If you play the piano - and it doesn't have to be professionally - but just for your own amusement, this book is for you. The arrangements are excellent and not too hard to play. But what I like best are the little details and background material that is included with each song. So interesting.

This series should reshape the canon in a number of significant areas. William Sheidley and Simon McKeown conduct their ambitious study with unflagging energy, great enthusiasm, and immense erudition. An intelligent and authoritative text, this is indeed a splendid and imaginative project.

Being a sucker for great dog stories is a difficult task. Simon the Pointer moves Jock of the Bushvelt to number two on my list of great dog stories. An elegant 20 minute read that will leave you at best misty eyed and at worst blubbering. Illustrated with wonderful line drawings. I ordered this on a whim and ended up ordering more copies for gifts. Just a great all around dog story.
