One of the best Relationship books ever!
This is an excellent book by a true expert on relationships. While the author, Paul Stevens, isn't a psychologist, he writes from a Pastor's viewpoint as he taught hundreds of relationship classes and conducted counseling sessions for well over a decade. The approach in this book is conversational which personalizes the subject matter. Instead of humanistic concepts this book brings us a biblical approach regarding relationships. It is a great read for singles as well as for married couples. Another book that I highly recommend which is also powerful and talks about a proper self image and marital relationships on a biblical basis, is Dietmar Scherf's "I LOVE ME: Avoiding & Overcoming Depression."

God is in this book!
The Holy Spirit came upon me as I read this book and opened my eyes and heart to things I've never seen or knew before. The presence of God is in this book . . . this can be felt, experienced, like no other book I've ever read (aside from the Bible). I am relatively new to body of Christ. I am here to say that, I have sought God, with a certain degree of effort and intensity . . . and He has responded! Much of his response, on a subject I've been praying about, can be found in this book.
I highly recommend it.

LOVED IT!
I ABSOLUTELY loved this book and would recommend it to anyone. It is practical, resourceful and goes beyond the regular holding hands suggestions. The book addresses relationships from a Christian perspective and nicely balances what the Bible teaches with our own responsibility to improve our relationships.

I really enjoyed the book because it deals with subjects from a practical experiential point of view not just dry theology. This book has helped me privately, personally, and publically. Thank you very much!

Pack Your Bags and Get Over There!
The Lonely Planet guides are excellent for any locale..but this edition (covering Italy, Spain, Greece, France, Portugal and even Morocco) is a must-read for the quintessential backpacker jumping on a plane for Europa. These guides excel at recommending lodging of many price ranges (from youth hostels to 5-star hotels) and meal choices of the same range (excellent recommendation for outdoor markets.."buy a loaf of bread, a block of cheese and a bottle of wine here"..which is a plus as many guides catering to this area focus on only older travels with large budgets..or persons seeking to spend only a dollar a day or some insanity..it's always good to have the most information possible..and it's included here. Entertainments ideas from free plaza and park visiting to museums, discotechqes, architecture, boat rides etc. etc. are included..good for young and old. It even lists culture-sensitve information such as appropriate dress for visiting churches and monasteries as well as travel-safe tips for women. Book your Eurorail pass and get going.

Mediterranea Europe on a shoestring is quite fascinating!
Lonely Planet has great books and this one certainly was. It's very thorough and tells alot about things that interest travellers. They are up to date and tell you the pros and cons of the different countries. I liked it alot and I know that other people will too.

Wonderfully Illustrated!
This is a very enjoyable story retold with the most captivating illustrations. The vocabulary telling this story is wonderful and is a great book to read to the young and an excellent book for the early reader. Children will enjoy this enhanced version! This is not a book to miss.

fun with tall tales
Students are sure to enjoy this hilarious account of how many of our nation's wonders were created. This tall tale has been "spruced up" with a rich and colorful vocubulary, and is combined with illustrations that will keep the reader coming back for discovery time and time again. Steven Kellog's series of tall tales are invaluable in the classroom as students experience various literary elements such as: genre, author/illustrators, and theme related impressions.

Excellent book for exam, decent lab manual (seperate)
The book covers the exam blueprint, as well as outline basic security practices. I've heard a lot people state that this test is very basic. It is basic, however the information covered is quite broad. The book does a good job of explaining technologies and inner workings of security. I also used the accompaning lab manual, which was a little too easy, but a nice compliment to the book. Highly recommend if your getting into security or wish to take the Security+ exam.

Security+ Guide to Network Security Fundamentals
I thought this book went over every basic and advanced features of security. There was alot of usefull hands on labs and review questions. Defintly prepares you for the CompTIA Security+ Exam.

A lucid and comprehensive account of the war in Bosnia
I have read many books in which the authors attempt to account for the causes of the Bosnian conflict. The problem with these books is that the authors provide an oversimplified and shallow description of the war in Bosnia. This book however manages to give a thorough and in-depth analysis of the causes of the Bosnian conflict. In my opinion, the authors have managed to explain which political and social factors gave rise to the war in Bosnia. Giving a detailed historical background of the conflict, the authors allow the reader to gain an important insight into historical events that may have contributed to the enormous disparities among Muslims, Croats and Serbs. In addition, the involvement of Serbia and Croatia in the Bosnian war is thoroughly examined. There is ample evidence that Serbia and Croatia provided Bosnian Serbs and Croats with arms. Furthermore it is well known that Serbian forces committed a large majority of the war crimes in Bosnia. In conclusion, this book will help you gain a richer understanding of the Bosnian conflict. Strongly recommended.

The definitive work on Bosnia
Burg and Shoup's book will stand for some years as the definitive work on the Bosnian war and the missteps of international intervention there. It is a must read by anyone interested in what happened in that mountainous Balkan country.

This book is rather detailed and is not meant to be a 'quick read' for the casual reader. Instead, it uses a vast array of sources from the region as well as the Western press and interviews to make its case about the goals of the three sides as well as the desire of the 'West' to stay out of the conflict. Furthermore, it provides a much-needed and accessible overview of the various peace plans and maps which aimed at stopping the carnage in Bosnia.

It is an excellent book which sets a new standard for research on ethnic conflicts and international policy.

CD ROM
I am looking for a cd rom of thisbook, may be you can tell me if this cd exists? if yes how can I get it?
best regards Dr` Roman Korobochka MD

obstetrics,high-risk,maternal-fetal medicine
As a woman who has had a history of difficult pregnancies (including unexplained fetal demises), Williams Obstretrics was indispensable to me in my search for the causes of my missed abortions (late miscarriages). Many doctors feel the less patients know from firsthand sources (such as this book), the better it is. But for me, Williams Obstretrics answered many questions not only regarding my losses but also in my uncomplicated pregnancies. OBGYNs don't need to be told about this book; they swear by it. I think their patients should too.

Great book
Very informational and educational. Easy to read and not dull as expected.

An enlightening book destined to be of great interest
Professors Abramson and Pinkerton have done an admirable job analyzing human sexuality from a modern (i.e., multi-disciplinary) perspective. Their thoughtful presentation demonstrates great moral and intellectual courage. Consequently, I predict their book will be kindly received by thoughtful individuals well into the future. A hearty thanks to the authors for having written this ground-breaking book!

With 111 black-and-white, and 82 full color illustrations
Especially acclaimed for his memorable images, still lifes, and landscapes, Paul Cezanne was one of the most influential of the European artists in the early modernism movement. In Cezanne: The Self-Portraits, independent art historian Steven Platzman carefully and meticulously analyzes the stylistic development of Cezanne's self-portraits as a means of understanding how the artist saw himself, how he perceived others, and how he positions himself both in art communities and avant-garde society of mid-nineteenth century France. Platzman provides a new and compelling explanation for Cezanne's experiments with impressionism and the creation of his own far more personal and idiosyncratic style. With Platzman's informative, challenging, accessible text superbly being superbly presented and enhanced with 111 black-and-white, and 82 full color illustrations, Cezanne: The Self-Portraits is a welcome and invaluable contribution to personal, professional, and academic Art History collections in general, and Cezanne enthusiasts in particular.
