Astounding Book, Read it again and again!
I loved this book, and it is one of the few that I read over and over again. It is stunning when Santana manages to get over what is done to her by Hugo Bolivar. You just have to smile when you see how strong their love is and how Santana loves Valioso so much. Buy it, you won't regret it!

Where can I find a man like Red Wolf? Great book!!!
Ilove this book so much that I bought it. I appreciate how the book talks about the Native Americans side. You find out that the white men were doing the wrong. The Indians had a very wonderful life that didn't need gold, money, perfume just natural resources. I reccomend it.

Zeke and Abbie Forever
Savage Destiny contains a great deal of factual information on the spirituality of the Cheyenne throughout the book. The storyline of Zeke and Abbie is page turning. The plot moves continually. Zeke and Abbie's love triumph over tragedy after tragedy, death and near death. A love blessed by the Spirits brings you into realms of the supernatural. I am awed when a supernatural need pushes Abbie into looking at the Sacred Arrows. She is punished but a small sacrifice to finally understand that God by any name is God. She understands the Spiritually of the Cheyenne blended into her own faith. Abbie sees the good and evil in men regardless of skin color or faith.
The only parts I did not like were the superficial long explanations of what drove insignificant characters in the story. I just didn't read it them because it really wasn't a necessary part of the story.

Part 2 of the continuing saga of Zeke and Abbey
I wanted the book to start right off about Zeke and Abbie but it didn't after I got into it could not put down. The lost of Abbie baby Danicing Moon was a evil person all she did was for the spite of it all. I can't wait till I get book 3 and 4 which I have ordered. At times I wish all was in one book for they are hard to find at times.

it was great
It was wonderful i could feel their sorrow when Abby lost her first baby. Rosanne is a great writer.

Another notch for Ms. Bittner's belt
Another fabulous book by Rosanne Bittner. Every book is a keeper and Love's Bounty is no exception. The hero & heroine are well-developed and they are your good friends by the end. You hate to see it end and have to say goodbye to Christian Mercy (what a great name for a bounty hunter) and his Callie Hobbs. I never am I disappointed by a Bittner novel & hope she continues writing winners, like these for many, many years to come.

Love's Bounty
California Hobbs, better known as Callie, wanted revengeagainst the men who robbed and killed her father, then returned a fewmonths later and raped and killed her mother. All she needed was someone to help her. Enter bounty hunter, Christian Mercy. Callie saw him bring in three men for hanging and knew he was the one she wanted to help her. She'd give him everything she had--her farm, her livestock, her heart--if only he would help her fill that empty space inside where the rage burned.... Rosanne Bittner has done it again, weaving a spell of sexual tension intermingled with a desperate need for revenge between two people from totally different worlds. This is a Western romance with a definite twist. Another five-star for Rosanne!

Too short, but great neverless!
First off, I am a HUGE fan of Ms Bittner's work, I have been reading her for about 11 years now. This is the latest book from this brilliant writer. The only complaint I had with this book was the shortness. I love her work so much and was dissapointed when this one ended, if that could be considered a "complaint", lol. The story is about a young woman who hires a notorious bounty hunter named Christian Mercy to find the men who brutally murdered her mother and stole all her means of survival. The story is set in Wyoming in 1884. Callie Hobbs is a tomboy who feels she has nothing to lose by going on this trek across the west, through some of the most dangerous territory, like The Outlaw Trail. Callie is young and innocent, but Christian finds himself falling deeply in love with her. His dark past is filled with pain and regret, and he doesn't think he can ever love again. Callie makes him see different. This is an exciting story that only Rosanne Bittner could create so wonderfully. Both characters are full of life and I found myself caught up in the story. It made me cry in parts and smile in others. It's a great story that shouldn't be missed. All of Bittner's work shouldn't be passed-by. She writes in a way that has you feeling you actually are there with her characters in the "old west". Try this book, I don't think you'll be dissapointed.... =)

Enjoyable!
Although I enjoyed this book as I do every book by Rosanne Bittner, I have to say, I thought Joline's sister, Anna Kelley's story EMBER OF THE HEARTS was better. Joline Masters was a great character, I really admired her spirit and all she endured, but I couldn't warm up to Clint Reeves, the same way I could to Nate Foster. I did enjoy the story though. I just did not find my self feeling as close to the characters as I usually do with Rosanne's books.

A Great Read!
Of all Roseanne Bittners books, this is definetly one of my favorites! The courage that Joline shows in the wake of all the tragedy that befalls her is amazing!I first read this one about 6 years ago,and I keep reading it over and over when i need a book! Its a keeper!

I have always enjoyed Ms. Bittner's stories!
I have been a long time fan of Ms. Bittner's. She is a very fine wirter than pulls you into her stories and makes you believe than you are right in the thick of the action of these stories. I have always had to read her stories straight through to the end, even if it takes me days and nights. I would like to get a list of all her books in print and I especially enjoyed her cowboy and indians stories of the old west.

