This is a collection of ten-years worth of letters that illuminate the amazing loyalty of Wolfe's editor Edward Aswell and biographer & literary agent Elizabeth Nowell. Though book sounds academic, letters give a lively, personal, very human look at the two writers & at Wolfe & his family, including some never-before-published information. Both Aswell & Nowell died in 1958 within months of Nowell's completion of biography. Book edited by their daughters.

If you have not been near a Biology syllabus in a while, this is the book for you. The authors do not assume that you know everything. The chapters cover all the major topics (the only supplementation you may need is diagrams such as those of plants). I found that the practice tests could have been better structured because the Ecology tests are separated from the Molecular tests without the common core section that's used in the actual exam. All in all, a good book - using this book alone I earned a score of 660!

Don't be fooled by the word "kundalini" in the title. Yes, Tom Wolfe had some mind-expanding experiences (as a result of playing around with a biofeedback machine) but not a true kundalini awakening. If he had, he wouldn't have written this self-indulgent, new age diatribe that doesn't contain a single word of spiritual understanding. It's just a diary about the ego of Tom Wolfe and his pseudo-science explanations that are clearly more the result of his unbridled enthusiasm than actual understanding.

Stick with Gopi Krishna, Vivekananda, Sivandanda and similar yogic masters.
