A GREAT BOOK
I read this book in 1985 as a sophmore in high school. It was a scary book to read for me at the time because I had started getting in the habit of throwing up after eating. I had felt so much better after throwing up and thought that no harm would come of it. After reading the book cover to cover I realized how serious my actions were and stopped. I recently thought of this book because one of my older friends daughter has been battling anorexia and they have almost lost her a few times. It was a good book to read, after all, I have remembered it after 18 years.
Good-Bye Paper Doll
I read this book 9 years ago and I can still remeber how much I cried at the end. This is a book that every young girl MUST read and I would recomend it to boys as well.
Anorexia
I finished reading this book in about 4 days...and it was inspiring..being Anorexic myself, it taught me new tips and tricks...but it also showed me the consequences of being anorexic...oh well Im not gonna stop starving myself...Rosemary quit because she didn't have will power.and she was afraid of dying, unlike me.

book review
I read this book for my 10th grade IGL Class!! I though it was a good book I know some people that were just like Davy and Maxi! In the beging of the book Davy has no friends and he starts haning out with the popular kids. Davy really like this hanging out with the popular ones because Linda this girl he really like was one of them!! All they did was sit around and drink all the time Davy started hanging out with Maxi one of the popular kids and they did stuff toghther and got drunk all the time!! They finally decided that they had a alcohol problem so they went to a counselor to get help. At the end of the book they are both clean!! That is my review and when you read this book I hope you take it serously and not be stupid and become one your self.
Alcoholics need to read this book!!
This was a very good and scary book. It shows the truth of what happens to an alcoholic when they don't get help. When I first took this book off the shelf of the public library here, I was a bit skeptical of it because of the title. But since I've read it, it is one of my favorite books in the world!!
I WANT ALL ALCOHOLICS TO READ THIS BOOK!
This is a chilling story, especially if you're an alcoholic! You want to hear a story that's not just a number on a page (statistic), then read this. You'll see how low you can get if you're not there already!

needs help
This book needs some help. I am a big Family Fun Fan, and take the mag. and have all their books and was so excited to find that they had finally put a travel book together.
I loved the begining part about ways to travel with kids, all their tips and side notes. I liked that I could find kid friendly hotels and resturaunts.
But I was so dissapointed that alot of the states that I would be traveling in the book only talked about a few areas in that state. California should of had been one book and talked about northern and southern Calif., not just a few citties.
Family Fun has always had out of the way and unusal places to travel in their mag. why didn't they do this for their travel book.
If you are looking to see places all over the southwest in this book, you might be dissapointed like me.

Nothing but great from Family Fun!
I loved the book (we got the southeast one). It covers all of the southeast, not just FL and the big mouse! We live in GA so this book is awesome for us as we are central to all of the states it covers. If you are only buying one book, this should be it!! It rates must do's, costs, ages and also includes hotels and local eateries which most travel guides don't. I was very impressed. The above reviewer is reviewing the CA book so don't ket her review persuade you not to buy. You will not be disapointed!

Not worth it
this book is purly just something to read out of curiosity. The book has some good history, but there is so much ignorance within recent history portion that this book is laughable...You prabably know more without the book. Check it out of the library don't buy it.
