If you are a fan of Louisa May Alcott, this book is a MUST! It is packed full of great stuff.
In this anthology you will find four autobiographical stories and essays; a selection of her letters; five poems by L.M.A.; selections from her journals from age 14 to shortly before her death; and four of her short stories.
There is also a section titled "Remembering Louisa May Alcott." This portion includes essays, photographs, drawings and a poem. Fascinating!
Included at the back of the book are suggestions for further reading and a checklist of illustrations. It was very interesting to read about L.M.A and see photos of her and places she had lived.
Another interesting note is that her life was very similar to the March family in "Little Women".
This is a great book! Interesting and factual with much of Louisa's work I have not found anywhere else. Worth buying!

It is a well woven story of inspiration and the search for authentic self. The illustrations have a distinctly natural appeal that defers to the passion of Thoreau very well. They absorbed my youngest. The story and the words are engaging and inspiring enough for my eldest, a big fan of Little Women. It is a lovely book to share with your young creatives.

This book is just packed with inside royal information and ancedotes. It also has an amazing collection of royal photos and odds and ends. Things like signed photos of various royalties, meunu's from various occasions, personal snapshots, postcards etc that Louise retained from her various royal jaunts.
This is a lovely, and in some ways very personal book. You get to see the floatsom and jestom of royal living (eg menus etc) that mostly don't appear in other books. It gives you a great feel for the period and lifestyle Lousia lived.
If you are intersted in the royal heyday of the 19th century and early 20th century this is highly reccomended.
