Great view into the world of ATC, but out-of-date
This book was a great introduction to the world of ATC, how controllers see traffic, and how they interact with pilots. Good tips on how to help controllers help you (and how not to seem like a fool). My only complaint is that it's out of date (it predates the switch to Class A,B,C,D,E,G airspace), which detracts from a few chapters. The author notes that the book will need to be updated "soon", but this apparently never happened.

Great for beginner pilots!
I am a beginner pilot and I found John's book to be very helpful in demistifying the air traffic control system. It gives great explaination of the system and what the jobs and concerns are of the folks who work in the system. I highly recommend this book to all pilots, especially beginners.

An innovative approach
This book offers a new path to introduce us in macroeconomic studies, quite innovative if we compare to its congenerous, however very focused on rational expectations contribuitions. The authors suggests we must priorize our comprehension about the long term economic flutuactons, in opposite of the traditional ones, which dedicate the last pages to develop these subjects; in Hall & Talylor's book, the reader is introduced to the basics frameworks and modern theories soon in the firsts chapters. So, the natural consequence of their proposal is the loss of the primacy of Hicks's IS-LM model - as a basic framework tradionaly adopted as necessary to understanding the macroeconomics fundamentals - to the contemporaries economics growth theories, enriching it with many "real world" examples about its approaches. The only restriction I do is the negligence, or a little more emphasis, on other kind of approaches in macroeconomic thought (the post-keynesians contribuitions, for example), causing us the sensation that the macroeconomics reality is restricted to rational expectations workings. For an approach which priorize the evolution of the schools of macroeconomics thought, I recomend the Froyen's book. In spite of that, is an excellent introduction to macroeconomic theory.

Makes studying economics easy! Thumbs up!
This book is well organized to help student learn macroeconomics. It has the best utilization of pedagogical features (not just graphs, captions and colors) I've ever seen. I found key term call-outs, section reviews, and keypoint outlines to be the most helpful. I appreciate the efforts of reducing the amount of reading necessary to understand the concepts.
If you are not a lazy student, you will have lots of case studies, news analysis, econ puzzles, and biographies to broaden your breath. All these features are well organized so that you can read efficiently, thanks to the ingenious layouts.
I am actually here to look for other books by Mr. Taylor to support my current textbooks.

Dillinger, The Hidden Truth
I purchased a copy of Tony Stewart's new book Dillinger, The Hidden Truth and can't put it down! The book has tons of new facts and even has a complete reference section on outlaws and lawmen of the nineteen twenties and thirties. Truly Fasinating! As a historian on American history for years, I find the book to be very accurate and detailed on events, places, dates and people. Anything and everything you want to know about the criminals of this era is all here. The book gets into the early criminal careers of outlaws like John Dillinger, Harry Pierpont, Charley Makley, Russell Clark, Baby Face Nelson, Pretty Boy Floyd, Bonnie and Clyde, Karpis/Barker gang and several others. This is truly a historical book. I give Mr. Stewart's book 5 Stars for accuracy and detail. The book is listed number 5 on the Best Sellers list ... and I believe will soon reach number one! Buy a copy, and learn the truth behind all the cover-ups hidden for years.

BUY THIS BOOK! Read what Top Notch Historians are saying!
As a historian myself, I strongly recommend this book. I've read it twice now and still find it fascinating! You can't always believe reviews of those who comdemn books about outlaws of the past who probably burn any books written about outlaws. However you can believe Qualified Authors and Historians who would only put their names on books they believe in. I agree with the responses written by the people who know best. The ones who hasve done the actual research and written about these events. Please read what these authorities of American history have written about Tony Stewart and his amazing book Dillinger, The Hidden Truth. Below is a list of recommendations taken off the cover of Dillinger, The Hidden Truth.

