A must have!
I recommend that any fan of William Blake buy this volume and the other 5 in the series. The books are beautiful, large, and handsomely bound. Each book is reproduced in full color, using a six-color printing process rather than the standard four. The pages are heavy, opaque and have a gorgous lustre indicating very high quality paper. The text of each book accompanies the color reproductions in standard typeface with very competent commentary to boot.

Excellent Book for ESL
I am a literacy tutor for Spanish-speakers that want to learn English. This is the best book ever, and it is one I always use with my students. It has excellent little line drawings that I Xerox and then cut into cards to use in playing words games. I really like the layout of this book. Highly recommended!

great guide and review
Webb and Kysar provide an excellent review for preachers who have some basic background in koine Greek. However, no prior knowledge of Greek is required. The authors lead the reader through step-by-step basics, as each chapter builds skills and knowledge. The volume is not intended to make scholars out of neophytes. However, Kysar and Webb do a very admirable job of equipping the preacher to mine the many riches of the New Testament. Sample sermons are provided, as well. Various cautions and encouragements are candidly described. This book may well turn out to be a modern standard for the worthy challenge of preaching the Christian Scripture.

A good guide to start with & as reference for your practice
This guide takes you from the begining of the electrocardiac cycle to the end, and throws you all the curves on the way. An excellant guide for the beginner, as I was when I first used it, and for my practice as an ICU RN. I keep it with me and refer to it often.

Harrison's is essential
I have used Harrisons since the eighties. I am a Clinical Psychologist dealing with patients who often have multiple medical problems. Harrison's is a complete solution to getting up to the date medical information, not only the book and CD but also the Website. It is expensive, but if you only ever buy one medical text, this has to be the one.

Excellent primer for anyone interested in the stock market.
After reading "Investment Facts of Life," Idiscovered that "Dow Jones and the Industrials" was not arock band.
The book is an excellent primer for students, and for parents who wish to stimulate an early interest in the stock market for their children. "'Facts of Life" thoroughly explains the facets of the stock market and investing in a straightforward manner without irrelevant "fluff." The book is filled with valuable information for readers of all ages and investment experience in a conversational style and tone that is down-to-earth.
"Investment Facts of Life" covers a broad view of the investment world. For example, the author emphasizes why reading is a lost art that can be rediscovered, the importance of market psychology, Wall Street's "Doublespeak," and why pessimism is an "unbearable" The second chapter asks the question, "Why should I study the stock market?" I pondered on this question. After reading the book, I came to the simple conclusion; the stock market affects my life, along with the fact that it is important to the economic system.
The book offers actual client cases in which the clients think they can invest better or know more about investing than an investment advisor. The author utilizes the use of fictitious characters such as "I.M. Losing Money," "Wild Bill," and "Ray & Hemma Rhoid" to portray his real-life client cases.
Included in the book is a Stock Selection Worksheet actually used by the author in his money management firm. This worksheet enables him to focus on the many variables that he considers when choosing suitable stocks to invest in. The worksheet is a useful aid in picking stocks. Also, the amusing illustrations simplify the subject material of each chapter.
The most important aspect of the book is the conversational style and the feeling of being in a one-on-one conversation with the author. I learned about the stock market and its facets through a person whose expertise and real-life experiences made it interesting and relevant to my life.
NOTE: The author was recognized in 1987 by "Money" magazine as one of the top stockbrokers in the U.S., and he owns his own private money management firm.
The Jews of Vienna in the Age of Franz Joseph
Published in Paperback by Bnai Brith Intl Continuing (November, 1992)
Amazon base price: $79.00
Average review score:
An excellent book on a critical time in Jewish History
This is an excellant book. Unlike many others, it gives you more than the title suggests. It actually starts in the 1820's, and gives a brief synopsis of the Jews in Vienna before this period also. The basic format of the book is to concentrate on the main figures and issues that Viennese Jewry faced in the different periods that the book covers. The author gives a quite fair treatment to all of the figures in the period irregardless of their political or religious views, and open-mindedly examines the issues that Viennese Jewry faced and the decisions that they made. Viennese Jewry in this period was very important and instructive. Of course the most famous figure is Theodore Hertzl, who is treated at length. Vienna at the time had a very diverse Jewish community. It ranged from the super assimilated aristicratic Jews like the Rothchilds and Baron Hirsh to the ultra-Orthodox immigrants from Galicia. The issues that they faced ranged from assimilation, Zionism, anti-Semitism, to inter-Jewish relations.

Segal points out some significant disparity
The author has written an excellent overview. While he recognizes the romantic appeal of Campbell's work, he remains solicitous with his breakdown of the recurring themes, such as the collapse of Eastern into Western culture and the supposed Matriarchal culture and philosopy that underlies all "higher" forms of religion. This is not to say that he disproves Campbell's ideas as a mystic per se, since such ideas are subjective.
