Thats not stealing
I like this comic book because we Christian kids need something to read besides that other stuff. I am 10 years old and I have all of the comic books about Sarah. I tell my friends about Sarah to. That's all.

That's Not Stealing
Sarah is an interesting character that makes me anxious to see the next issue. In this issue I felt Sarah is the good guy. I felt sorry for her dad.

Insightful and historically accurate
This is an excellent book that describes, among other things, historic events in an interesting fictional setting. I thought it was interesting with the recent hub-bub about JFK's back problems that this was mentioned in this book, a couple of years before that recent story. Perhaps the authors knew a thing or two about things that happened. If you would like to know a little more about the Cuban Revolution and Castro's rise to power, but want to learn in an interesting and delightful fictional story, this is a great place to start.

intriguing likable character and a good plot
a solid book, garunteed satisfaction. more please!

a thoughful, powerful novel of suspense
April Smith has written a riveting, dark story about personal demons that have the power to chase us all the way to success - and maybe without the monsters on our heels we'd never have the courage to find it for its own sake. Ana Grey is a tough, ambitious FBI agent who thinks she knows herself, thinks she knows her best friend, the very married Mike Donnato, and she thinks she's on the fast track to a bigger and better job. It takes an explosive, high-profile arrest to prove she's wrong on all three counts, and her complacency is further shattered by a probationary assignment from her dirtbag boss. She learns a few unwelcome facts on her quest for the truth about life, love, and family. April Smith has written a gripping, suspenseful novel of conflict and retribution. A terrific book!

an intelligent mystery with well-developed characters
I can't believe this was her first novel! If you enjoy Robert Parker's Spenser, or Ed McBain's 87th precinct procedurals, you'll love this book! Outstanding plot, characters who are intelligent and real, and a story you'll not only enjoy, but remember for a long time.

Excellent Story, Horrible Writing
OK, this story was sweet but what in the world happened to the editing? I am sorry but when I have to pick up a pen and make grammatical corrections, I get ticked off. I was amazed at how great the story is but how poorly it was written. I strongly suggest use of an editor. An editor is the authors best friend when it comes to their writing. I am still not sure if I understand how this book was published without it being edited. For such a great story-I am sure the book will need to be edited before it goes any further. I suggest editing it right away!

A Story of Overcoming!
A good storyline but it could have been more grammatically correct. All of the characters showed depth and projected the real emotional situations that most college students deal with. Its focus on the importance of higher education is commendable. Camille overcame obstacles that would have discouraged most, yet they only forced her to strive harder. Its setting: on a college campus with all the studying, mentoring, forging of friendships, organizations, love interests and partying, created a reminiscing effect for those that had the opportunity to partake of the college experience. All and all Strivers Row is a story worth reading.

A Little Bit of Everything
Strivers Row is a good, different story that encompasses a little bit of everything--family, frendships, romance, academics and nostaglia for those who want to return to those college days. Grandmother Mary was something else; she did somewhat redeem herself, but Aunt Phyl saved the day. Strivers Row is about setting goals, working hard, realizing your dream and reaching back to help others. Add this delightful debut novel to your reading collection.

A Good Conscience
I am glad to see Christian comic books on the market. I have seen a view, but not like this one. I enjoyed the reading very much.

Good stuff....
A nice collection of artists, with some great examples of what they can do. But....
Paper stock is poor and some prints are a bit blurry.

Look at it Regularly!
This is a great artbook, featuring many famous furry artists. I love the art, and look at it regularly. If you're a fan of Michele Light, I recommend it.

The best book in the world.
This book started my physical collection of furry publishings, and still remains the best singal pice I have. Not only is it perfectaly published, but contains excellent examples of anthropomorphic artwork. Its my personal bible.

Better than I thought I would be
I purchased this book after reading several reviews and wasn't sure how it would measure up to North of Montana, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have to admit I enjoyed it alot more than I thought I might. Originally, I was a little skeptical about the story line, and there were a few far reaches with some of the characters (Galinis was a little hard to believe and to get a feel for)but overall it had a good pace and keep my attention with great baseball insight and several well written characters. I would recommend this to other fans of April Smith.

Be the One to ENJOY THIS BOOK!
Here's a tangled web of intrigue...voodoo, Dominican bad guys, sleazy realtors, too too rich people, ruthless drug lords...

But what sets this apart is the lead character, a 35 year-old athletic blonde who happens to have three passions...baseball, the truth, and well, sex.

Without the trappings of "liberated female" fiction, April Smith is able to make Cassidy Sanderson a strong and independent person who you want to root for. Some of the descriptions of the parties among the rich and the world of baseball scouts are so delicious you want to read them over again before you move on. As a screenwriter, she of course has an ear for dialogue, but I like the present-tense tension in the book, where you're living it as you read it.

Very unusual idea, having a woman who knows more about baseball than your average beer-gut or Bob Costas dweeb. But it's not just a "woman' book" it is for fans of baseball and good writing.

Better than her previous book
Former superstar Cassidy Sanderson does not feel like a pioneer or a freak. Instead baseball has always been part of her gene pool so being the only female major league baseball scout seems normal to Cassidy. She knows that for her to keep her job, she needs to remain productive, signing prospects for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Lately, Cassidy seems in a slump so when she receives a tip about the next great Dominican Republic athlete, she immediately flies to the Caribbean.

On the island, Cassidy meets financier Joe Galinis and realizes that Alberto Cruz is even more than she expected. She returns home with a major prospect and a lover. However, instead of accolades and a bonus, Cassidy finds herself in the midst of a voodoo-blackmailing plot that leaves her wondering who can she trust?

Sports mystery fans, especially lovers of baseball will warmly welcome the return of Cassidy Sanderson (see NORTH OF MONTANA). In her mid thirties, Cassidy still retains that competitive toughness that provides the edge to a well-drawn character. The clever intermingling of baseball, scouting, and voodoo turns BE THE ONE into a perfect game that will surely place April Smith's novel on everyone's top three lists of sports mysteries.
