All of these stories were written before the author's 30th birthday, the point being to prove that you don't have to be old to contribute good stuff. The collection includes stories from both older or deceased authors as well as new previously unpublished authors. The collection started off kind of weak and didn't have quite as many gems as I expected. I was kind of amazed at how many of the stories were pretty short. Maybe it was their brevity or maybe the writing itself, but the stories were just not as good as I expected. However I have listed the ones I did like below.

"The Mangler" by Stephen King - Early King but still good stuff, some might even say better than some of his current offerings

"Little Black Bags" by Clark Perry - Everything is not as it seems

"Armadillo Village" by Terry Campbell - An old horror story theme that proves to still be very good

This was a great short story collection-Poppy Z. Brite's story was incredibly disturbing. One of the best stories is Lorelei Shannon's-her story of two people who would do ANYTHING for each other was touching, in a violent way. This short story collection proves that young authors can hold their own against the old-guy establishment!

I bought this CD purely for the CME credit. I am a board certified radiologist. I got thirty hours of credit in the comfort of my living room. I'm not sure how they came up with the 30 hours, you might take 10. The cases are limited in scope with only a single image per case. This CD won't help those of you looking for review before oral boards. Only worth the money for the CME. 375 bucks for fifty teaching file cases is too much. An interesting touch was a program that read aloud the case discriptions. Probably used by all those vision-impaired radiologists at VA hospitals.....

That said, I do hope that Dr. Baker publishes future CDs on a single topic 100 or more cases in a single subsection (ie chest or bone) would be nice. Several images per case would be helpful esp. some cross-sectional imaging. I did like the web-browser based format. Buy this CD and see how they did it if you want to publish your own cases.

I put it down after a 4 pages.I wouldn't recomend this book to kids 7

collector's should get a copy of the Barry McGee book published in Italy by Prada back in 2002. With 300 pages of full color art plus a 20 page interview it's easily the one essential volume of Barry McGee's art. Don't even bother with this shabby collection of pamphlets or "The Buddy System" which only has about 20 pages in color. Get the Prada book-it even has an original Twist sticker on it!

I was dissapointed upon receiving this book. Actually it is not even a book, it is a collection of pamphlets from an exhibit in Philidelphia under the same name. As a fan of Barry Mcgee's artwork I was discouraged to find only a few examples of his work and mostly not even in color. I would recommend the book 'Scrawl - Dirty Graphics & Strange Characters' for someone interested in McGee and other similiar urban artists.