"Tony Stewart's book 'Dillinger, The Hidden Truth' captures that shoot-em-up era to a 'T.' With the ever-growing library dealing with the '20s and '30s' gangster era, Stewart's book is another tasty dish on that splashy wine and blood splattered dinner table." (Tom Hollatz - Gangster Holidays--the Lore and Legend of the Bad Guys).
Tony Stewart's dedicated fascination with John Dillinger and other infamous gangsters from the 1920s and 1930s is finally revealed in "Dillinger, The Hidden Truth." (Robert Livesey - author of On the Rock).
Tony Stewart uncovers the "Hidden Truth" behind the Dillinger legend in this blazing ride through America's golden age of bank robbers. (Jim Adams - City Editor of the New Hampshire Sunday News).
When it comes to John Dillinger, author Tony Stewart strives to -tell it like it is! "Dillinger - The Hidden Truth," presents this dapper 1930's outlaw, as you've never really known him. This is a must read book! (Frank R. Ballinger - Bonnie & Clyde's Hideout Website).
"Finally we have a factual and engaging story of Dillinger¹s life, refreshingly devoid of the fantasy, bias and sentimentality of previous accounts." (Alston Purvis - Boston University).
If you read only one book this year, make it " Dillinger, The Hidden Truth." Tony Stewart presents an exciting new look at the bank robber's career and those who attempted, by any means, to "Get Dillinger." (Bill Hanson - author of "Closely Guarded Secrets" and "Mystery Florida.")
Read for the first time, Tony Stewart's well-researched book that uncovers the hidden truth in the annuals of the Gangster era that the FBI and J.Edgar Hoover didn't want the public too know. (Jeffrey Maycroft; Historical Consultant, Public Enemies Almanac).
J. Edgar Hoover ignored the Mafia to ruthlessly exterminate easier targets--celebrity bandits like Dillinger, Pretty Boy Floyd, and Bonnie and Clyde--check out Tony Stewart's Dillinger, the Hidden Truth. Moves with the fast pace of a stolen Ford V8 to the staccato bark of a Tommy gun! (Rick Mattix - co-author, Public Enemies, America's Criminal Past, 1919-1940 and Thompson, the American Legend: The First Submachine Gun).
In this new work John Dillinger is researched to the insight never before researched. I have a lot of respect for anyone who takes the time, patience, and discipline to research and then write a book on any subject, let alone a subject as complicated as the life of John Dillinger. This new insight and information that Mr. Stewart has written is a refreshing and new look at the famous John Dillinger. This is recommended reading, before the lights go out on the final chapter of John Dillinger. This is the final chapter.(Gordon Herigstad -author of Colt Thompson Serial Numbers).
I applaud Mr. Stewart and HIGHLY RECOMMEND his new book Dillinger, The Hidden Truth. It is 515 pages of of fascinating updated events that were build on a foundation of facts. I love this book and added it to my collection. Thank you

The authors of this book have made two big mistakes
1. The Colombian writer and Nobel Prize Gabriel García Márquez is repeatedly called along the book as Márquez. His family name as the authors should know is García Márquez.

2. In the same way the authors use Columbia, or Columbian when speaking of Colombia.

A gripping glimpse of the cricket playing Caribbean
This is the book which truly gives the reader a feeling of the "cricket playing Caribbean" a term the editors borrowed from Guyanese-born professor Gordon Rohlehr. Editors Stewart Brown and John Wickham have expanded the borders the Caribbean by including two writers from Suriname, a writer from Panama and Gabriel Garcia Marquez from Colombia. Marquez described himself as a Caribbean writer in a collection of interviews he did for a book entitled The Fragrance of Guava. There are also stories from Cuba, and Puerto Rico. The book begins with a wonderfully symbolic story by Barbadian writer Frank Collymore entitled "Some People Were Meant to Live Alone." In this story, a young man visits his eccentric uncle who may have been a murderer. In the end, the young man becomes a recluse himself. The philosophical question of whether or not we are meant to be alone or in the company of others applies, in many ways, to the individual islands of the Caribbean. The editors say they purposely began their anthology with the story because Collymore is considered by many to be the father of modern Caribbean literature. The book ends with "Nineteen Thirty-Seven", a story by young Haitian writer Edwidge Danticat. This story of a daughter visiting her mother who has been imprisoned wrongfully by the Haitian government because traitors have named her as a practitioner of voodoo, is also symbolic because it shows us how superstition often rules these islands. It also shows us how the literary torch is being passed on to a new generation of writers. In between these two stories are a delightful offering of stories which capture the fine nuances of life in the Caribbean. No other book I've read so far, deals better with the relationship between males and females, a giddy game of posturing and submission which is sometimes tragic and sometimes humourous.

