Excellent anthology of the paranormal
"Magic in the Wind" by Christine Feehan. Military defense systems expert Damon hides from the threats to his life. In his new town, he hears strange whispers about his neighbor Sarah, her "sisters" and their otherworldly powers. Damon and Sarah instantly fall in love with one another. When his adversaries find him, Damon and Sarah try to keep each other safe. This strong story needs novels starring Sarah's siblings.

"Hot August Moon" by Katherine Sutcliffe. FBI profiler Anna uses her psychic skills to locate killers. She investigates the mutilation murders of a friend and her two children under the direction of district attorney Jerry, who once broke her heart. This gory tale is for those who enjoy explicit mutilation scenes with unanswered questions.

"After Midnight" by Fiona Brand. In New Zealand, the rape murder has left everyone frightened especially recently widowed Jane since her farm is isolated. She avoids her nearest neighbor Michael because she feels guilty that she desired him while her spouse was dying. Michael wants her too, but first must deal with being the prime suspect. This is a strong romantic investigative tale tat showcases the talent of this fine author.

"Only Human" by Eileen Wilks. Chinese-American detective Lily investigates a murder that appears to be the work of a werewolf. To infiltrate the clans, Lily enlists the help of werewolf Rule though she detests the species. Soon they fall in love, but first they must weed out the rogue killer.

The novellas are well written and because the stories are so different this anthology will appeal to a wide variety of tastes.

It's B-A-D!
This may not be the worst book that I've ever mistakenly bought, but it comes close. I understand the concept of "willing suspension of disbelief," but Sutcliffe writes a book that bears no relation to reality. Both the plot and the characters are unbelievable and there was no editing. On one page the grandmother is described as 60 years old; on the next page she's 80. I too felt that I had aged while reading the book, but hopefully not that much. The duke uses phrases such as "Oh my gosh!" There is no way that people of this place and time would behave as Sutcliffe portrays; this is surely the worst of her books.

Please do NOT read this book
I've read hundreds of romance novels, and come across many bad ones. And this book ranks amoung the worst. It starts out promisingly. Interesting idea and all. But it just drones on and on. I began to hate all the characters. I just couldn't understand why she liked him, and kept on loving him, even though he was a huge jerk, and passing her onto his brother. Yuck. I read Sutcliffe's book "Once A Hero" which also has a twin twist. It was definetly not one of my favorites, but it is much better then this one. I just kept waiting for the book to get better, for it to redeem itself in some way. Not to give it all away, but you find out in the Prologue that she finds out the deceit- the story then jumps back 3 months. When the book finally drags up to that point again, it finishes in about 10 pages. I wish Sutcliffe and spared us all and finished the book 10 pages after the Prologue. The stuff inbetween was just fluff.

One of my most favorite romance novels!!!
I absolutely loved this book! I thought it was the perfect fairy tale and very romantic. I have read it at least 10 times and will never tire of it. Let me also say, I LOVE the dress in the picture!!!...just had to put that in. :o)

Awful
Not what I expected. The first story by Sutcliffe was more like The Grapes of Wrath or something, rather than a romance. I tried reading the other 3, but I could not finish them. I read a lot of romance novels, and just could not get into these stories.

A fun Anthology of romantic stories
This fun to read anthology centers around secret loves that need help if they are ever tocome out into the open.

Joey Norton is back in jail, thinking about his secret love, Camille Phillips, who has always exceeded his heart's grasp. It will take a miracle for this jailbird and his reserved princess to learn about and return his love. "Primrose Lane" by Katherine Sutcliffe is a touching opening act.

In Rachel Lee's "A Secret Cupid", Minster Michael St. John loves his secretary, but is concerned that Ruth will misconstrue any bold actions on his part. Instead, he sits idly by until she begins to get flowers from another secret admirer. Ms. Lee's short story is great reading fun from a dynamite storyteller.

Writer Judd Blackburn has become a very popular novelist, who always dedicates his books as follows: "For C. Who Changed My Life". Though he has not seen her for the past decade, Judd still secretly loves his former teacher, Caroline Lassiter. When they meet for the first time in ten years, sparks fly. However, before any permanent relationship can happen, both have secrets that must be revealed. Talented Kate Freiman brilliantly shows that love has no age barrier.

Mystery writer Sherry Lewis demonstrates her wide range of talent with "Send Me No Flowers", a fabulous way to finish this beautiful collection. David Randolph always hid his love for Shawna Wells for fear of destroying their friendship. When Shawna obtains a divorce, David anonymously sends her words of love. However, Shawna is irate with his ruse, thereby seemingly dooming this secret love to remain unrequited unless a miracle occurs.

Move over Doris Day and Howard Keel for SECRET VALENTINES, a well written short story collection that will not remain secret too long because readers will realize that the book is a Valentine Day treasure for romance fans.
