This book was AWESOME, I recomend reading it!
I love this book and I hope that the author writes a continuation to this book. Where he actually tells of Annie Harding and Stewart Andersons trials and blessings to come. Like, if they had a baby or if she went to college and how Annies father and mother turned out.
Nothing heavy here....
This book is nice, easy reading. There's nothing difficult here. It reminded me of a cross between "Little House on the Prairie" and "Christy". It's your basic historical Christian family novel, with a good message. Don't think, however, that there's no storyline. You are taken into the lives and homes of the characters and you feel their struggles. There are even some good guy/bad guy themes involved, for those who lean toward elements of literature. If you're looking for an enjoyable Christian novel that you can finish in a few days, you'll love this book!!

Every teacher, K-12, should be given this book!
Every teacher, K-12, should be given this book for their library...it is that good! Because it is short (less than 100 pages), there is time in the busy teacher's life to read it (I read it over a few days, just a few pages at a time). It is articulate and insightful, and brought many, many tears to my eyes.
One Small Miracle is a great book!
One Small Miracle is a wonderful book about a teacher's love. Mary Bartel is in Sophie Lawson's 6th grade class. As Sophie looks out across her students, she knows that this year with Mary Bartel will not be easy. Mary is a young orphan who lives with her grandmother. She comes to school every day wearing one of her two dresses, with her hair drooping in front of her face, badly in need of washing. Mary's grandmother works long hours at a rest home, and is too tired and busy to care about Mary's life. God places a love for Mary in Sophie's life, and Sophie reaches out to help Mary. Because of this, Mary grows up to be a beautiful and happy young woman. This book is touching and inspirational. It reminds us to help people in need...we could change someone's life.

You Can Be Holy, TOO
This book is a daily cleansing from myself. It has shown me that I can't buy, adopt, borrow, or bribe for His holiness. I receive His holiness only through Him. This book is teaching me that the Lord Jesus Christ, and Him alone, makes holy. If you desire to be holy in every area of your life this is the book you must read. This book will give you as it has given me a daily dosage of how to obtain, apply and be Holy, as God is Holy.
The book is easy reading and I carry it with me everywhere I go. I read it on the train, at my office, at the kitchen table. God's holiness is becoming so real to me, and this little, but powerful book has played a significant role in my daily life.

An Excellent Book by an Excellent Writer
This is a beautiful, moving story by a writer who doesn't get much attention, but is better at what he does than many of the "bestselling" Christian writers in the marketplace.
A Lance Wubbels story always gives me the feeling I've learned something important, but haven't been hit over the head learning it. Most of all, I just enjoy his characters and his stories.
If you like a good, wholesome story, this man delivers.
Patience, forgiveness, and love are the main themes
Well worth your time to read this one. Any teen or adult would benefit from the messsage of this book. The characters are beleivable, as is the story. There is much to learn and enjoy in this book. I'll read it more than once. The title above says it is part of the Gentle Hills series, but I think is comes before that series.

Great book, moves well between war and those left at home
This book was a page turner that held my attention and sent me looking for more. The book transcended well from the trama of WWII and those it left behind to carry on with every day life. I felt close to the character; crying, laughing and rejoicing with each of them through it all. I am now reading the book to our teenage kids for family time. They like it!

Keeper of the Harvest
Deals with hard decisions well, such as "Is God calling me to the mission field?" Book was instrumental in a difficult time, very inspirational. Humor is great, you'll want to keep reading.

Theology - not a reference work!
This is a 192 page sermon based on the life of Abraham as given in the Old Testament. The only reference material used was the King James version of the Bible (and a certain amount of the author's speculation). This book attempts to use the life of Abraham to illustrate Christian theology. Book itself originally written approx. 100 years ago, rather than in 1996 when it was edited for publication. I strongly suspect all other works by F.B. Meyer to be in the same vein.
