Great one sit read. It keeps your attention.
When I sat down with "The Beast", I was not planning to read the entire book in a single sitting. Terry Adams did a superb job at putting the reader into the lives of the real life characters. Book very well researched. Its a must for those who prefer "fact" rather than "fiction". Very well done with particularly good detailing of events.

Good True Crime Novel
This is a well written book that I believe does a good job of exploring the life of James Woods. I recommend this as a good read for any true crime buff who is interested in serial murders.

A Must Read!
The Eye Of The Beast was the most awesome book I have ever read! I read it straight through in one day because I could not put it down. As soon as I picked the book up, I was instantly hooked. I guarantee you will love this book!

A Walk In Wolf Wood
I think tht this is a great book. I liked it because I like to read fantasy books. The begining was a little bit boring. As I read the book got better and better. A Walk In Wolf Wood makes you think "What is going to happen next?". Well to make this short anyone who likes fantasy books should read this.

Walk in Wolf Wood
I only paid .98 and the book was in excellent condition and was recieved in a timely matter. As a matter of fact I ordered four books at the same time from different sellers and this one came first, three days later. I would recommend this seller's books to anyone if the others are as good of condition as this one.

A great childrens/adolescent book. Captures the imagination.
Because I have loved Mary Stewart books since I was an adolescent I was drawn to read Walk in Wolf Wood when I discovered it on the library shelves as an adult. I was not disappointed in this tale by the master storyteller I knew she was. I read it as a young mother and then on two different occasions to my children. Each time as we neared the last few chapters we had a difficult time putting the book down. I think Mary Stewart did a wonderful job weaving this medieval tale. It was exciting, suspenseful and heartwarming. I am surprised at those readers who claimed the story was not up to par. I wish Mary Stewart would write more children's books such as this.

It's a radio play!
This is probably the greatest play ever written for RADIO! It's a medium rarely thought of for such things today, and theater people repeatedly come a cropper in trying to put it on the stage. I've seen several stage productions and one TV version, and the piece simply does not work that way. Dylan Thomas takes the LISTENER inside the characters' dreams and thoughts. Once they are concretized or thingified on a stage or screen, they are destroyed. Don't read it. Close your eyes and LISTEN. It's magnificent - funny, sweet, moving.

A Moving Experience. . . .
I first heard this recording over 30 years ago while an undergraduate student. I was stunned. It is the full theatrical experience on tape -- Dylan Thomas wrote the play for voices alone, and this recording was made with the actors simply sitting on folding chairs while delivering the lines. You can note some similarities with both Spoon River Anthology and Our Town, but Under Milk Wood contains more humor and really a more complete picture of the people and the subject town than either of those. I strongly recommend it.

A little piece of poetic history.
On November 7th, Dylan Thomas collapsed in his hotel room. On the 9th, he died. This was only a few days after the final performance of "Under Milk Wood", a special play with no acting but voices, the sort of work Thomas believed would replace the poetic impulse he feared had dried up. Although believed by many to be unfinished, "Under Milk Wood" seems perfect as it is. A journey through the events of a single day in a small town, "Under Milk Wood" is a must for Dylan Thomas fans, but also would be appreciated by fans of Garrison Keillor and other radio-storytellers. The written text cannot compare with the lively, laughter-ridden performance. Listen to the real thing, and you will, as Dylan Thomas instructed his actors, "love the words."

Dull...
Unfortunately, this book simply isn't very well written... it reads like an 8th grader's English homework. The interviewees don't really shed any light on Microsoft, and their stories are so lacking in detail as to be pointless. Read "Gates" for a far better treatment of the topic.

Does what it says
I picked this book up and I think that it is very good. I started reading it right after finishing up a book on Linus Torvalds the creator of Linux. Thus this is almost the flip side of that coin, showing how Microsoft became. One thing that surprised me was that Bill Gates was not one of the main focuses of this particular book, though he is mentioned quite frequently. Rather it shows some of the others responsible for possibly the most successful computer company ever. This is not all just programmers either, but a good selection of people from various different aspects of the microsoft realm.

First Generation: A wonderful example to today's society.
Tsang's book, Microsoft: First Generation, display's a great example to today's society, and generation. The book focuses on 12 key members of Microsoft in it's earliest stages, which, in a way, helped create the infrastructure of the company. The interviews show how all 12 ex-ms employees ended up where they were, and what it took to be successful. I applaud Mrs. Tsang for her hard work. I recommend this book to anyone interested in business, or Microsoft itself.

NEEDES MORE MATERIAL TO BE PUBLISED ON THE TECHIENCAL,STRUCTURE AND ENVIREMINTAL CONCEPT

An Insider's Look at "Glass Houses"
As a young entrepreneur in the late 80's, I was directed to May Woods' book as a source for researching my newest endeavor - designing and fabricating conservatories for the North American market. A builder, by trade, I was looking for a new venue in the construction arena. Until reading Ms Woods' book, I was only interested in the structural aspect and marketability of these beautiful glass facilities. I was so impressed by the historical background, personal insight and the obvious love of conservatories presented by Ms. Woods through her print media, that I took steps to arrange a meeting with her during a planned trip to London. Through a fellow conservatory design, who was a personal friend of Ms Woods', I was able to meet with the authoress. Her background in the "inner workings" of conservatories and her experiences as a conservatory owner in London helped me discover the most important aspect of conservatory designing - the ambiance of conservatory living. "Glass Houses" is the first book I recommend to my clients when they have questions regarding their desire to own a conservatory and what to do with it once they have it. More than just pictures, structural drawings and technical garble, it can serve as a terrific research tool when you are considering conservatory ownership.

Colorful, but general
This book is designed to be an introduction to the technology of warfare in ancient times, for young readers. It covers everything from sticks and stones to Roman siege artillery, with many colorful pictures. Although it is too general and lacking in details to be useful for any school project, it's colorful presentation is bound to please youngsters.

I give this book a guarded recommendation.

I prefer 1000 most important words.
This is the vocab book we used for my SSAT-prep class. It is grouped into 25 units, each with 8 roots and 1 latin section, each root has 4 words based on that root, total 40 words each section. After every two roots is a practice section, after every unit is a practice section for the unit.

This is good for test takers.

I gave it 4 stars because a book named " 1000 most important words", I think, is a lot better than this. The second book is funnier, much smaller(Webster is a very big pocket size book, hard to put in pocket), and words are listed A-Z. "1000 words" is special made for taking tests, so it doesn't have all the practices, but I think that another reason why it's better. For a person trying to learn more words, to have better writting and speaking skills, I think "1000 most important words"(available on Amazon), is better. For test, Webster's

Painless way to learn
This is something that can be read from cover to cover. It lacks the boring humdrum that most other Vocabulary building books inevitably contain. Author Mary Wood Cornog uses a very successful method; she defines, in understandable language, Latin roots that make up most of the English language. Knowing these Latin roots simplifies the English language to an undescribable degree. With self-tests at the end of each section, this book is also interactive. I was surprised at how many words I understood after reading this book.

An Excellent way to improve vocabulary and learning skills.
I have not attended college yet and needed a book to improve my vocabulary. I decided to buy this book and it is excellent. It includes quizzes and interesting information on the words and roots of words. It is also small, versatile, and a neat green color that is nice to look at. I have gone through the whole book, but have not had a chance to really absorb it, but I think after I have done so I will be able to really understand more and express myself in a whole new perspective. Thank you Marriam. Sincerely, Dusin Whitaker
