extremely beautiful and historically accurate
This book was the best "historical romance" I have ever read!! What impressed me the most about it was the accurate historical facts of Cherokee history used in this touching story. Personally, I love studying Cherokee history and Rosanne's knowledge of Cherokee history really impressed me in this book. (You see, the location of this book, is where I grew up!) One cant help but get involved in Andrea and Adam's lives and you feel so much for them. In my heart, I know that this love story actually happened to many people during the time of the "removal" in early America's dark past. I felt happiness, got angry and cried, and have read it 3 times! I JUST WANT TO SAY GREAT BOOK ROSANNE, GIVE US A SIMILAR ONE PLEASE- USING THE NEW ECHOTA CHARACTERS AGAIN!

BEST BITTNER BOOK EVER!
This was the very first book I ever read from this author and I literally cried on some parts, it was so touching and heart wrenching. The unbelievable story between the hero and heroine keep you turning the pages until its over. This book is full of adventure and rich in Cherokee history. The love story between Andrea and Adam is so sweet and touching it will bring tears to your eyes and make you fall in love with Adam and Andrea. The things he suffers makes you wish you could step into the book and help him. I HIGHLY recommend this book. Rosanne's writing is superb. She brings her characters to life, and the history and surroundings. Even though it's out of print now, track a copy of this book down, it's a must read.

Not some sweet little romantic fling...
To me the characters in this book were very strong. I really dug how the heroine grew to be so strong. Has for Moss well the guy has a not to shiny past but his heart is in the right place and his imperfections seem to just add more character to him. There were some pretty ugly scenes but that just made them stronger characters all in all I'd recommend this for someone who likes western historical's, but if it's the glitter and style of a regency ballroom then this is definately not your read :-) Next on my F.Rosanne Bittner list is Comanche Sunset hope it's as memorable as Lawless Love.

Great Book!
This is the first book that I have read by Rosanne Bittner. Perhaps, that is why it remains my favorite. The hero and heroine went through so much, yet their love remained strong. If you can find it I recommend your reading It.

Tohave and Katie
Katie was forced to marry her father's best friend, Ezra Russell, because Ezra (a childless widower) needed a woman to go west with him.

For as long as Katie knew she has been abused, first by her father, then by her drunk older husband. While riding out to the prairies of Nebraska, Indians ride down on their wagon. They should be on the reservation, but their leader, Tohave, likes to play tricks and tease the newcoming settlers.

Finding Katie in the back of the wagon, Tohave can't believe such a beautiful woman can be married to the ugly old man driving the wagon.

Ezra, thinks women are only for doing chores and making babies, not believing that a woman would actually want him on his own merits, he thinks he needs to abuse women to get what he wants.

Tohave is Katie's only hope, and only true love. They'll be together no mattter what hardship befalls them.

DON'T PASS THIS UP... Bittner gets better with every book!

Rosanne Bittner at her best!
Forced to marry her father's friend Ezra, the hot and lonely Southwest Nebraska land which Ezra says is to be her new home is no place for a girl like Katie Russell. However her seemingly doomed future in the barren land is changed when their covered wagon is surrounded by the most feared thing in the land... Indians.

While hiding in the back of her wagon, she suddenly comes face to face with the handsome savage who has not only stolen her attention and her thoughts, but her dreams and heart as well.

Prairie Embrace tells of how two people can overcome all odds to be with each other. This is Indian romance at its best. Don't miss this one!

Unique... a true page turner...
Shameless is a wonderful story filled with entertaining and warm characters... as well as a few outlaws. A very unique storyline, that adds the true historical fact of the Army's camel experiment of 1855.

Nina Juarez, started her life of crime alongside her brother, after their parents were killed by American soldiers. The last person she ever expected to be kind to her, or even to fall in love with, was an American soldier. Can there ever be a future for them, and how far should a sister go to protect her brother...

The answers are all in this unique and enjoyable story, that will surely be a page turner!

As the first book I have read by Roseanne Bittner, it will certainly not be the last. I'm anxious to look into her other stories.

