One of the latest titles in the outstanding "Meet The Author Series" from Richard C. Owen Publishers, Imagination showcases popular children's picture book author Mike Thaler who tells young readers about himself, and what it's like to create, write, and illustrate stories for children everywhere. Full-color photographs and warm, personal narration make Imagination an enjoyable read to share, especially with budding young storytellers curious about the creative process. Also very highly recommended for school and community library collections are two other "Meet The Author" series titles: Laura Numeroff's If You Give An Author A Pencil... and Denise Fleming's Maker Of Things...

Best is if you can visit the Juice for Life restaurants in Toronto. The food there is just so good and the juices are great. But if you don't live anywhere near Toronto, this cookbook is the next best thing. It's basically delicious, mouthwatering vegan eats. I love the nori rolls (much tastier than your average vegetable sushi -- the secret is in how the rice is flavored) and the fact that she includes vegan pizza recipes (so hard to find cheeseless pizzas worth eating). I highly recommend adding this Canadian cookbook to your library.

This book is excellent! My 18 month-old niece loves it! The story about the cute little ladybug is wonderful and my niece has to read this book everynight before bed!

This book provides information on different cultures and then allows students to investigate some mathematics used in that culture. The activities are very open-ended and fun. Excellent book if you are looking for activities that stretch your students

Ruth Sanderson has created rich and detailed illustrations for this small book which presents the Nativity story from the gospels of Matthew and Luke in the Revised Standard Version. Sanderson's paintings are reminiscent of traditional Eastern Orthodox icons and Roman Catholic religious art. Both the illustrations and the text on each page facing them are bordered with vines, flowers, leaves, and birds, in the style of illumined text.

This would make a nice gift for a child at Christmas, and its size might allow it to be a stocking stuffer.

This book was a favorite of my childhood and I still read it to this day. I pick it up somtimes at night or just when I want a quick read! All children will love this story.

Rabbit pricks up his ears and senses that danger is near! A family of picnicer's and their dog are to close for comfort for the mice and the mole. The sunlight is blocked from view and a big black lab looks into the hole, the mice race for cover! But wait! Just as the dog is about to reach our little friends it starts to rain and the family(and their dog) pack up and race for home. Ater the sun comes back out the mice and rabbits have a picnic of their own with the feast left over by the humans. This book is Ruth Brown at her BEST. Animals are her forte` and she does not disappoint! My six year old BEGS for this book over and over!

All the angels are waiting to go down and greet the new born baby Jesus. The shy little angel annonces that she is NOT going. The others tell her that she must;"Gabriel is watching"! No,she will stay where she is and watch. The others go down to see the baby. The shy little angel can't help but peek down for a quick look. To tell more would be to spoil the end of the story for the first time reader. Things are not always what they appear to be!

Great book, I totally recommed this!

Ruth speaks from experience, the best experience one could hope for. In her comments she includes many details we would never think to ask such as keys to cars, emergency contact, care of the pets and phone numbers and schedules for garbage and recycling.
