What Humor!
This book is about Roy Linden and Whalin' Waymen Whitley. This book has a lot of humor. Roy has trouble with stuttering and everyone makes fun of him. On a quest to figure out what is showing up in his grandmother's water, he meets a man with the same problem of stuttering. He finds himself on the other side of being made fun of, with the man thinking that Roy is making fun of him. Waymen just cracks up trying to explain that his friend isn't making fun of him and that Roy also has a problem with stuttering. On his way to finding out what is going on with the water in his town, he makes a friend (Waymen) who accepts him as he is. And this aids in helping him to speak without stuttering as much. He also helps Waymen in learning to read. Great story with two friends helping each other to overcome their problems.

Always wanted to make me keep reading & I hate to read
This is a really exciting story about skydiving. The story starts out as any other regular story would, telling about the main ideas of who the people are and about skydiving. But as you get into it you find out things about the characters that you would never expect to be true. I like that the author gave a very good description of what was going on and didn't give you exact clues, but led you on so you had to think about what was going to happen next. The main character showed he was brave and very smart. He showed what needed to be done to protect people and how to pray to God for wisdom.

Number One book of the Whole Lightning on Ice Series!
This book is about Dakota Smith and Mike "Crazy" Keats. It's about how Dakota teaches Mike how to stay calm in situations that he would normally lose his temper. Even in the life and death situtaion where it looked like they might die, Dakota was very calm and this helped to influence Mike in keeping his temper in check. In the end Mike learned a very good lesson for life which helped them to win the last hockey game of the season. This helped him to keep from getting time in the penalty box which gave Mike's team a power play. This is a great book! We highly reccomend this book to boys ages 9 to 14 years old and even their moms.

Rumblings of Danger
Ricky is surprised when his grandfather asks him to come a few days earlier then his friends for their vacation in Alberta. Ricky doesn't know why until he arrives. Then, he's asked to become Rocky, juvenile delinquent. Ricky's great aunt owns a mobile home park, but recently there's been trouble. Two young men are harassing the residence, and there's a strange rumbling at night. The two adults are hoping that Ricky will be able to get a little information that will help them solve the problem. But Ricky starts to uncover a problem much bigger then anyone knew about. Will he be able to figure out what's going on?

As with all the Accidental Detectives, this book moves along at a brisk pace. The characters are vivid. In this case, there's enough going on that you don't really miss Lisa, Ralph, and Mike, but they add something major when they do show up. The opening few chapters are hilarious. I thought I remembered the plot of this book from reading it years ago, but I found I'd forgotten lots and was still surprised by the ending.

This is a perfect summer reading book. It's fast and fun and will keep anyone entertained from the first page to the last.

Rookie/Superstar!
Riley Judd is a super hockey player, but undisciplined and selfish! Tyler Watson is just glad to be on the team. He's definitely not the greatest player and he definitely doesn't play to his full potential. The coach teams them up to help the underpriveledged ADD kids and to help each other. One to look beyond himself and stop showboating and the other to begin to play up to his full potential. Riley and Tyler can't stand each other and that is an understatement! Through helping the kids and unraveling the mystery of the kool-aid tampering, they learn to care for others, do their best, and become really great friends. What a great book.
