I like it!!
Its wisdom I needed in my life, and I try very hard to go by Larry Burkett's principles. Especially being debt free, credit, mortgage.

I review his book from time to time when I start to slip. I look forward to using his principles to be debt free especially

Money Management for Kids
If you are looking to have devotions at home, but do not know where to begin, stop looking. This book and the entire series are excellent. They teach biblical values through hands on expereince. As a pastor of a church, I am recommending this series to all members who have children. You do not need to know theology or know how to teach, just have a desire to set aside time one night per week and enjoy time teaching, learning and growing with your kids in a Christ centered fun way.

Presents excellent advice in a format that appeals to teens.
What a user-friendly book! Easy-to-read print, lots of cartoon-style illustrations, short chapters, easy-to-follow activities in each chapter - all that and excellent information, too! Just the thing for my 16-year-old. When I saw this book I knew it would be a hit, but I didn't know just how big a hit. My kids choose their favorite subjects to work on first each day, and this book has become number one.

But, does it work? I'll say it does. Chapter 5, "Money Management Made Easy," introduces Larry Burkett's envelope system for managing money. As soon as my son read this, he gathered his envelopes and he's been using the system faithfully ever since. If that was all he got out of this book it would be worth the price. But he is also learning how banks and checking accounts work, how loans and credit cards work, the dangers of borrowing, how to buy a car, and even how to get and keep a job.

Larry Burkett's money management principles are very scripturally sound. Although we have tried to raise our children by demonstrating and teaching sound principles, sometimes hearing from an "expert" can be just what it takes to convince them to do what they should do because it's the right thing to do, not just because Mom and Dad say so. I think that is what the bottom line will be with this great book. I am very happy with it and recommend it highly. ~sbd

Does your child want everything?
Doesn't every child want everything they see? This fantasy allows children to imagine that they really could have everything. This is a really good book to teach children not to be greedy and let material wants influence them.

A helpful guide for anyone, not just young couples.
This has been a very helpful book for my husband and I. We are a couple in our mid twenties, and not in financial trouble, but wanted to learn better money skills. the information in this book is easy to understand, and realistic. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out the suggested ways to budget. Thanks Larry Burkett!

A must for people young & married (& their parents)
This book is great for anyone (married or single) who is either struggling to make ends meet or wants to make sure they don't get to that point. He offers not only spectacular advice on handling money, but also great advice for spiritual development, communication and cooperation in marriage. This book can help you save a relationship in trouble.

It shows you HOW you can live a better life on less money and break the choking chains of indebtedness. It is an excellant companion to Burkett's "Debt-Free Living," which can effectively scare you into wondering why you wouldn't follow the advice he presents.

One of the Best!!!
Larry Burkett's advice cannot be highly stated enough. He has solid biblical direction, practical advice, and years of "field testing," making this a book which won't gather dust on your bookshelf.

He explores many topics, such as being able to buy a car or house; as well as is it wrong to borrow large amounts of cash. He also explores credit cards and life insurance, as well as the standards, such as budgets, teaching your children about financial principles, and seeing ahead towards economic trends and dangers.

For a good and practical read which can be applied to any situation, a great resource!!!

Pretty good, even if you skip the theology
The financial advice is sound, practical, and practiceable, even for those who aren't Christians of Larry Burkett's stripe. I found the scriptural backing of every single point a little annoying, but not badly so, and would have no problem recommending the book to anyone as long as they understood that this was a book written by a born-again Christian, and knew what that meant. Definately one of the better books out there for providing sound basic advice for those who need to start from the very beginning.

how to manage your money
Excellent book for novist to professional. As a financial planner and a Christian I find this book loaded with practical scripture verses. It deals with evereyday financial matters, questions and thougths I constantly have about what god thinks about money matters. A must if you love the Lord and want his best concerning your finances.

How to Manage Your Money
This book helped me to clarify in my heart Who is the owner of all things. I know that God is the Creator, but the owner of what I have acquired? This book helps to focus the reader that God is the owner of our talents, possessions, time, and money. The spiritual insights are remarkable; and the book reveals how often God speaks about finances and what we are to do with them. Finally, the book reveals that when we commit our lives and finances to God, He will provide for our every need.
