This is an outstanding children's book from my childhood. I can remember it being read on Captain Kangaroo. It has great illistrations and add to the story's delight.

Milton is a great dane (dog) who has wandered away and no one can find him. His owner has looked high and low. It is a sweet story about family and losing something very special. And most of all it is a story of new life and love. If I tell anymore I will spoil the story. (don't worry Milton is found and is just fine.)

It is a hard to find book but well worth the search. I enjoyed sharing something from my childhood with my own child.

In this exhaustive study, Dr. Dick traces the debate about other worlds, from it's origins among the atomists of ancient Greece, through Aristotle's apparent vanquishing of the idea, through medieval scholasticism, the Renaissance and finally into the eighteenth century. This was the era of natural philosophy, before the observational science of today was born. During this time, theoretical structures were created that allowed the existence of other world (and other Earths), or disallowed it, but the debate continued.

Indeed, I was surprised to learn that even during the medieval era, the discussion continued. In 1277, Etienne Tempier, the bishop of Paris, condemned the belief "that the First Cause cannot make many worlds." So, this book is a fascinating, if somewhat academic, look at the many worlds debate.

Although being an instructor and supposed to teach others how to dive, including dry suit diving, I've never had a dry suit diving course myself. Till I bought this book I've brought on my own experience - I thought I would have a guide that could break my self-taught bad habits.
Not so. This book gave me a lot about the history of the development of dry suits (which very much took place in my neighbourhood) and a lot about maintenance and caretaking of dry suits. These subjects deserve the three stars rating. But I still dive like I did before, as the useful tips of actual dry suit diving are scarce and should not be the reason for buing this book. Or, on second thoughts - isn't there more to dry suit diving than this?

We found this book very informative. In addition to teaching the aspects of dry suit diving, it also tells you how to maintain your equipment properly.
