Great fun
It's just plain fun and intriguing to listen to Isaac Asimov himself read his stories. There's no better way to get them. Listening to these allows me to go read his other works and have a little bit of insight into how he might have read those -- what things he would emphasize, what inflections he'd have, what sort of emotion he brings to his work... You get a little feeling this way for what the stories meant to him. And, of course, they're great stories. Did he write any bad ones ever? I don't think so. Maybe some would say you have to be a science fiction fan to enjoy Asimov's stories. I think you only need to be a fan of stories.

Fun Variety - 3 excellent sci fi short stories
3 terrific short stories - Asimov Style! Anyone who apprecites Asimov, 20th century short stories, Star Trek, Star Wars, Star Gate, etc., will definately appreciate stories #2 & #3 on this audio book. My favorite was #3 - "The Last Monster" - a parady of modern culture set in the future and on a different planet!

One of the Greatest Science Fiction Collections
My introduction to classic science fiction came when I read 2001: A Space Oddesey, written by Arthur C. Clarke. Isaac Asimov's name caught my interest when I saw this book in the book store, and as I looked through the authors of short science fiction stories (a complete listing is below), I knew I had to have this book. This book features classic science fiction stories from the year 1939, and includes many of the first stories written by such authors as Robert Heinlein.

My favorite short story in this collection is Black Destroyer, written by A. E. Van Gogt. It is the story of the last survivor of a dying race, whose only chance for survival comes in the form of an Earth ship. Other good stories include the humorous Trouble With Water by H. L. Gold and I, Robot by Eando Binder (no relation to Asimov's own book by the same name).

This is the first book in a series of classic science fiction collections by Isaac Asimov, and is well worth your interest.

Complete listing of Short Stories in this collection:
I, Robot -- Eando Binder
The Strange Flight of Richard Clayton -- Robtert Bloch
Trouble with Water -- H.L. Gold
Cloak of Aesir -- Don A. Stuart
The Day is Done -- Lester Del Rey
The Ultimate Catalyst -- John Taine
The Gnarly Man -- John Taine
Black Destroyer -- A.E. Van Gogt
Greater Than Gods -- C.L. Moore
Trends -- Isaac Asimov
The Blue Giraffe -- L. Sprague De Camp
The Misguided Halo -- Henry Kuttner
Heavy Planet -- Milton A. Rothman

Life-Line -- Robert A. Heinlein (his first)
Ether Breather -- Theodore Sturgeon
Pilgrimage -- Nelson Bond
Rust -- Joseph E. Kelleam
The Four-Sided Triangle -- William F. Temple
Star Bright -- Jack Williamson
Misfit -- Robert A. Heinlein (his second)

Facts galore in this interesting piece of work
Isaac Asimov, someone typically associatied with science fiction novels, compiled this tremendous book of facts that will amaze you. If you are planning on scoring big on "Who wants to be a millionaire?" than this is the book for you. This compilation of useless facts is grouped by subject and can be read from cover to cover, or is a useful source when writing a paper and looking for that one interesting attention getter that will make your paper seem much better than it really is. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that does a lot of writing, since it does contain so many interesting things about so many subjects. Enjoy!

Issac Asimov: Lord of Robots
I bought this book on a whim, and man was I glad I did, it is superb! The book is split up into four different stories which all focus on I-Bots, the first examples of artificial intelligence. The first story begins by chronicling the life of an American spy in WW2 Germany then rockets to the near future, and leap frogs again to many points in bettwen. The book is fully illustrated with wonderfull artwork, that trully matches Asimov's genius. If you are at all interensted in robotics, or are just looking for a good book to read, buy The History of I-Botics, you won't be dissapointed. Peace.

This is an excellent book for all adventurous readers.
Robot City is an intriguing book about the presumed future of man. It is an excellent read because it shows how people from the past viewed our future. This book was written in 1985, but is still shows a total different view of the times to come. The book takes place in the Twenty-third century, and is very mysterious. The mystery is one of the elements that makes this story great. The true identities of the main characters are not revealed until late in the saga. When you start the book, Robot City, I guarantee that you will not be able to put it down. Although this might not be one of the non-stop, exploding, shooting, books that are popular now, it is a mysterious book that will leave you hanging after every paragraph. It is amazing as the author uses his skillful writing to introduce the reader to his view of the future. There are many kinds of robots, new materials, new devices, and many more things that you had never dreamed of to discover in this excellent novel. This book is very hard to come by, and if you are lucky enough to obtain it, I highly reccomend you read it and behold the mystery that Robot City has for you to explore.

Very good Dramatization of the first book.
This was a very well done "book-on-tape". It was actally a dramatization of it intead of just a boring reading. Very appropriate for the book. It is too bad they did'nt make any more of these based on the other books.

Solar quest
This anthology takes us on an SFnal tour of our home system, with a story for each planet, plus one for the Sun. It's a solid collection, with no really weak stories, and a couple of outstanding ones. All are reprinted from Asimov's SF magazine. This collection should lay to rest any lingering doubts of whether the magazine publishes hard-SF. Recommended.
