Wonderful historical
Normally I'm not into historical non-fiction, but I'll make an exception for this book. _The Ninth Man_ tells what was happening in America during the 1940's with a personal twist that brings the facts to life. I encourage the purchase of this book, it is not for all ages but is defiantly a must read for anyone interested in spies and WWII.

Good relaxing read; historically accurate
Lots of fun. Corresponds to the historical record on the 8 Nazi spies almost perfectly, but still reads like a good spy novel.

good outline
This book provides excellent outline, but lacks practice questions. The book only have limited questions at the end of the Unit, and even then, the questions are sparce (~35 per unit of 5 or 6 chapters), instead of questions PER chapter.

Great for a thorough review.
This book has just the right amount of detail for course review, and it has a good, logically arranged layout. It's like an ideal set of class notes.

Training With NLP

one of the best NLP resources for trainers
After looking around for a while, I must admit that it is the best book about training I've found (as long as you're not involved in the classic education). The book offers a good and complete overview of what training is all about. If you know something about training, you will find out how much you already know. A nice feature of this book is its use of brain maps to offer a section overview, and really each chapter ends with an overview, offering the key points. My conclusion? If you want to know about training, get this book! If you want to get training in training, follow a seminar!

Great book for CIS Professors and Technical Trainers!
I got this book when I went to see Rex Steven Sikes in November, 1997 at his Trainers Training at IDEA SEMINARS in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
I used it when I was training call center Advisors at GM Onstar
for Sitel Corporation
I particularly like all the mindmaps in it.
This book is an easy read for people in human resources and sales
or even computer trainers who are trying to
become good at standup delivery.
Its also good for managers
who need to train others and develop
exciting training for high technology companies such as
the Big 3 Auto Companies.
Elegant NLP basics covered with a customization
for people who train, teach and empower others.
If you manage people this will enhance your mission.
If you want to learn about NLP and Training this is the book
to have for your collection.
I'm currently using this material develop my teaching
lessons at the University that I'm teaching Computer
Science Courses.

A Great book for those interested in Second Temple Judaism
I thought Collins did an excellent job at covering how Jewish eschatology came to be. He asserts that apocalypticism did not form in a vacuum, but was instead part of tradition of biblical prophetic and wisdom literature. Collins does good work also in including the apocryphal books of 1 Enoch and 2 Esdras.

Apocalypticism in the Dead Sea Scrolls (Literature of the Dead Sea Scrolls)
Published in Paperback by Routledge (1997)
Author: John Joseph Collins

Informative!
Apocalypticism in the Dead Sea Scrolls is well written and informative. The basic thesis in this book is the differing Apocalyptic views that prevailed during different periods of history, with the Dead Sea Scrolls being the main subject. I found this book interesting, and informative without criticism. There is also information in here as to the book of Enoch- very early beliefs. From there it goes to Dead Sea Scroll sects and the expectation of messiahs, the teacher of righteousness, rewards and punishments in the last Apocalyptic days. This author, John J. collins, wrote an excellent overview of similar but varying belief systems. He goes to show how history has affected and altered beliefs, but not completely! This book is well worth its price for anyone interested in Apocalypticism.

Cases and Problems on Contracts (American Casebook Series)
Published in Hardcover by West Wadsworth (2000)
Authors: John D. Calamari, Joseph M. Perillo, and Helen Hadjiyannakis Bender
Amazon base price: $79.00
Used price: $50.00

Good Book for first year law students
The first year of law school was very difficult. It was refreshing to use this casebook that so clearly outlined the law of contracts.

The best part about the book is the problems after every section of cases. These problems allowed me to realize whether I understood that type of contract.

The worse part about the book is that the hornbook is a newer edition. So, although Calamari does an excellent job laying out the law, the labels (that tell you which sections in the hornbook to read) do not always correspond.

It is a good book!
I am studing this book nowadays. But I believe there should be an answer book for the cases that shall accompany the book itself. We need to judge our understanding to the subjects by cross checking our answers with the key answer book. So, please advise on availability of such answer book! Ayman

New Insights
While all six essays in this slender volume will prove of interest to the reader seeking more background on J.R.R. Tolkien's epic story, I found the essay by Janet Blumberg, "The Literary Background of The Lord of the Rings" especially valuable. Prof. Blumberg not only explains the influences of Anglo-Saxon literature such as "Beowulf" and High Medieval literature such as "Sir Gawain and the Green knight" on elements in LOTR, but also offers a credible explanation for one of the most remarked about elements in the books: the absence of any overt religious practice or worship. This essay alone makes this slender volume a valuable addition to the library of any Tolkien fan.
