Nice alternative to lift -the- flap books
This sturdy cardboard pull tab book is a great alternative for a baby to interact with the book. Tired of the lift the flap type books? This has six double sided pull tabs that make different characters (birds, bunny, sun, fish, snail, etc) appear from behind various parts of the landscape. The great thing about this book is that you can play peekaboo with your baby and "sneak peeks" with the characters. The bright sunny faces on these pictures are always a win with babies. My knows-what-she-likes 10 month old picked out this book even though it is stated as for 18 month olds. She can't pull the tabs herself yet, but she tries (and gets frustrated). She still enjoys the rhymes and the pictures. I think it will grow with her over time.

Working Parents Help Book
This book was very enjoyable with many good tips. Many of the ideas and suggestions are helpful for all parents, not just those who are working. The book is easy to read and broken into short quick-to-read sections.

A good buy for parents struggling with how to become better parents.

Excellent, but a bit outdated.
This is a wonderful preview to The Coming Last Days Temple. You need to be prepared to work a little for the knowlege, but overall very informative.

Only if you want chat about trading
The book is really like a chat, it doesn't bring anything deep. It almost don't bring any chart or any new technical analysis, and even their system suggestion is week. For instance, when they explain how to use volume to pick a stock, they even doesn't show a volume chart.
What makes the book more frustating is the way it's written, one may feels that it's missing something or the author is hidden something. Moreover they put some stupid dialogs to ilustrate some situations...

The book really lacks substance!

Thus, buy this book only if you want waste your money and doesn't have anything better to read.

Good usable stuff!!
Just finished the book and was very happy with the content. I enjoy trading books in general, but when I can pull one or two money making ideas out of a book, all the better. Ken Wolff posts for RealMoney.Com, and gives great ideas to his readers. The book elaborates on many of his methods like playing momentum both on the upside and the downside with a lot of clarity. More than that, he gives great pointers on keeping a journal of trades, measuring moves of stocks and watching the market..

The bottom line of successful Day-Trading in a box
A little history goes with my review, inthat Mr. Wolff also runs a trading room, (MTrader), which I traded in about a year after I began trading. After a short stay at MTrader, I left, simply because I believed that adhering to the patterned strategies of Wolff were a bit too involved and things had to be simpler and faster. That was a mistake and after about a year of alternating trading styles, different strategies, indicators, software, etc., I happened on Wolff's book and out of curiosity, ordered and read it.

Plainly stated, what moves stocks is news about what a stock has just done, is about to do or is expected to do and the relative expectations of the investors and traders focusing on that stock. Wolff has studied news related momentum for years and is what I would securely describe as a master of expectation and price movement potential. There are a number of successful traders out there who cut their teeth on his schooling...a few went on to try there own trade site.

The methods are plainly and simply explained and in themselves, not difficult. Perhaps because of this truth, others may dismiss it, however, if you read this book and think about it, you come to one glaring fact...and that is Mr. Wolff explains momentum trading methods that are based on logic of predictable reaction to news related momentum....there are no lagging indicators...complicated formulas...just logic.

The difficulty is the patience and discipline one needs to apply in adhering to and application of the information.

One more thing...I'm trading at MTrader again because with everything else I've tried and I believe I've tried about everything...I found no consistency...I was either burning-hot....or stumbling. Here, I have found consistency that anticipates what a stock will do based on it's news and the market/sector sentiment at that moment.

Highly recommend this read. I hesitate to state this, but would also suggest after reading the book, you try a week trial at the site to see what you read happening...it would be helpful. Or I suppose if you want to save some money, drop by the site for the trial, (it's free) and decide before you buy if it allmakes some sense to you...

Good Trading!

The Weintraub Day-Trader: Self-Teaching Day Trading Technical System for Predicting Tomorrow's Prices and Profits

Subpar
I realize this book was written in 1986 before the advent of computerized charting.. thus the only reason it wasn't a 1 star. Weintraub magically calculates the pivot, R1, R2, S1, S2 numbers without ever mentioning that they were floor pivots and seemingly takes credit for their value. He then uses a moving average based on average price on 20 min bars for "Day 1" , and then a continued moving average for "Day 1 + Day 2". When Day 1 approaches or crosses Day 2's MA .. then you look to trade. This is where it becomes vague, as you are somehow supposed to determine market direction from these lines and their relation to the floor pivot levels. Sure, somebody might find this useful and figure out some patterns.. but this is going to be useless trading information for most.

Interesting
I know Neal Weintraub. I took one of his classes at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. I used to be on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade and have now become a professional trader off the floor. Daytrading can be a killer for most people because it increases the opportunities. If your doing something you shouldn't be doing you'll lose money a lot faster daytrading. If your following all the rules then daytrading can definitely help you increase your profits. It takes a lot of discipline. I would reccomend reading Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom to understand about exits and position sizing. Most people concentrate on entry which is wrong. I can make money flipping a coin and being right half the time. I play a trend following system which makes me wrong more often than not but when I'm right--It pays for all the losses and makes for some real big gains. This book may open your mind to some new ideas and I reccomend it.

I hope it will be as good as his first book!
I worked for the exchanges in Chicago and worked on the trading floor before I started trading, and let me tell you what an invaluable experience it was. I learned how the exchanges work from the inside out, and saw many traders lose everything, as well as make big money. I had the opportunity to watch all types of traders, and take tips from what they did right and what they did wrong. And that worked for me. Interesting that the previous reviewer stated that this book wasn't worth getting - considering it isn't even in print yet! Just because Mr. Weintraub's techniques, from his other books, didn't work for him, this person thinks that he has the inalienable right to put him down. That's pretty childish and immature if you ask me. Spend more time on your trading techniques instead of trashing people on the internet and you might be a winning trader instead of a losing trader.

Very disappointing
This book is terrible. In the first three chapters, they emphasize "plan twice but develop once" as an approach for DB development, which is good. Unfortunately, they don't seem to follow their own advice. The authors walk you through examples on a provided CD, but the instructions don't even match what's on the CD. Also, days 1 and 2 were completely OMITTED on my CD. This is my first and last SAMS book.

Has potential
While this book *teaches* very well, it has a number of small printing mistakes and mislabels which could be confusing to those not following along very closely. I recommend it if you're willing to work with it.

Basics were OK, Forget the VBScript Section
All in all it was decent. The first 14 chapters were fine. The two chapters on Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) were fair at best. The Chapter on Objects and Collections should not have been there. I actually went out and got another book for these topics. They had a nice little section on DAO in the end however it was coarse. Keep in mind, the VBA sections were not very good at all. I question why they even put VBA in a entry level book.

For the user who want to get more out of Access 2002 or the user who wants to prepare for a MOUS certification, this book is fine. Keep in mind it is not Microsoft MOUS Official Cirriculum so the Certification Objectives are not identified in the text.

SAMS Publishing drops the ball once again in the editing area. Please note that you will have to go to the website to get the Chapter 2 exercises. The omission of the Chapter Two files can almost be forgiven due to the fact that the files are small in size and easily downloadable.

I have about 5-6 of their books and they are all buggy, lots of typographical errors. This one falls about average for SAMS in that area, not their worst, not their best. I would have given 4 stars if they didn't have so may typos, otherwise the non-VBA content was good.
