An essential history of the century's most important theatre
A great book. It details one of the most important theater companies to ever come out of the United States. The stories are rich(as in the once in a lifetime story of the audience's response to Waiting for Lefty) and the background thoroughly researched. As a member of a young, struggling theater company it gave me inspiration and comfort the way great history should. I wish she would write a biography of their logical successor, Steppenwolf of Chicago.

Not a book on the Goddess. Book of religious feminism.
This is a book on religious feminism (actual phrase from book). If you are interested in feminism with relation to spirituality, this book is for you. If you are interested in books on the Goddess with regard to mythology, this book is not for you.

Feminist, But Much Needed in the Neo-Pagan Community
This was the book that provided me the first step *out* of Wicca.

This may be a feminist book, but it provides some much-needed empathetic ritual structures for the neo-pagan community. Rite of passage and the eight-holiday wheel are covered - all in a sensual (as a literal raw term) manner. My favorite is the Beltane ritual, in which the participating men and women/wimmin/wombyn treat the phallic maypole and the vaginal earth-hole with respect (read: as if these were their own).

Again, strongly recommended - especially for the neo-pagan community.

From the back cover of the book:
With soulful depth of experience, stunning clarity, and well rounded understanding, Ms. Roberts hone ritual to the fine art that our post-modern age requires. For thealogical understanding, ritual inspiration, or feminist critique, this book is useful to novices and advanced practitioners alike. A rich and significant contribution to ritual design, pertinent to any faith.

A pleasantly surprising topic for a children's book
This book was heart warming. Adults and children root for these two (somewhat) elderly characters as their friendship blooms. Books such as these can help children develp a healthy attitude towards love and romance. Quaint illustrations.

Making Friends
Making friends is a fun and glorious childrens book that you will enjoy reading, regardless of age - and I recommend this enchanting book to anyone wanting a good laugh.

This is great
This is a truely fantastic book, my family just love it.
It is a special favourite at bedtimes. It is well written and interesting - not just one of those books that just drone on and on, I enjoy re-reading it just as if it was the first time.

older book yet still a valuable guide
the only reason this book does not get 5 stars is because it is not written this year. though written a few years ago it still holds much value as an incrediable guide book. allowing the traveller to look beyond the regular, average-joe, tourist things-to-do and really experience the country with a budget in mind.

i was completely impressed with the lack of attitude this book was written with. this book does not dictact like most other travel books. instead, you get the views of a group of university students, many thoughts, many opinions, which allows you to create your own opinion rather than being told.

it leaves you open to see all parts of the many countries listed in this book, not just the pricy hotels and tourist areas. i felt this book showed me a part of guatemala that i would not have seen if travelling with any other book. completely original in its way of travelling, and ideas about what to see and do. i would not doubt to reccomend this book to any of my friends, even though it is slightly dated.

i, once again, set my travelling sights toward central america and would not dream of being there without this book.

what more needs to be said??!@?!! it rules.

this book allows you to travel with value in mind. money does not dictate good times. the possibilities are endless with this book, regardless of the amount of money spent. definately ideal for the student or younger minded traveller with adventure in mind.

just wish they would continue to publish more of these perfect travel companions. last year i checked out the new york edition too. it was just as great. hope to see other similar publications in the future!!

A great way to make nutritious food for your best friend
This book was very well written. It includes cute notes about the author's dog, and amusing ancedotes about life with dogs. I used the cookie recepies, and my dog loved them. They are very easy to make, and don't take up alot of time. I had hoped for more treat recipies rather than meal recipies.

a great help for planning my dog's 4th birthday party
I really enjoyed No Barking at the Table ,the recipes were fun and easy to follow . Yes, some dogs are sensitive to onions according to my veterinarian,so I omitted that ingredient and Roxy didn't seem to notice and begged for more! I highly recommend the chicken broth cookies.

My kids love to help in the kitchen now!
My daughter recieved this book as a gift. It's a fun and friendly book with easy to follow instructions. My daughter and her friends wasted no time getting me to supervise in the kitchen! As a single father, I think that books like this are a great way to get more involved and interact with your children. The biggest plus to my surprise is that they even cleaned the kitchen afterwards! We have tried several recipe's from this book and Daisey & Gnasher (our poodle & minature dobie) loved them! Have fun with your family with this one. Highly recommended!

More for people that are familiar with the Language...
I am currently using this book in my College French101 Class. The only problem that I have with this book is that the instructions (for the activities)are in french, so to know what you are supposed to do you must look up every word you don't know, which (if you are a beginner) is most of them!

Waste of money and printer's ink
There is no indication that anybody with an active brain cell ever reviewed the contents of this book. Don't buy it. The recipes are mostly not what you would feel safe giving a cat. The way this book reads, it would appear that these are PEOPLE recipes that were "sponsored," so to speak, by two wandering kitties. There are a couple of interesting treat ideas, but it isn't worth the price of the book. Go to the pet store and look at the book there. I occasionally make my own cat food, and honestly feel this was a complete waste of money. If I dared to feed my cats what this book suggests, I expect they would die within the year. There is no nutritional info, either, nor any dietary advice.

Dangerous foods for kitty! Bad book!
The majority of the recipes in this book are strictly human. Some are downright stupid and dangerous to give to cats, containing ingredients like sugar and ham. By all means if you want to watch your cat die, or watch yourself grow fatter, buy this book. Otherwise leave it.

My cat loved the recipes!!!
My cat absolutely enjoyed all of the recipes in this book. I recommened this book to anybody who loves to cook and who has a cat!!
