A Neat Little Holiday Story
Merry, Merry Huckleberry is a simple little story, but, being so, is perfect for third, fourth, or fifth graders at the holiday season. I'm sorry to see that it's out of print (the single copy I own is VERY worn). Despite it's simplicity, there is a lot of character development and opportunities to explore literary devises at an elementary level. But most of all, it's basically an up-beat tale that most 8-, 9-, 10-year olds can easily relate to--who doesn't wish for a "snow day" once winter sets in?

Excellent And Full Of Excitement
This book is full of excitement. All in the Pee Wee Scouts town people are running for Mayor and other stuff like that, so Mrs.Peters decides to create PeeWeeVille and everyone has run for Mayor, school supertendent, dog catcher, and police chief. Molly decides to run for Mayor and so does Tim and Roger. Moly is sure she'll win but roger gives away free candy for whoever votes for him. Molly and Mary-Beth have to think of another way besides signs to have Molly win. So Molly and Mary-Beth go down in Molly's basement and get washable paint, well atleats they think it's washable. They write Molly For Mayor on Mollys house. When Mlly's parents got home they were very mad. They had to repaint the whole house! SO the next day it's voting day. WHo wins. Read the book to find out. It's really exciteing and excellent.

My Mom Hates Me In January
I have read this very enjoyable book to young children in elementary school for the past fifteen years. It's a great book to read during the month of January.
This is a mother and son book and all the things mother could do with her son during this long winter month. But of course mother is too busy or does she just hate January? I always ask the children whether mother really hates them and of course they know she loves them very much.
This delightful book by Judy Delton is a fun book to read in January. She writes many interesting books, but this is one of my favorites.

This book was wonderful!
When Molly Duff, the rest of Troop 23, and there parents heard that they were going to Atlanta, Georgia for the Pee Wee Jubilee for the weekend, they were ecstatic! (Except Sonny who was scared out of his mind!) But then Molly's parents found out they can't make it because they have to go to a wedding. So it is arranged that Molly should go with her best friend Mary Beth and her parents. Molly is nervous and scared. And even more when she finds out that Troop 23 is flying! Flying in an airplane to a foreign state two days without her parents, and with hundreds of other Pee Wee Scout troops, can Molly handle it all?

Molly adopts lots of pets and can't find homes for them. She is having trouble taking care of them because there are so many. If you like animals you will love this book.

FUNNY!
This Pee Wee Scout book was funny. The Pee Wees are entering a contest to win a trip to Camp Blast Off, a really cool summer camp where kids learn what it's like to be an astronaut. Everyone wants to go, but only one scout from each troop across the country can go. Whoever creates the best project about about space travel and the solar system wins. Everyone's working their best. Molly and Mary Beth thinks they can go to space! LOL They built a rocket and tried to fly into space. They can't. At the meeting, when they try again, everyone starts laughing. Molly finds out from her dad her and Mary Beth can't go to space. Jody wins the prize and Molly and Mary Beth get awarded on their wild imaginations.

Winnie the Pooh's Book of Manners
I really thought this book is aborable. Not only me but more importantly our kids. As wonderfully cute as the Winnie the Pooh characters are, the book lends itself to the same. The simple everyday life of Pooh and his friends leads them into everyday situations that cause us to use are manners. I, we recommend this book highly.
