A beautiful book
Melody Carlson's book is the best devotional book I've seen for wives to give their husbands. It's sensitive and written in such a way that the husband will hear his wife's heartfelt wishes for him. I was so surprised that it clearly expressed all those things I've been wanting to say to my husband. I highly recommend it as a Father's Day or other gift.

Great guidance book regarding peer pressure!
In, The Day the Circus Came to Town, accomplished author, Melody Carlson captures the true spirit of a young boy who is old enough to make decisions for himself. As it is in every day life, he has to struggle between following his heart and mind or being swayed by the influence of his "bully" friend. Billy takes the council of his friend and tries to convince himself that the circus is really for sissies.

After his family leaves for the circus, Billy walks around town and finds that everyone has gone too. Having regretted turning down two tickets in one day, he finds himself outside the circus tent wishing he was also inside with the others. He almost misses seeing his very first circus, just because he makes a bad decision. This is a great story for teaching a life-lesson.

Ned Butterfield, artist, does an excellent job on the illustrations. He has a unique ability to capture the mood and atmosphere of those early circus days in his drawings. The book is beautifully done.

God Made Them All
I received this book as a gift for my son's 1st birthday. He and his 2 1/2 year old brother love this book! It is bright, colorful and full of wonderful detail. It is written in rhyming form, so it is also a lot of fun to read to my little ones. The animals in the book range from geckos to possoms to penguins to cows to roadrunners and the list goes on! They are all special "for God has made them all!" This book is truly, truly wonderful! I am going to give it as a standard gift to all of my friends with young children.

Great introduction to the Bible for kids
This is a fantastic first Bible book for children. Gold and Honey presents over 100 of the best-known Bible stories ranging from the Creation to the foretelling of the Second Coming. The stories are balanced to give about 50% to the Old Testament and 50% to the New. Each story can be read to a child in a few minutes, and children should be able to read the text (with some help) in the first grade or so. Each story has large, colorful, and fun illustrations. The book contains a topical index and the end, and a presentation page is included at the beginning to make this a perfect gift. As a family, we have been extremely pleased with this book, and have gotten plenty of use out of it.

A Love Letter for All Ages
This beautifully illustrated book is a poem about love and the loves that a school-aged boy has. Along the way we encounter family and friends and the reader is left wondering who will receive the heart that the boy has made. The storytelling is engaging and the reader will surely not be disapointed in the end. I plan on giving this as a gift book to all who have made a memorable impact in my son's life.

What a little gem!
Secrets of the Vine for Little Ones is a precious little book. We bought it for our daughter when she was five months old. Hey, it's never too early to start laying the foundation!

The book is constructed of study board pages - they have held up very well to six months from our baby. The artwork is superb - every page seems captivating for our baby. The simplification of Wilkinson's "Secrets of the Vine" is masterfully accomplished - every line rhymes. The first page of text gives the reader the New King James Version of John 15:1-2, 5, 8, and 16.

The thing I like best about this book is that every time I read it to my little girl I get a refresher of the Secrets of the Vine myself. It is a wonderful reminder to me that I am to bear fruit for God's glory - I hope and pray that my daughter will be a part of that harvest.

I heartily recommend Secrets of the Vine for Little Ones!

the diary of a teenage girl
Caitlin O' Conner was a regular girl not popular and not unpopular. She had one friend and all she needed was one. She didn't see why you had to have alot of friends when you only needed one good friend. Her best friends name was beanie. She had one religion, as a christin, her family got along with each other fine, no relationships, one crush.

Along with caitlin's normal life she was turning 16 and along with that came troubles. On her 16th birthday she had stasrted to become a part of the popular crowd, and from then on things went wrong, her friendship with beanie, her religion, her family life and BIG problems with boys, girls were getting pregnant, and she didn't know if she would have sex or not she was scared that it would effect her religion, friends, and family.

The diary of a teenage girl was the best book I have ever read. this book had a huge impact on the way I see the world, or at least the part that I see everyday.

The book changed my thoughts because I saw things a little bit different. Maybe it was because I am a teenager myself, and I can undersand some of the problems she had.

