Even a stay at home mom can enjoy this literature pick!
When Mama Comes Home Tonight may retell a day's events for working moms but the message is not exclusive to working women's children. This is a fantastic book because of its literary gift to children. The rhythmic, repetitive text encourages even young toddlers to chime in. I am a huge fan of illustrator Jane Dyer, who's illustrations contribute to the calming mood of the story. This book is a winner FOR ALL FAMILIES OF ALL MAKE UPS AND OCCUPATIONS. (It is a book that children of working parents can greatly relate to as well!) It is definitely a book that will be reread each night since it's message rings true to all children-- a parent's love and time is inmeasurable.

A Warm and Wonderful Book
This is an all time favorite of myself and my three year old daughter. The gentel reassurance of all the great things parent and child will do together when mama comes home tonight. This book helps calm children after a busy day and shows them all the things that they can look forward to doing with mama. A touching and beautiful book!

The best time of the day for a working mother and baby.
This is my 19-month-old daughter's new favorite book. She insists on reading it during the day with her babysitter and we read it together in the evening. The mother and child in this book go through soothing evening rituals that are comforting and loving. The storybook mamma is dressed in a very timeless and feminine dress and the whole evening is a celebration of her love for her child. They dance, sip tea, take a bath, put away the blocks, and of course read stories. This may be a bit different from the life of a real working mother, who often finds the evening rushed and hectic, but the perspective from the child is glorious, as the best time of the day has arrived. The illustrations are simple and cheerful and the text is a beautiful rhyme. In fact, I often find myself singing it to my daughter because it has a nice meter. One of the nice things about this book is that it doesn't matter if mamma is an astronaut, a corporate executive, a teacher, or an administrative assistant. The book is not about what mamma does for a living; it is what mamma does for the child. The mother is this book is just mamma-and she loves her baby.

this was a great book
I just finished reading Six Hogs on a Scooter. It is about six pigs in a family that are trying to get to the Opera House. They had trouble with about six different ways of transportation to get there. Almost all of them failed. The main characters are Penelope,Horace, Grandpa Hog, Mother Hog, Grandma Hog, and Father Hog.

The pictures describe a lot of how all the ways of transportation failed. This book is funny in some parts seeing how six hogs doing weird things to get to the Opera House. I think 2nd or 3rd graders would like this book.

A STELLAR review
We think this book is good for ages 2-10. We think kids would like this book because it is about funny pigs trying to get to the opera. They tried six different ways and succeeded once. Funny things happen at the end. We think your children will LOVE this book.

An Interesting Sight
The illustrations alone are a joy, but the story is quite interesting about a family of hogs who want to get to the opera. A wonderful family oriented book with quirky means of travel. Great for pre-schoolers.

Lizzie Logan gets married
I really liked this book. My favorite part was when Heather wanted to wear her dads football helmet because she was scared of bats. Bootsie cured Heather, Heather did not want to wear the helmet, not even to the wedding. Lizzie wore it instead because she decorated it for Heather and thought it looked to nice not to be worn. I would recommend this book to other kids.

Interesting, funny
I am in the fifth grade and I really liked reading this book, it is about Lizzie who is so bossy and likes to be in control of everything, she reminds me of a girl in my school. Some parts are really funny. I recommend this book for grade 3 to 5, it is very easy to read and you will not be able to put it down, you will want to read the whole book in one day.

Lizzie Logan, Second Banana
My sister is not a reader, meaning she does not like to read, yet the book held her attention. She finished it in a weekend. This book is cute, interesting, and appropriate for prepubescent females.

Charmingly illustrated celebration of tea parties.
Charming illustrations, delightful poems with delicious tea tips on every page! My grandaughter only wanted to read two of them at first, and then wouldn't be satisfied until we read the whole thing twice!