A fine entry into short-form Caribbean Literature
Sadly, this was to be John Wickham's last contribution to West Indian literature, as one of the region's finest writers and editors died in 2000. Indeed, the reader owes a debt of gratitude to Wickham for his discerning eye and vast knowledge of Caribbean writers and writing shine through in this book. But we have this fine gift to cherish in his memory and in honour of the rich and diverse tradition and innovation that is Caribbean writing. As much as are Wickham's own short stories, this anthology is striking in its range, readability and resonance. And as the Caribbean consciousness has transcended cultural and strict geopolitical lines over the last century, the range of offerings in this book has also grown from what it would have delivered had it come out a few decades earlier. This book embraces Haiti, Colombia as much as the Anglophone Caribbean. An essential collection of short story writing in English and as delicious a slice of the West Indian civilization as you're likely to find anywhere.

Death by fire!
Another brilliant mystery by Michael Innes. His characters are wildly eccentric, incredibly erudite, and bizarre beyond all imagination! In this book, a mystery author, Priscilla Pringle, and a headmaster of a boys' school, Captain Bulkington, meet. They discuss collaborating on a book...or are they really collaborating to murder Sir Ambrose? John and Judith Appleby stumble on the scene, and solve the mystery. But wait? Was there really a crime? When you read this book closely, you will realise that even that question is not readily apparent.

Michael Innes is one of my favorite mystery authors. His books can be difficult to find, due to the lack of availability. Take advantage of e-shops, and buy them here. You won't be sorry. The New Sonia Wayward is the most famous, but this is as good an offering as you'll find, although my favorite so far is Hare Sitting Up.

Designing Women Stands Out
In a crowded field of interior design books, Designing Women stands out. Inspirational, informative and entertaining, Margaret Russell shows why she is considered the top interiors editor in the industry. Every weekend my wife and I add new design elements and decoration to our home all inspired by Ms. Russell and her book. I highly recommend Designing Women to anyone interested in interior design or just looking for the perfect gift.

Both Exciting and Exquisite
In addition to being a useful summary of current design trends, this book is simply one of the most beautiful interior design volumes produced in years.

We compliment Margaret Russell for her good taste and her clear, presentation, refreshingly uncluttered by hyperbole.

Ideas Galore.
When it comes to design books, the bridge between aspirational and practical is hard to cross because it usually doesn't exist. This book not only showcases great ideas, but sources them. It is inspirational (especially for women) in that you feel empowered to create a room of your own. It is beautifully photographed and well-written; each brilliant corner seems attainable. I loved the sources in the back, which lead readers on a variety of paths. Unlike other design books, this is luscious and useful at the same time. I highly recommend Margaret Russell's interpretation and explanation of how modern women live.

It is provocative...and it spells conspiracy.
This is a unique book. Unlike the authors of the voluminous books we are accustomed to on the subject of the Kennedy assassination, Stewart Galanor does not get bogged down in minutiae. He does not even propound a particular theory. What Galanor does is straightforwardly roll out the ABCs of the assassination. In a mere 120 pages, plus an additional 50-some pages of valuable documents, diagrams, photos and a witness list, Galanor covers the evidence in a clear and concise manner. It is provocative, and it spells conspiracy.

Francis Lederer, Chief County Detective (retired) of Philadelphia, said, "Although not a novel, COVER-UP is easy to read and understand. It provides much documentation which proves the author's point. COVER-UP should be required reading for freshman criminal justice majors."