It's Great
I thought the book was great. You would never be disappointed with anything Bittner writes

Has a little bit of everything in it.
I pulled this one off the library shelves and I enjoyed it. For a while I didn't think Sunny & Colt would EVER get together. I was on a roller coaster with emotions- and truly loved the end. The end held a couple of surprises. The setting in the beginning is the wild west during 1857. Chicago tycone Bo Landers has dreams for the first railroad to head west. To be able to convince his supports to help finance it he wants to head west and see what obsticles there are. He hires Colt Travis (a good-looking Indian 1/2 breed) as scout to accompany him, his daughter Sunny Landers (Daddy's reason for living) and a team of men. During the trip, an innocent attraction starts between Colt (20) and Sunny (15) but Daddy discourages it. Sunny will one day inherit all and needs someone of her own status. Colt ends his scouting for the Landers- while Sunny is feeling the pains of first love. As years pass Colt marries & loses his wife and infant son during an Indian raid. Sunny's father dies leaving his fortune (of which Sunny's 2 brothers squabble over) and his railway dream to Sunny to pursue it. As she starts to fill the shoes of her father's, Blaine O'Brien, a rich tycone that has a dream to become president one day, has his eye on Sunny to make her his wife (there's no mention of love). Hearing of her father's death, Colt writes Sunny sending her his condolences. They start keeping in contact by mail-filling a void in each other's lives (giving fuel to that old flame). Colt shows up in Chicago and seeks Sunny out. One night of passion leads to disaster. Colt realizes their lives are worlds apart and he leaves after having a confrontation with Sunny's brothers-who are afraid Sunny is going to make a mess of her future. But Sunny can't forget that night. Though Brian is definately in the picture, it takes a while but Sunny seeks Colt out. Another night under the stars produces... I'll stop there. You'll have to read it for yourself. But you won't believe the ups and downs- Indian raids, fist fights, buffalo stampedes, grand dinners & balls, train wrecks, battles (Civil War), nights under stars, etc. This book has a little bit of it all, along with a wonderful ending (don't cheat by reading ahead).

Thunder on the Plains
This is the best book I have ever read. It's like a soap opera storyline where they first give you the impression that two very different people can never get together and be happy. But then Rosanne g r a d u a l l y puts them together. The Love was always there, from the beginning, but Rosanne writes it, so that it is an ABSOLUTE MUST that you keep reading it! Love blooms because two people both desparately need someone to talk to, through the mail. (It would be called EMAIL in 2000.) It is exciting to see a woman grow up, and a man to realize that she has. Just like today, family members get involved where they are not welcome! My congrats to Sunny. The Women of 2000 would love her! This is the first book of Rosanne Bittner's that I read. I have since been a used book store "junky" trying to find others from the past. Sunny follows her HEART, and through many obstacles, it leads to happiness. It could easily be made into a 6 hour TV miniseries, or a 3 hour cinema feature. Thanks Rosanne.

Authenticity and Romance - one of Bittner's Best
Rosanne Bittner has returned to writing about our Native culture in Mystic Dreamers. For those of us who have read and loved Song of the Wolf, this is a long overdue wait. Because I am Native American myself, I look for authenticity and am usually disappointed at stereotyping and less than accurate depictions of my people. Bittner is a rare romance writer who seems to care about making the Indian, a human with strengths and failures, who love and hate and feel. I really enjoyed this book but I miss the depth that is missing that was in Song of the Wolf or Montana Woman. An extra hundred pages of depth to the plot, and yes, the characters would have been most welcome. However, if you love romance, Bittner should be your first choice. -

Entranced
I have been intereted in Native American culture as of late. I found this book on sale and decided to give it a try. It turns out it was a great purchase. I could not put the book down. The romantic side of the story and the realism kept me reading and in a few days I was through and wishing I had Mystic Warriors to keep reading the story. The writing style made me feel as though I was there. I am now an avid fan of Rosanne Bittner and have just ordered Mystic Dreamer and plan to read as many of her books as possible.

Wonderful!
Stalking Wolf's vision told him to seek out the woman, Star Dancer, who was blessed by the White Buffalo. Their marriage did not begin in love. They were two strangers destined to lead the Lakota to a better and stronger future.

Fall Leaf Woman and Gray Owl were the only ones who did not embrace the couple in welcome. Despite their greed for revenge and jealousy, they must learn that the Spirits will always do whatever is needed to ensure the survival of the People.

*** The first of a new Mystic series! It has been years since I have found such an amazing author as this! It follows history closely. Shows how things were made and the pride of ceremonies. I did not realize how much I was learning about the Lakota because I was deep into the story of this incredible couple! This one has just been released in paperback. The next of this series will be released in May in hardback and titled "Mystic Visions". I will have the review up within a few more days. Don't miss Mystic Dreamers! ***
