grateful
Since diagnosed with bipolar disorder, I've read many books concerning this disease. This book was extremely helpful in getting me to understand my condition and it showed me a few preventive techniques that have worked. I am not cured, but Ido believe that this book has helped me in a way that no other book has, and for that I am grateful.

The magic of a birthday party in a book!
My daughter loved this book!

When Danny leaves his friend Sue's birthday party, he doesn't stop celebrating. "Happy to you," he says to everyone and everything he sees. This joyful book, with exquisite illustrations, really expresses what "toddlerhood" is all about.

pragmatic approach to child raising.
I read this book in 1971, just prior to my fiirst child's birth. I read many child psychology books prior to this one, but this one strcuk me as the most down to earth. Dr. Salk's approach made the most sense. I have recommended this book to every new mother that I have met. I am trying to buy more copies of this out of print book so I can give one to each of my children . My wife and I want to enjoy our grandchildren RJD .

Extraordinary Insight
Homework is a fact of life for children. This common-sense approach to making sense out of the nightly "battle" is a must have for any parent. Bonus: Kids will do their homework. Parents do not have to fight the "battles." and kids do better in school.
Inspired. Easy to understand. I heartily recommend this to all young parents. Even those in Turkey. (Would you believe you can get this in translation?! As if they don't have other things on their minds.

Miles and Maddie will never marry--HA! HA! HA!
Yes, Miles and Maddie both said they would never fall in love and marry. Then they met one another. He had met her in Australia at a social and went back to London. He kept thinking about her and had to go back to Australia to get her off his mind. Maddie wanted a baby desparately. She saw the perfect genes in Miles. He had looks, intelligence, etc, etc, whatever it took to make a perfect baby. She was going to have the baby and not tell him. Well this book does get interesting. There is, if you like it, about 3 chapters of straight sex. Even though that was there, the book was still very good.

Helpful in limiting amount of notes that need to be taken
This series of books is very helpful and full of information that the huge textbooks have but very condensed. Great to make additional notes in the margins that the textbook deems is necessary information to acquire.

This book is great!
This book incorporates lots of games and activities for all ages, even including games that older and younger children can all play together. Many of the games do not have a "winner" or "loser," which eliminates much of the competition that can create havoc in a household. Most of the games and activities require very little (if any) monetary outlay, but keep the kids engaged. Many of the games are active ones as well, and can be done indoors or out. It is a great book to use on a rainy day, or if you are looking for games to play while travelling, waiting at the doctor's office, etc. It is written in a very organized and orderly fashion. I found it easy to find games for a particular age group, or a particular type of game. I only wish that I had as much imagination as the authors!
