finished reading it I cried for and hour. MUST READ MUST READ

An Exciting Love Story
I loved this book. I just read it for the second time recently and I am surprised and amazed every time. If you like history mixed with romance you will love this book. It says so much in so few pages. The ending was a tear jerker once again and I found that I cried just as much the second time than I did the first. It is a great book and I would recommend anyone read it! It is a classic to me!

Dance of Death (Fear Street Sagas, No. 8)

Authors: Cameron Dokey and R. L. Stine

Intelligent monster book
Dance of Death splits it's story 2 ways - there is the one set later in the century of the 1700's, and one set back a wee while when the characters first come about. This is an excellent idea and is used very well. We get to know the true nature of the characters, their motives and their ideas better. And it is all encapturing in its story, usually with these sorts of books, it's just like there is one great story you wanna keep reading, and the other one is really dragging on and you don't want to read it but you have to so you understand the ending. All the stories in this book are interesting, fun and really intelligent, so you are never bored. R.L. Stine uses descriptive language and good puncuation. If there was one flaw in this book, its that it may kind of leer itself off into the land of the ridiculous occassionally, but not very often. A great Fear Street read!

Great Book!!!
This story is very interesting as it has a very good line. It explains the history of how Justin Fear became very powerful and those who knew him had tried to destroy him. Until Madeline a young and beautiful woman, had shifted to Shadowbrook met him and fell in love with his unnatural look and was warned by an old woman and a ghost to leave right away before it's too late. The ending was really good...and I loved it. Keep up the good work R.L.Stine....and keep writing.

a really really good book!!!
