Single to Single is a devotional geared to singletons, including those divorced or widowed. The book covers 52 weeks, with each week starting off with a "leader's" notes and then devotionals written by those in the group. All of the daily devotionals were written different, everyday people. There is a heap of sharing of lives as it applies to each week's 'power verse'. This is a handy book to keep by the bedside table for a little inspiration, but it is by no means a hardcore devotional like Oswald Chambers' My Utmost for His Highest.

I was hoping for a book that would help engaged couples draw closer to each other spiritually. There seems to be a great lack of devotionals for engaged couples and I was excited to be getting one. We don't have much that we can do with our wedding being a year and four months off, and with temptations high and trying to stay strong, we were hoping for something that would draw us closer to God as a couple and give us a good starting basis for being married. Instead we found a book that goes through the wedding vows and really does nothing for the couple themselves. I wish that there had been a review so I would have known more about this book. If you are looking to better understand the vows, this is a great book. If you want to draw into a closer spiritual intimacy with your future mate, this is not for you!

I bought this book for a friend and found that it was not a good book to send to her. The book talks about what you can do while you are waiting for the right one to come along. What it doesn't seem to point out is that some times the right one won't come along. Sometimes you are meant to be alone. If you are looking for a book to prop up your coffee table with this might work.