Loved It
This book has alot of humor in it. It is set before the Civil War when camels were bought to the U.S. to be used by the army. The romance between Clay and Nina is so down to earth and easy to relate to

Tender Betrayal
Loved this book. Rosanne Bittner can really weave a story, and she makes learning history so enjoyable. I view the Civil War from a different perspective now. I recommended this book to my sister; and she thoroughly enjoyed it, also. We both agree that Mrs. Bittner should write a sequel to this one.

A Keeper
Get your kleenex ready when you read this one. The story starts off before the Civil War and carries through the war. The love between Audra and Lee is so beautiful and unconditional even though they came from different parts of the country. This was the first Bittner book I have read, and I can't wait till each of her new books are for sale. I have read all of Bittner's books at least once several twice and I'm not about ready to give any of them up

Fabulous.
Whenever you think Rosanne Bittner has written her best book, you pick up another of her books and find it's even better than the previous one. "Unforgettable" is just that; it will remain in your heart and your memory long after you read it. The characters are very real and you can't wait to turn the page to find out what happens to Ally and Ethan. When you finally finish the book, you feel a great sense of satisfaction after such a fantastic read along with a disappointment in no longer being able to share in the lives of Ethan and Ally. If you have never read Rosanne Bittner before, this is a great place to start, although I don't think you could read anything by Rosanne and be disappointed. A sequel of this book would be wonderful, it's that great and the main characters that wonderful.

Unforgetable
The title say's it all Unforgetable. Alley and Ethan went thru denial of their feelings. They felt used and didn't won't to really say what was in their hearts. I didn't won't Alley to loose the baby, they struggled and glad at the end they listen to their hearts, would like a sequal of letting us know she had many children and other trials of interference from other's in their lives.

Caress
This is what Rosanne Bittner does best. She creates a spark of love. That love is not realized until the 2 are very far apart, and it seems impossible that they will never be together. But she cleverly brings them together so that you never want to put it down. It comes during a very conflicting time in history, The Civil War. You want to stand up and cheer when they very deceptively find a way to free a slave. This is the 3rd best book Rosanne Bittner has written. #1 is Thunder on the Plains, and #2 is Montana Woman!

Comanche Sunset by F. Rosanne Bittner
I enjoyed this novel immensely. I have a well-worn copy of this book. I love F. Rosanne Bittner's stories. She writes with such clarity that you think you are there with the characters watching them as a third party. In 'Comanche Sunset' Wade Marrow is the son of a Freight Shipping Mogul, but he is also part Comanche who was abandoned by his real mother because he was a twin and Comanches think of Twins as Bad Omens. Well Lester and Vivian Marrow saved Wade from the ravages of the Texas Plains and went to California. In 1860, Wade is now 26 years old and in search of his Indian Heritage, so he hops one of his father's freight trains and goes to San Antonio where he signs on as Indian Scout for a stage coach going to Fort Stockton and meets Jennifer Andrews who is going to Ft. Stockton as a mail-order bride. Along the way the stage coach gets attacked by renegade Indians and all but Wade and Jennifer are dead in the raid. Wade and Jennifer travel alone through the Texas plains towards Ft. Stockton with Wade treating her wounds and they soon realize there was no denying the passion they were destined to share in the magnificent glow of the Comanche Sunset.

The characters are simple and believable. This book as been a favorite of mine for years because Ms. Bittner uses real places and real history in her stories that set the scene for the couples in her romance novels. Ms. Bittner did a great job in creating these characters, for how the story was written they are suited for each other. I recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys Indian romance and a F. Rosanne Bittner fan.

Another winner by Rosanne Bittner
Every book of Roseanne Bittner's that I have read, I have loved and Embers of the Heart is no exception. This book fills you with every emotion at one time or another. It covers nearly ten years in the life of Anna Kelly. Starting with just before her husband goes off to fight for the Confederacy through the years in which she wonders what has become of him until the very end, when he has to pay for his crimes. Through it all, Anna becomes a strong, independent woman. As usual Ms. Bittner's novel is filled with historical accuracy and well-developed characters. This is one author, who can not write a bad book, not even a mediocre one. This book like all her others gets a five-star rating. Although this book may be hard to find, it's more than worth the trouble to find.
