I love, love, love these books. "Search for Sam" was my favorite, but there were three others: Hunt for Hector, Find Freddie, and Look for Lisa. My sister and I used to look at them when we were little, and we adored them. We still do. Recently, we got an urge to look at them, and went through boxes of our kid books in the basement, but couldn't find them. We think we got rid of them, at a yard sale or something. Fortunately, we bought a copy of Find Freddie at a yard sale, but that's it. Anyway, these are really great books. If you have a copy, hang onto it for your children!

I wish this book and others like it in the series were not out of print. My 3 children spend hours looking at them and this is an activity that I participate in with them. These aren't just where's waldo type books. On any page you can look for 40+ things. I also liked the fact they were relatively inexpensive fun.

I really love this book. Every time my daughters asked me to make a drawing of an animal, I would come up with a "kindergarden look kind of drawing". With this book, I have been able to draw animals that really look neat and realistic, and the steps are extremely simple to follow. I bought some other drawing books, but even though the drawings are more sophisticated, the instructions and steps are much more complicated. I think, on its kind, its a great book, very easy to follow, and with very rewarding results.

Excellent resource for teaching children the basic steps of drawing. All the books in this series are simple to follow and allow children to explore their drawing skills. Children will be in awe at the pictures they can draw with the simple step by step instructions. Excellent for the budding artist to be.

I'm logging on to buy a second copy of this great children's book. My kids literally have worn it out they've enjoyed it so much. The simple drawings are easy on the eyes and the lift up flaps provide surprises on every page for eager toddlers. Both my girls loved this as toddlers, especially when they were learning new words.

As an elementary school art teacher I love to see my students pick up these books from the library to reinforce the drawing skills that I am teaching them. The step-by-step instructions teach kids how to put lines and shapes together to create these drawings and then they use the skills to create their own.
