The Roman Empire was one of the most powerfull empires that the world has ever seen' and it ruled the civilized world for several centuries. However, after ruling much of the civilized world for centuries it came to an end. Historian's have debated its demise ever since and blamed it on several different factors, e.g., weakened armies, rise of Christianity, corruption, baraian invasion to name a few. In this book, i.e.,The Fall of the Roman Empire : Opposing Viewpoints (Great Mysteries) by Bradley Steffens these and other reasons are elequantly discused and I would dare say that I think that is an indespenseable tool for anyone remotely interested in the fall of the greatest empire the civilized world has ever seen. Highly Recommended.

As an avid student of, and experimenter in, recorded sound, and particularly in the historical aspects, I anticipated learning something new from this book. At first I was shocked at the glaring errors and omissions in this thin volume, but discovered on the fly leaf that this is classified as "Juvenile Literature." That explained it. I wish that fact had been made clear in Amazon's summary of this volume.

This is a very short book that is intended for children. Serious students of this case will NOT be interested. Very over-priced.
