Segal points out some significant disparity
The author has written an excellent overview. While he recognizes the romantic appeal of Campbell's work, he remains solicitous with his breakdown of the recurring themes, such as the collapse of Eastern into Western culture and the supposed Matriarchal culture and philosopy that underlies all "higher" forms of religion. This is not to say that he disproves Campbell's ideas as a mystic per se, since such ideas are subjective.

The Start Of Something Wonderful!
This was the second book of R.C. that I read. I first read The Cats Meow. I loved it so much that I found The Junkyard Dog...being it was the first of the Flannery mysteries. After I saw the titles of his books, I had to read each and every one. I wish R.C. would continue with the Flannery mysteries, I really enjoy them, even a second time. The other mysteries he writes are good also, but I am hooked on the Flannerys

Making It In The Music Business:The Insider Secrets
I have been in the music business for over 10 years. I've
read several books on the music business. When I heard about this new book called Making It In The Music Business:The Insider Secrets, I felt that I had to read this book. The first thing that I notice was that this book was written by musicians, not an attorney, like most of the other music books that are out there. The book broke down how hit songs are written, how often an artist is paid, what percentage the artist/writer's are paid, a business plan, and much, much more!!! This book is a must read by all musicians, artist, and performers. -Christina Mcnair

I have read this book time and time again (from the library) and it is excellent. The photographs are exquisite, and I, being compulsed to read every modern architecture book available, thoroughly enjoyed it.

A Narrative of Colonel Robert Campbell's Experiences in the Rocky Mountain Fur Trade from 1825 to 1835
Published in Hardcover by Ye Galleon Pr (1991)
Authors: Robert Campbell, Drew Alan Holloway, and Albert Klockmann
Amazon base price: $14.95
Used price: $51.12
Collectible price: $28.75
Average review score:

Excellent first hand narrative
This refers to the paperback edition. Robert Campbell joined Ashley's Fur Trade Expedition in 1825, and this little book gives his own account of his adventures in the American West up to 1835. Although Campbell is cited in many historical and biographical books, documents, manuscripts and journals, he has somehow eluded notoriety amongst the more famous mountain men and fur trappers of his day. After reading this book, one can easily see that he played a very significant role during this time period. Even though the book is only sixty pages, there are many interesting stories and events which Campbell relates to the reader. The historical notation and introduction are also well done.

Wonderful debunker of running myths.
A refreshing read that gives the details about the lives and times of these three brillian men. It helps to debunk all the soot that has accumulated upon their work from the burning fires of conservatives and the religious right. The attempts to tarnish their names with accusations of anti-semitism and other prejudices fall flat in front of the facts. This book shows that people must deal with the political waves of their own times, but it does not necessarily make them of the same dogmatic ilk.

Campbell's Psychiatric Dictionary Makes Sense
As with the prior editions of Campbell's psychiatric dictionary, this version is comprehensive and thorough. While it's useful to clinicians and students in related fields, it can also be used with clients for "official" explanations that are otherwise wordy in textbooks.

Trapshooting With D. Lee Braun and the Remington Pros: A Remington Sportsmen's Library Book
Published in Paperback by Benjamin Co (1911)
Author: Robert Campbell
Amazon base price: $22.00
Average review score:

Definitive photography of trapshooting
The best book on trapshooting I've read. Innovative photography was used to show the dynamics of trapshooting. The book is over 30 years old and still is the best text on the subject. The Remington Pros especially D. Lee Braun give great insight to the subject that is the number one shooting sport in the world.