I would extend COVER-UP as a "must read" for anyone interested in the Kennedy assassination. Whether new to the assassination, or long mired in details and evidence of the event, COVER-UP is both informative and a stimulus to further study.

Galanor sets the tone simply and eloquently by introducing the tragedy in pages filled with memory jogging photos and few words. He goes on to present the major areas of evidence in an encapsulated form that should make even life long believers of the official government version of the assassination decidedly uncomfortable. Galanor summarizes the official stance in each area and contrasts it with the conflicts and contradictions that are obvious at every turn.

Noted researcher, Dr. Gary Aguilar, wrote, "His amazing short section on Dealey Plaza witnesses may well be the best summation of this evidence in print." COVER-UP includes a list of 216 Dealey Plaza witnesses and their opinions on the origin of the shots with citations. Additional supplemental pages offer crystal clear copies of some of the most talked about photos, documents and official drawings.

While one might differ with Galanor's personal take on some of the evidence in any particular area, he demonstrates pointedly that the official lone nut assassin line is demonstrably at odds with available documented evidence.

If you are new to the assassination and looking for a concise compilation of the basics and the problems inherent in the offical line, this book is for you. If you are well versed in assassination evidence and details, this book offers a fresh perspective, documents details probably unknown to you, and nails areas ripe for further detailed study.

Galanor's comparison of the official conclusions versus evidence denied, omitted, ignored and concealed leaves no doubt that President Kennedy died as the result of a conspiracy and that our historical record of that tragedy was then suffocated to death in a COVER-UP.

The Best Summation Available
Galanor has accomplished a feat that most students of this case have thought was next to impossible: a concise account of the most basic aspects of the assassination of JFK that enables new students to understand most of the crucial issues and old hands to fully appreciate their fundamental importance. In some ways, this stunning feat might have been expected from an author whose earlier work made calculus--perhaps the most difficult of undergraduate courses--accessible to students with no flare for mathematics.

In my own book on this case, MURDER IN DEALEY PLAZA (2000), I provide a set of 16 "smoking guns", beginning with two drawn from Galanor's book; and at the conclusion of my "Prologue", I advise my readers to begin with COVER-UP (1998) before they read mine. So don't be taken in by the book's easy-to-read style or by the abundant photographs, diagrams, and illustrations that make this case accessible to everyone who can read. It takes experts years to master this material. Galanor makes it accessible in hours.

Cover-Up reveals the truth!
I was looking for a book that revealed the truth about the Kennedy assasination. I found it! Galanor has heavily researched the assasination and pieced all the facts together, so that things finally make sense! Galanor is like a police detective, interviewing witnesses, reviewing public documents, studying photographs and sworn testimony. By careful study of physical evidence and eye-witness testimony, piece by piece he determines what could have possibly happened that day in Dealy Plaza and what could not have happened. He packages his findings in an easily accessible format. You don't have to be an expert in pathology or ballistics to understand his book. In a mere 183 pages Galanor has given us a treasure trove of evidence. Very few people in this country still believe Lee Harvey Oswald had anything to do with JFK's murder. This book proves he was innocent. This book also proves that the federal government (The Warren Commission, The Secret Service, The CIA etc) engaged in a very extensive and far reaching conspiracy to cover up the truth about who really killed Kennedy. Physical Evidence was tampered with, eye-witness testimony was ignored or suppressed, witnesses were intimidated into changing their testimony, government officials gave false testimony and even when evidence was found that indicated the assasian could not have been Oswald it was simply ignored. This book stops short of accusing the federal government of planning Kennedy's assasination, however the physical evidence does seem to implicate them. If there were a fair and impartial investigation of Kennedy's death (instead of the horrible travesty of justice that occured in November 1963), several government employees would have been taken in for questioning, and almost certainly numerous arrests would have been made. This book is a must for anyone who wants to know the truth!
