The heart of the matter....
I love this book. The two card spread gives you the heart of the celtic cross. I will be using this spread as a daily read for myself and to help myself learn the cards more in depth. I like the way the descriptions were done in this book. Readers will find the descriptions filled with symbolism from the cards, which again is helpful because you begin to look more closely at your cards and pull that symbolism in for yourself. They use the Rider-Waite deck and the Robin Wood deck. Both beautiful decks.

Refreshingly simple!!!!
I love this book. It is simple and gets to the heart of the matter in seconds. Great for innerwork. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

The Novice Perspective
I found "The Heart of the Tarot" one of the best I've read on the tarot. It was easy to read, very comprehensive and enlightening. It gave me a quick but indepth approach to working with the cards.

Way more interesting than the course
This book helped me pass my exam! The course is so boring and very dull, but this book uses everyday situations to explain the concepts. Marc Lieberman is a professor at my school and I wish I had him as a professor because all of the students who did have him said that his class is awesome. So if his class is awesome, his book has got to be awesome...right?

This book uses alot graphics and colors, which makes it more fun to read. This the exactly how I would want to be taught economics. There is also a little humor in the book too, which makes it even more fun. So for those students who are taking economics or are going economics, this book helps ALOT. It covers the basics very well.

Make sure you buy the most updated edition though. This book was just updated last year, so beware of those 1st edition books because they're old.

Superb textbook
Easy and fun to use. Excellent blend of academia and real-life examples. Charts, graphs, and illustrations were colorful and easy to understand. Also, authors Hall and Liberman provide readers access to their macroecon website for additional study. I used this text at the postgraduate level - great for undergrads, too.

excellent for review
In this study guide, Hall and Lieberman provide an excellent accompaniment to their brilliant text. All the exercises are very clear, as is the answer key, which gives one the opportunity to see where one went wrong in a particular concept. The scope of the study guide is exactly the same as that of the book. Basically, if you can do everything in the guide, you have mastered their concepts.

The Modern Gaelic-English Dictionary: Specially Recommended for Learners, Containing Pronunciation, Irregular Verb Tables, Grammatical Information, Examples of Idiomatic Usage (Gairm (Series), Leabhar 108.)

up-to-date but not comprehensive
This dictionary is strong where Dwelly's is weak and weak where Dwelly's is strong. It is, as far as I know, the only Gaelic-English dictionary that uses the new orthography for Gaelic. However, it is fairly slim and thus not comprehensive. However, I should think that this has everything that a beginning or intermediate learner of Gaelic would ever need. Combined with Thomson's English-Gaelic dictionary the learner will be quite well supplied with up-to-date Gaelic references.

very useful Gaelic Dictionary
Since this is only Gaelic to English, its not for a complete newbie. You need a little working knowledge of the language, it is also not a complete version, rather a thin, handy size. I found many words in it not in others such and MacLennans.

I think is super companion piece.

Evidence that anyone can do well investing in real estate
This is a well written book. I happen to live in the city where this lady bought these houses. It is a great example of a well written "how to" book for anyone interested in wealth creation through residential real estate. Of particular interest is the fact that this was done in Canada! Canadians are typically less entrepreneurial than Americans, which means there could be more opportunity for Canadians when it comes to real estate investing. I would recommend this book to anyone who is buying residential, revenue real estate. Many good examples of creative financing that actually took place. Worth the money.

Joseph Thomson and the Exploration of Africa
Published in Textbook Binding by Oxford University Press (1971)
Author: Robert I. Rotberg
Amazon base price: $10.00
Average review score:

Joseph Thomson
Of all the great Victorian era African explorers, Thomson is probably the least feted considering his immense capacity for travel and endeavour. Paradoxical perhaps, as the gazelle most often predated on in literally thousands of wildlife documentaries featuring the central African plain bears his name. It is however unlikely, as this book readily demonstrates, that fame and fortune formed the basis of his motivations. He had a voracious appetite for the new and appears to have simply enjoyed the company of others and the pure excitement of seeking them out. He is feted in circles that know him as being a compassionate man, and one of the few of the traditional African explorers who actually respected those that he met on his many trips - he never fired a shot in anger, or as more often was the case, in contempt.

Rotberg's book is a meticulously researched biopic. His attention to detail and evident respect for his subject shine through the text and can't fail to infect the reader with an enthusiam for finding out more about this remarkable man.

The Oral History Reader

use it as a text book!
The essays on the public history aspects of oral history usage are a must read!

I hope that professors use this as a text book for an oral history class. I encourage them to allow students to pick from the various articles according to their particular interests. Perhaps a professor could require short papers in response to a few of the essays.

Mexican Translation
I found almost all the translation using mexican or centralamerican language, so is kinda difficult to understand in the real spanish language. In my oppinion, the readers must have close at hand, a spanish diccionary to understand most of the words.
