Not only for beginning writers!
This is a great book for young artists! The great picture prompts are wonderful suggestions for a child to create funny or realistic masterpieces.A good example may be the double page where the child is invited to draw a real scary animal and an invented one.
I think that most kids who love drawing and crayoning wuold find this workbook perfect, even if they are not absolute beginners in the art of writing.

A very cute book.
I was rummaging through some old boxes, and I came upon this book. I sat down, and read it, and was very surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It has the kindness and warmth of Seasame Street books, with the wonderful characters places from the Muppets. Who can resist Miss Piggy? If you can find it, I would suggest getting it for your young child, or just reading it to yourself for fun.

Gives A Great Moral
This story is a great one because it tells children how they can have more then one best friend and I know every little kid is going to go through this one time in their life and I think if it ever happened to them then they should have this book read to them so that they will understand what they can do to make their friendship the way it was, I reccomend this book to anyone of any age because it is very cute and it states a good point.

Another great book from Fisher Price
This peek a boo book is perfect reading for our baby. She loves the game peek a boo at this age and this book is perfect for her. She loves to turn the mirror around and see the "other" baby.

El Dorado Rocks
El Dorado, the movie has wonderful graphics and wonderful characters. The book is no different. Colorful pictures and the storyline get you lost in Mexico. Good character interactions and good lines. The plot falls a bit short of what I expected but still a good book.

Grab A Snowbear
My 10-month-old daughter loves this book, and so do I. The cloth pockets that allow you to place the little, stuffed Snowbear (attached to the book with a ribbon, of course) in the different scenarios are ingenious. Skye will sit on the floor with this book for long periods of time playing with Snowbear, and squeals with delight when we read the story together. One of my favorite things about the Bear In The Big Blue House board book series is that pictures of the actual characters are placed in colorful environments, which facilitate recognition. Skye and I both give it 5 stars.

A novelty that hasn't worn off
We bought this, assuming it would be a gimicky book that would give our toddler son a lot of pleasure for a short time and then be discarded. The pleasure has turned out to be extended beyond what we thought possible. This little book has quite charming text but hasn't been a read aloud hit with our son. He has been enthralled with the glow in the dark pages, however. We used to just turn them and talk about what he could see. Now that he is almost 2, we no longer "charge" the book. We just turn off the lights and let him loose with the torch. He loves making the "magic pictures" come alive piece by piece with well aimed whisks of his magic torch. It is a lovely activity for winding down before sleep. While our toddler isn't afraid of the dark yet, I can imagine that this book might make the issue of "turning down the lights" a bit more fun and a bit less threatening. A surprising hit!

Great sleepy-time book for Bear in the Big Blue House fans!
We got this book for our 2 1/2 yr. old son to take to bed with him because it glows in the dark. :) We "charge it up" under a table lamp while getting ready for bed time, read it to him & then give it to him to "read" while he is in bed. It's a great book & it's fun to look for the "hidden" things that only appear when they are "glowing in the dark". :) A great gift for any boy or girl.

It's Like Two For the Price of One!
My two-year-old really enjoys this book and other "Bear" books which have that glow-in-the-dark feature. After reading the book to him under regular lit conditions, we stick the pages under a lamp (or use a flashlight) to illuminate them, then shut the lights for him to enjoy it "glow in the dark" style. It's almost like getting two books in one. He's had it for well over a year and seems to enjoy it even more now. I'd recommend this.
