This is a classic text for child and youth care proffessionals. The book provides both the new and established milieu staff with the skills needed to provide a healthy and productive "other 23 hours outside the therapy meeting." This book should be required reading for all people who work with children. The central theme is to provide a milieu (an enviorment rich in theraputic exchanges) that meet the developmental needs of troubled children. Every chapter proivdes practical activities and methods. This is the type of book you need to read every year to refresh your mission. Every time you read this book, you will learn a new "gem." It is the best book ever written about the management of troubled child.

A good reference for chemistry related courses.
For students doing first or second year chemistry, they may often find themselves overwhelmed by tonnes of equations from different aspects of physical chemistry. Understanding a concept and memorizing equations for closed book exam is two different things. To make life easier, especially for examination preparation, it's good to make a brief note from text or leture notes. However, it's very time consuming. Why not look for a shortcut and get focus on essential stuffs? This title covers many of the core subjects in undergraduate chemistry course. As a chemical engineering student, I also found it very handy when I came across some fundamental concepts later in my course, for example like thermodynamics and electrochemistry. It presents abstract ideas into simplicity, essential concepts and equations are well defined. For students who want to learn ahead, this book also helps to understand the scope of each topic. If you want to build up a good foundation of physical chemistry, beside the prescribed texts, there is no substitute.

Great story
Four in Hand was the first Stephanie Laurens story I had ever read. I absolutely loved it. The duet was worth buying just for her story alone. The interaction between the four sisters and there hoped for spouses was very well written. Their prospective husbands were completely head-over-heels in love, but didn't know how to handle it at all. A witty and delightful Regency romance to read (although I am not too sure that four debutantes would be unchaperoned as they were at the ending). I'm completely hooked on Stephanie Laurens. I also thoroughly enjoyed A Promise to Return by Gail Whitiker.

An informative, engagin, painstaking theatrical history.
Setting The Stage: Montreal Theatre 1920-1949 surveys Montreal's theatrical cultures and the part they played in the development of Canadian theatre. In this meticulous history Herbert Whittaker (one of Canada's foremost theatre critics) recreates the vibrancy of the Montreal theatre scene in the 1930s and 1940s, offering vivid portraits of actors, directors, producers, and highlighting the enriching interaction and tensions between francophone and anglophone artists at a time when both were struggling to establish a professional theatre presence. Setting The Stage is an informative, engaging, painstaking contribution to Canada's theatrical history and a highly recommended addition to academic and professional theatre reference collections.

Small firms and human beings
This is a very rich account of the role of Japanese small firms in the economy at large and in the lives of the people who make them work. Mr. Whittaker obviously understands much both about Japan and about human motivation. The focus on the latter will very much help anyone seeking to make cross-border comparisons. (There are a few portions the general reader will want to skip over, and so he/she should do just that.)

The Rabbits do celebrate life!
Hops and Plana play together in the spring when they are just little bunnies, but the next spring they are playing together in a slightly different fashion.Felix Salten has a wonderful sense of nature and tells his animal stories in a truly sincere fashion. The rabbits celebrate life-and there are many rabbits who survive dangers like hunters, captivity and predators-and,as in life,a few who do not survive.Hops is the only survivor, in fact,of a litter of rabbits.(Read the story to learn why this is so.)There are cameos by Bambi and Faline.Gobo is even mentioned. It is easy to see why Salten's animal stories can be loved by children and adults.
One of the best
Although Fifteen Rabbits is, in short, about a bunch of rabbits hangin around in the forest, it is still one of the best books I have ever read. It isn't just a cutesie bunny-rabbit-frolicking-in-the beautiful forest-type book, either. In fact, a lot of the scenes are too complex or disturbing for young children to read. This ain't the Disney version of Bambi, folks.
In Fifteen Rabbits, we learn about all of the adventures that our two good rabbit friends Hops and Plana (think Bambi and Faline) get into. Salten has once again marvelously written a novel that is supposedly for children, but can actually be more well-appreciated by adults. I cried so much over little Epi's death. The scenes are so sorrowful that you actually think that you are losing one of your good friends. :-)
PLEASE go out and read Fifteen Rabbits. Although I've never figured out why Salten gave his book that title, it will still be one of the very very best books you will ever read!!
A must read for anyone who enjoyed BAMBI
If you loved the story of Bambi, you will also enjoy this book about the lives of a small group of rabbits. This was written in much the same vein as Bambi, so expect some sorrowful scenes as well as wonderful uplifting scenes. Well worth the effort to find! I still have my copy from 1981 if that tells you anything!!
Optional Wealth

This Integrated Strategy Works
Having taught Finance at various schools, I found this book refreshingly straightforward for a topic most of my students find complex. Unlike a lot of the text type books on this topic (which are also good for technical analyst types), the authors have captured and synthesized a very clear strategy which works.
The incorporation of LEAP's which were introduced in the early 1990's and training on the language of options which I find many brokers do not understand, makes this volume unique.
I recently began recieving the fax service which provides real time reccomendations and ongoing guidance for all positions. So far I have achieved results beyond what I used to achieve with my regular equity positions.
I would reccomend this book for those that are new to options as well as those who have some years of experience. I have found it a small investment that pays for itself many times over.

Now Optional Wealth is no option.
I have read several books on option trading and this is by far the best. It is well written, easy to understand and backed up by success. This is a "must have" book for those interested in improving their financial situation. Of particular interest is the fact that they offer a reasonably priced research service for those who do not have the time or inclination to do their own research. Most "how to" books leave you to your own designs after you finish the book, but not this one.
I am going to retire on this strategy
I bought this book a year and a half ago and have made over $100,000.00 following the strategies. I am now planning on retiring within the next 6 months to do this full time. My friends and family have bought enough books entitling me to receive the fax service for free since I started this type of trading. And now that the book is available at Amazon.com, you too, can aquire it. I hope you all take a risk and enjoy the rewards as I do with my new cadi. Have a wonderful life.
