Navigating the sea of Talmud w/R. Steinsaltz
The Talmud, Steinsaltz Edition Vol. 7 for Sanhedrin makes Judaism's great treasure of Halachah, Aggadah and Tradition both understandable and accessible in modern English to an audience not accustomed to the details of Talmudic learning.

Accepted as the authoritative basis for all subsequent codifications of Jewish law, the Talmud has been studied constantly by Jewish communities throughout the world. Yet, for most people, the complexity of the Talmud's Hebrew and Aramaic text and its logical structure was too difficult. Often, the Talmud's unique system of back and forth argumentation challenges even the experienced reader.

Now, Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz's Edition makes it possible for everyone to read the Talmud, because it's more than just a simple language translation. Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz becomes your personal instructor, guiding you through intricate paths of Talmudic logic and thought. His extensive introductions and commentaries clarify the text by providing all the background information needed to follow it.

It is a welcome addition to anyone attempting to navigate the sea of the Talmud.
