critique of pee wee scouts, pedal power
Im reading the book Pee Wee Scouts,Pedal Power by Judy Delton,it is a realistic -fiction book.I was reading the book and it wasn't that interesting at first but then it started geting queer.I highly reccomend this book to readers because its funny but kind of simple. This book is mostly about some scouts helping, doing,or saving people, but it gets monotonous some times. I'm enjoying this book because its about theese scouts savig people and its fantastic for me because it tells people from good and bad. And there wasn't nothig that I disliked.

Great book for teaching saftey and the importance of rules.
My 7 year old loved this book and the others we have read in this series. He can relate to many of the characters and likes that the kids which all have different interests can still play together even if they don't always agree. We used this book as a group bedtime story for my 3 kids: 3, 5, & 7 and it held all of their attention while provoking questions about saftey that we could talk about. We loved it!

A wonderful valentine's story!
I read this book when I was in fourth grade and I still adore this book. We all had "puppy love" crushes and the petite scouts in this story our not contrary. All the Valentnes send all the delightful PeeWee's guessing who sent them the heart shaped card. You and your childeren will enjoy yet another of the peewee stories thoroughly!

Encouraging advice for struggling writers
Next to public speaking, I hear students tell me most often how how difficult writing is for them. But it is not only students who struggle with writing. Often doctors, college professors, and CEO's have a hard time communicating clearly as well. This little gem of a book is for those who have practical hurdles that fall outside of the scope of grammar and style questions. The authors give good advice to start writing and especially worthwhile suggestions about focusing one's writing efforts. It is a small book and the short chapters make it quite easy to read. I would recommend this to any high school, college level writers. I am presenting some of these ideas in an English as a Foreign Language composition class for Japanese students. The book addresses more of the attitudes of the stalled, hesitant, or fearful writer and presents 29 mistakes with very good insights that other writing books overlook.

A book perfectly meant for young readers.
I read ''Angel in Charge'' to my 7 year old sister. She thought it was okay,I guess. It wasn't the best book I ever read, but for a young age group, well I guess it's okay for them.Since it DOESN'T have hard words or a complicated plot it would be a good chapter book for 9 year olds and up to start reading by themselves.

How will they sell the old condo?
Daisy's parents wanted to sell the old condo because there were lots of friends and relatives coming to visit Daisy, the main character, and her parents. Daisy's parents find a beautiful new place to live. It's better than the old condo because it has more rooms than they expected. But there was a problem. They had to sell the old condo first. They had to make the old condo look new. I recommend this book because it tells how tiring it is to sell a house and buy a new one. It is an exciting, want-to-keep reading book. Buy it to find out if someone buys the old condo.

This book shows how a child can be frightened of older people but also how they can learn to understand them. Jason and his mom are visiting Jason's grandmother in the home, with each visit we see Jason be come more confortable wit the residents in the home and how he befriends them, brightening their days as well as grandma's. The illustrations are charming and capture the apprehensiveness of young Jason in his first visits to the home. They later depict the happiness of him and the residents at his visits.

Fun in the Sun
This is #29 in the popular Pee Wee Scouts series. School has just let out for the summer and all the Pee Wees are looking forward to having fun. At their first meeting during vacation their leader, Miss Peters, announces to the delight of nearly everyone, that the Scouts will be attempting to earn a swimming badge over the summer. Molly, afraid to get even her head wet, is panicked, too embarrassed to tell even her best friend Mary Beth. Soon her excuses for staying out of the water wear thin, and when she at last confesses her inability to swim, the other children react sympathetically and find ways to help. When testing time comes at wheelchair-bound Jody's new pool, Molly conquers her fear, earns her badge, and afterward confesses all to her parents. The fast-moving plot is ideal for early readers. Simple pen and ink illustrations add a nice touch.

Rabbit Finds a Way
Expectations abound in this easy to read Delton story as Rabbit quests for carrot cake. This animal fantasy tells the story of Rabbit's journey to his friend Bear's house who "always bakes carrot cake on Saturday". In a fast moving plot, Rabbit meets a few of his friends along the way. Each encounter poses a different dilemma for Rabbit as he hurriedly tries to get to Bear's house. Lasker illustrates these scenes in an easily understandable manner which harmonizes well with the simple, repetitive text. Hopes are lost when Rabbit finally gets to Bear's house as he is "just waking up". As the title reveals, in the end, Rabbit surprisingly finds his way to some mouth watering carrot cake. Ending the story with "..." allows the reader to predict what they think would happen and compare it with the final illustration. The simple, yet stimulating plot along with the supportive illustrations, easily decodable text and delightful characters will certainly grasp and hold the attention of a beginning reader.

Spring is right around the corner!
A good book with nice colorful illustrations. Duck is gloomy - he hates winter. His two friends, Squirrel and Rabbit set out to cheer him up, but everything they try turns out wrong! A nice book about the seasons - the fun things about winter and the signs of spring. Also, the plight of the three characters and their constant mishaps will keep little kids laughing. It's worth looking for!

THE GOLDEN RULE
What a lovely book about being neighborly. "Love your neighbor as yourself"( quote from my best friend ). Bear isn't too thrilled about having a new neighbor until ..... This story introduces the canning method of food storage and, of course, gardneing.THREE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A CROWD. In fact I know a Threesome that is heavenly ! FYI This is my personal copy from my childhood. The illustrator has a lot of published books as well.