I would highly recamond this book and expesially if you are a teenager. I guarentee you will see things in you'r environment differently. Like I said I am a teenager and it made a huge impact on me.

Definately a page turner
Caitlin O'Conner is a 16 year old teenage girl much like any teenage girl you'd see walking down the street. You'll follow her from New Years day all the way to the end of summer. She's a great example of what a teenage girl goes through everyday. She'll explore dating, sports, and growing closer to God. She'll also find out that being 16 isn't as much as a joy ride as she thought it would be. Her biggest problem is her friends. She has to choose between one crowd of new friends and another crowd of old friends. I guarentee that you'll be much closer to god than you were before you read the book.

I loved this book and couldn't put it down. The characters seemed so real! I loved the situations that the author put Caitlin and her friends in. I loved how she had to choose between her best friend Beanie, A new christian, and her knew friend Jenni. But when she finally gets noticed by her secret crush, Josh, a girl magnet, everything surrounding her changes. She loses a friend, but also gains one in the end. But, nothing hurts worse then family problems. When Caitlin's dad starts working longer then usual, she gets a little suspicious. So find out all about this book bye reading it and I guarentee that you'll love it too.

Diary of a Teenage Girl, becoming me
Caitlin O'Conner is a young 16 year-old teenage girl much like any teenage girl you'd see on the street today. You'll follow her from New Year's Day to the end of the summer. She's a great example of what a teenage girl goes through every day. She'll explore dating, sports, and growing closer to God. She'll also find out that being 16 isn't as much of a joy ride as she thought. But, her biggest problem is her friends. She has to choose between one crown of new friends and another crowd of old friends. So, I challenge you to read this book and follow Caitlin through her life trials.

I thought this book was the best book I've ever read. It was definitely a page-turner. I loved the way that the characters seemed so real, like my friends. Caitlin, for example, had many times been in bad situations and made wrong decisions but still went to God in the end. That shows that Christians aren't perfect at all. Her boyfriend, Josh, put her in bad situations and made her question God. They'd go to a party together and start drinking. He'd then become physically agressive. Also, when Caitlin's best friend, Beanie, was making bad choices, in the end she turned out okay. So, get this book, I guarantee that you'll love it too.

Kaitlyn Hennessy Bak Middle School of the Arts period 3
Melody Carlson continues her captivating writing in It's my Life: Diary of a teenage girl (book 2.) This book was just as wonderful as the first. Caitlin O' Conner's life never stops being interesting. She has many temptations with her new religion and has problems with her friends. In this novel Caitlin's church youth group goes on a mission to Mexico and there she feels she found her purpose in life, helping others who are less fortunate than her. This mission changes her views on a lot of things and will change yours too. Melody Carlson sucks you in and keeps you in till you reach that back cover and that's when you go buy the next book in the series. Any teen girl will love this book because we can all relate to Caitlin's life. That is why I give it 5 stars, but you must read all of the books in the series in order to get the full effect. But, trust me you'll want to read them all once you've read one.

This is an awesome book!!
This a totally awesome book that I think all teens and even adults should read.I have read and reread this book thousands of times and each time I am drawn to the characters, plots, etc. As I traveled down the road with Caitlyn's friends Beanie and Jenny,I frequently found myself crying because Melody Carlson just like brings you into her character's world and it's like you are walking beside them through each chapter!! So I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested! And her 1st book in this series is also very good but I would give this 2nd one a better chance!! And I defenitly think she could keep adding more books to this series!!

The Diary of A teenage girl, book 2 is Awesome!
It was as exciting as i thought the first one was! In this book she goes more in-depth into life's challenges of any teenage girl living right now. Carlson sure knows how to capture a readers attention. Every single issue she writes about in the book is something that almost all girls can relate too. The very moving storyline keeps you reading from the beginning to the end. You can's stop reading it! If you're a girl going through some tough times right now. This book, and her first one, are the perfect books to read. You'll find out that a lot of things she writes about is very similar to what you're going through. So check this book out! ;)
